| | |  Lesson#1: An Introduction to Love Potions
As you wander around the newly rennovated dungeon, you see a notice stuck on the door to the potions classroom: Attention Students from All Houses and Years
The first Potions Lesson of the term will commence on Tuesday, October 5th at 4pm EST (9pm GMT). The lesson will be "An Introduction to Love Potions" and is open to students from all houses and years. Please be sure to read the Classroom Rules before coming to class.

The door to the potions classroom opens, as if by itself but, as you walk into the room, you notice a house elf scurrying to the back of the classroom. He dissappears through a door at the back of them dimly lit room.
You walk in and take a seat and wait for the Professor to arrive. The older students wonder if Professor Airlia will be in a better mood this term while the newcomers wonder what it will be like to have a ghost teaching them potions.

*Cass walks into the Potions classroom, noticing Genie she smiles and waves at her fellow Gryffindor and friend. Taking a seat near Genie Cass tries to save a space for her good friend Lizzy as well. Then she turns her attention to the only other student yet to arrive.*
"Hi Genie" Cass says warmly. "I'm really looking forward to this class and what we'll be learning. Is the Professor as good as they all say?" Cass asks with a questions glance.

Didymus quietly made her way to an empty seat. She placed her bag in front of herself and took out her potions books, some parchment, a quill and ink, just in case they would be needed.

Jaren enters the classroom and takes a seat near the back. His hair is damp and unruly, as if he'd just taken a shower and didn't have time to fully dry it. Silently, he pulled out a quill and a roll of parchment from his bag and waited for the lesson to begin.

She takes out her quill and parchment, smiles at Llewellyn, and while she waits for the Professor to begin, wonders what the Professor will be like.

Professor Airlia floats through the door at the back of the classroom and perches on the end of her desk. "Good afternoon, class. Welcome to Potions. For those of you I haven't met, I am Professor Airlia. I hope you've all taken the time to read my classroom rules which are posted just outside the door. I am not going to waste our time going over them in class so, I will assume you have read them and are willing to suffer the penaties should you misbehave.
"Now, for our first class, we will be reviewing some things from last term and adding to that knowledge. The last two lessons of the previous term, we brewed and Anti-love, or delusting, potion and I would like to start out the present term by discussing love potions. First question: Why are love potions against Hogwarts Rules?"

"Yes, you are all correct however, as the first to answer, Reign earns 5 points for Slytherin. Love Potions take away a person's free will and, in effect, allows control over them. However, there are other reasons why these potions are forbidden. Can anyone suggest what they might be?"
