"Why yes, Serena, you can go to any one of the many dragon reservations to view that perticular species. Why in Sweden there is a Swedish Short-Snout reservation in which the Swedish's Annual Broom Race is run! Interesting race...not every contestant makes it through to the end. However there are Medi-Wizards on hand to ensure that there are no fatalities. Anyway....I think this is as good a spot as any to end the lesson. I do have some homework to assign, but before I do, I need to correct myself. Earlier I told you that the bones of a dragon were hollow and then I told you that they were more like a sponge or swiss cheese in character. Let me clarify this though I will probally cover this again in our next lesson. The interior structure of dragon bone is somewhat hollow. Hopefully I will be able to put my hands on a diagram I have in mind to help clarify this. They are not hollow like that of a bird's bone structure yet they are not solid like that of a mammal. They are riddled with small pockets or holes like that of a sponge or swiss cheese. I hope I haven't been too confusing and I appologize for any misunderstandings. Like I said before, I will cover this in greater detail in our next lesson."
HM Hendrik turns back to the board and points his wand at a piece of chaulk,
"Deportoare domus."
The chaulk quickly begins writing the homework assignment on the board:
1. Discribe the General differences between the Western and Eastern dragons. 2. Looking at the diagram of the muscular system of a Western type dragon, which four muscle groups would you think would be responcible for flight? 3. How are the Eastern dragons differentiated and briefly describe these differences. 4. Are dragons homoiothermic? Explain. 5. Give a general description of a dragon's scale. 6. What is Draconigena? 7. Why have dragons been placed into a completely seperate class in the Animal kingdom? "Right, now take as much parchment as needed to complete this assignment. All work is due to my by next Friday, the 29th of October. I know I didn't answer all of the questions everyone had but hopefully by the end of our unit on dragons, everyone's questions will be answered."
HM Hendrik paused for a moment as he surveyed the class. He smiled and said,
"Class dismissed." OOC: When submitting you homework, please send it to profhendrik@hotmail.com
