Hogwarts RPG Name: Sirius Potter Fourth Year | Gryfflepuff McAike stood up from behind his desk and went to the shelf to gather the goblets that would be used in today's lesson. The goblets were like the one the students used in the Great Hall on a daily basis. They were heavy glass with a few chips here and there. Since they came with the classroom McAiken was fairly certain that the one that were damaged in the Great Hall found their way here to be used for Transfiguration practice.
McAiken took and set one goblet on each desk.

*looks up to listen to the professor*
"Oh, okay. Looking around, she notices that no ones still in the room*
"Professor, hope you won't mind if I ask...where have you been these past weeks? Did you have to go out of school?" she asks, hoping that Professor McAiken won't find her too nosy.

I took this position on short notice for them and it was only right I should take care of the issues that came up," McAiken offered as he continued to work his way around the round the room setting it up.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Sirius Potter Fourth Year | Gryfflepuff McAiken finishes putting out the goblets on the desks and returns the tray to shelf. He takes out his wand as he move to the blackboard. Moving his wand lettering begins to appear on the board. It reads:
Transfiguration Lesson Two
Switching Spells
Incantation: transmogrify
Process: Picture in your minds eye the goblet then think about the frog you want to appear on your desk. Now with that set and using a swish flick motion of your wand use the incantation to transfigure the goblet into the frog.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Sirius Potter Fourth Year | Gryfflepuff "Alright, now this is a simple Switching Spell. It's not that much harder than the pin to pillbox we did in Lesson One. When you have review the board you may begin. I'll be moving about the room to observe you and help you. In a bit we'll have a discussion on how you are doing, make correction and then we finish up will some more practice." McAiken states as he turns back to face the class.

| Kali writes down the notes off of the board onto her piece of parchment. She then looks at her goblet, thinking of the frog she wanted to turn it into. |

| Lexy gripped her wand tightly, then relaxed, she had always had a knack for trangfig. She smiled and concentrated fully on the goblet, then a frog. She momentarily closed her eyes, when she opened then she whispered the incantation "transmogrify!" The goblet twitched for a moment, then started shaking, then, it disapeared. Only to be immediatly replaced with a frog. She smiled and poked the frog, to make sre it was solid. It croaked and attempted to jump off the desk. She quickly grabbed it and shuddered as she held it down. She smiled sheepishly at the professor. |

Nadia took out her wand but before starting practicing she raised her hand to ask, "Professor, I have a question: What is it referred to 'Swtiching Spells' if it only is another common Transfiguration spell? Can we say it acts differently? Maybe it switches something which already exists somewhere else into the item we are casting it and switching them in space? I'm curious. It does seem the case but I thought about asking."
While waiting for the professor to answer, Nadia motioned her wand the way the incantation should go, swish-flick, practicing it but without the incantation. The rest should be easier, she thought.

| Lexy thought for a moment at Nadia's comment then raised her hand "So...as in switching spell did the goblet switch places with this frog?" She laughed quietly to herself at the thought of a Hogwarts goblet floating around in a swamp somewhere. She sighed as the frog made another daring leap, apparently it wasn't too fond of the desk. She held it down, trying to keep from noticing how warty it was. |

Serena takes down notes: Transfiguration Lesson Two
Switching Spells
Incantation: transmogrify
Process: Picture in your minds eye the goblet then think about the frog you want to appear on your desk. Now with that set and using a swish flick motion of your wand use the incantation to transfigure the goblet into the frog.
Serena started to practice her wand movement. ''Swish and flick" she said talking to herself. She started thinking about the frog she would transform the goblet into and decided on a green shiny tree frog. "Transmogrify!" she cried and noticed that her goblet changed to the color she imagined, but remained a goblet with the addition of frog legs. The goblet began to hop away so she shouted "Immobulus" and the cup stopped moving. Again she cast the spell "Transmogrigy" being careful to swish and flick precisely as Professor McAiken had shown, and was glad to see the goblet was no longer discernible, because it had turned into a tree frog. As the frog started to jump away, she managed to capture it before it made its way off her desk.

