HM Hendrik opened the door to his classroom and made his way to the front of the room. He arranged his stack of papers on his desk and took a seat. Class would be starting in a minute. He waited for more students to show up. |

| "Very good Aby, 5 points to Ravenclaw! And let me make myself clear....I never said that the Chinese Fireball could not fly. Only certain species of Eastern Dragons have no bones in thier wings. The illustration of the Eastern Dragon is only a "general" representation of Eastern Dragons, just as the first illustration is a "general" illustration of the Western Dragon skeletal system. Each specific dragon species will have small differences in their specific skeletal make up. Now is everyone clear on that?"

Jaren scribbled down a few notes and attempted to sketch the diagram of the Eastern dragon skeleton.

"sir, if dragons are divided into eastern and western dragons, where does the Antipodean Opaleye fit in that classification?"

So I would say eastern, but then again it eats sheep and arn't eastern dragons thought of as nice (as opposed to western dragons that people would think are mean)." |

| Rosalita looked at her parchment, studying it and taking in everything it said. At the same time she listened to the questions being asked of the Professor, awating his replies eagerly. |

Dark_Chimera grinned as he stared at the blackboard and its diagram of the Eastern dragon. Now this was something he could relate to...a creature from his homeland. He was eager to add his own comments to the discussion, but decided to restrain himself to see what the professor Hendrik and his classmates thought first.

Nadia nodded. "Ah, now I understand. So, the first dragon draw is that of an Western Dragon. The main difference between these two species seems to point out they have different origins and body-structures; one looking like a serpent while the other, reptile-like too, look like an overfeed lizard - if I'm allowed the comparison."
*ponders* "You could say the same about humans races, almost, if descarding the image of Adan and Eva."

*Andi listens carefully* hmm... professor- would you be able to give us some more examples of eastern dragons? Or perhaps how you can tell upon first glance if it is an eastern dragon? I'm having lots of trouble thinking of kinds that don't seem to have any bones in their wings...

"In Muggle literature, anyway, Eastern dragons are depicted as being wise, while Western dragons are depicted as being evil, hording treasure and eating wandering travellers. Perhaps this serves as a distinction between the attitudes of Eastern and Western Muggles towards magic, though I may be wrong."

Nadia nodded at Ashley. "Actually the only Eastern Dragon Scamander's book Fantastic Beast and Where to Find them (FB) is the Fire-Ball or Lion Dragon. I believe this last name is given because of the long mousache it has On the other hand it is called 'Fire-Ball because of the shape of its fire breath - the only fire that is shaped like a ball." Each specific dragon species will have small differences in their specific skeletal make up.
"The most common differences is the color and the place they are most seen. In their physical appearance we can find lenght of horns, size and weight, the color of them and other special characteristics that is. In color on their whole body, they eyes and their fire. There are 10 main species and their hibrids."

"Actually," said Dark_Chimera, unable to contain himself any longer, "there are two kinds of Eastern Dragon forms that exist...at least in China. The Liondragon gets it name not only from the beard, but also because it is the dragon depicted in the traditional 'Lion Dance' that Chinese Muggles perform for special occasions like bringing in the New Year. They call the dragon a lion though it looks nothing like one, hence...Liondragon."
"The serpentine dragon is a true dragon that us wizards and Chinese folklore reckonize. It's depicted in Muggle folklore as the Guardian of bodies of water, such as the Yellow River."

"Oh," Nadia said surprised. "How interesting. Actually it makes me remember of this film, the Endless Story, where there was this fluffy giant dog with snake-like body that was called a Dragon. Ah, random fact. Back to the point: how's the LionDragon body shapped? I'm curious."
This is the body-structure I've of a FireBall:
*checks in book* "Scamander (FB) doesn't talk about the difference of the two species... Probably because he's thinking one is the hibrid from the other, that must be it. Still, it's incomplete, I noticed too."

Hogwarts RPG Name: Birdy Sixth | Birdy labled her two charts with name and house, then took out a roll of blank parchment for note-taking. Excited to be in her first CoMC class, Birdy listened intently to the students discussing dragons.

Serena was fascinated with the class discussion. "Dragons have always been a fascinating subject to me" she said to herself. Raising her hand she asked, "How easy would it be to actually see a real dragon? From a distance, I might add!"

HM Hendrik listended as the entire class commented on about the differences between the Eastern and Western dragons. "Now, now class, if I may have your attention. You all have made some very good comments, but I need to continue. I will try to answer everyone's questions, but please try and hold them until the end of the lecture. Hopefully I will answer them as I go....now then, where was I...Ah yes! I have another parchment for you to look at before we begin a slight history of the dragon.."
HM Hendrik then levitates another stack of parchments from his desk and as it floats around the class, each student takes one. Parchment