Graduated | Swish-flick motion, transmogrify. Jaren practiced the wand movement a few times, then aimed his wand at the goblet in front of him. "Transmogrify."
For a moment nothing happened, then the goblet twitched, fell over and bounced, growing frog's legs first before eyes and the rest of its body. Jaren placed his hand in front of the frog to keep it from jumping off the table, then gently picked it up and placed it in front of him. The frog regarded him with a blank stare.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Sirius Potter Fourth Year | Gryfflepuff Most Transfiguration spells fall under two divisions in my research. The are Switching Spells where we as wizards and witches switch the struction of one object or thing for another. The most difficult Switching Spell is self transforming into an animagus form. The second divison or broad group is Vanishing Spells. Moving one object or item to another location. When we use the Apparation Spell we perform one of the most difficult spells in this group. Most of our transportion ways fall in the Vanishing Spells group floo powder is a vanishing potion even though it is a dry powder it is many different ingredents put together to vanish us from one place into another. The Portus Charm and Evanesco are also in this group.

| Double Agent Stamps! Terry sits and listens closely to what the professor has to say. Since their time in detention together, she has a new appreciation of Professor McAiken and his class. Since Transfiguration is her worse subject, she could stand to pay more attention in class as it is. She takes the goblet the professor provided and places it in front of her. Terry stares at it getting the mental picture in her mind of the goblet as a frog. Sure she has the image correct, she takes her wand, performs a swish flick motion, and says transmogrify. Looking down at her desk, she had hoped she see a green frog. Instead, she sees a green crystal frog paper weight. Depressed at her failed attempt, she sighs and says, "Well, at least it looks like a frog. Maybe that will count for something." Professor McAikin walks over and observes her attempt at trying to turn a goblet into a frog. He then grabs Terry by the wrist and swishes her wand around. A cold chill come over her, and she looks deep into the professor's eyes. They have suddenly turned a violent shade of her red. He may not wear the Dark Lord's mark, but there is no doubt in her mind he is one of his minion. Frightened she tries to get her wrist away from him. The tip of her wand hits the crystal frog causing it to shatter. At the same time, Professor McAiken's owl, Nobel, leaves his perch in the front of the class and flies to Terry desk. He picks at his masters hand until her finally lets go of the girl. Terry then starts stroking Nobel and says to the professor, "I'm sorry, professor. I have no idea how that happened." She continues to stare at Professor McAiken with a look of fear in her eyes.

Diana practiced swishing and flicking her wand. When she felt that she was ready she shouted, Transmogrif, no that's not right...Thansmo...no...ah here we go- Transmogrify!
Instantly, her goblet transformed into a dozen frogs and they began jumping all over the classroom. Panicking, she immediately conjured a freezing charm on the dozen before they got too far. She picked them up and places them onto her table. This time, she does it right- she reversed her spell and began from the beginning:
goblet-> a red-bellied tree frog (and it ribbited!)
Satisfied, she performed another freezing charm to keep it from hopping off the table.

Padfoot for some reason was having trouble picturing a frog, plus a goblet just didn't look like it could become one. Finally Padfoot appeared to have a idea when he reach across his desk and flip the goblet upside down. Satisfied that the main section of the goblet looked somehow more froggish that way, he tired to perform the spell.
His wand cut through the air and he gave the incantation. As the stream on silver blue light hit the goblet, it appeared to be melting. The meltdown only took a moment then a small bright green and yellow tropical frog was formed before his eyes. He smiled because the frog was indential to the ones he had seen in South America's Amazon rainforest. After looking at the frog for a minute or two he allowed his mind's eye to picture a goblet. When ready he performed the incantation again. The next 10 seconds was like watching the earlier transfiguration on VHR tape in reverse. Wicked, he thought to himself.

Sangeetha pulled out her wand and concentrated hard. She then repeated the words in her mind. Transmogrify!
She then pointed her wand at the goblet and said the words, firstly swishing her wand then flicking it smartly. 'Transmogrify!'
She watched hopefully as the spell sank onto the goblet. Slowly the it disappeared with a faint pop and a frog appeared, croaking loudly. It attempted to jump but she held it before it moved.

Sangeetha then smiling at the success of her spell then takes out her Phoenix feathered quill, parchment and green ink. She then wrote: Transfiguration Lesson Two
Switching Spells
Incantation: 'transmogrify'
Process: Picture in your minds, eye the goblet then think about the frog you want to appear on your desk. Now with that set and using a swish flick motion of your wand use the incantation to transfigure the goblet into the frog.
Sangeetha paused thinking what to write next. It was her habit to write something extra. frowning, she couldnt think anything else. Determined, she placed her quill on the parchment again. Try to also picture the color of the frog and the size.
Sangeetha chuckled, shaking her head at her idiotic sentence. 'Dog.' she said to herself.
