CoMC-Lesson One
 

HM Hendrik opened the door to his classroom and made his way to the front of the room. He arranged his stack of papers on his desk and took a seat. Class would be starting in a minute. He waited for more students to show up.

*Aby entered the classroom not really sure about being able to atend that class, after all she was just a second year. She hesitated by the door and finaly, after taking a deep breath, she walked up to the professors desk and asked*

"Hi, my name is aby, im a ravenclaw, and I wanted to know if I could attend this class, since im very interested in the subject... the problem is that im a second year, and i dont know if im allowed"

Nadia entered and sat on a random table. She had a grim look on her face... but, well, she always had a grim look lately, doesn't she? Common thing. One would think the hormones was turning her hysterical.

"Good afternoon," she nodded as greeting.

*Not getting an answer, she sees two fellow Ravenclaws also in the room and walks towards them*.

"Hey gals can you tell me if this is a lesson for all years? Cause I heard that only students from third year and above could take this lesson..." *she asks looking confused*

"Good afternoon Nadia, I do hope you understand my reasoning to your request in my office earlier...it's just that if I were to grant every student a request to start a club or create a special area around the castle for something that interests them....well I dare say even the castle elves would be able to keep up with it."

He then looked over to Aby and said, "Yes, my class is not limited to a students year, though at times I might refer back to lessons taught in previous terms....I should give you all enough information to do well on your homework and any exams that I might give."

Turning back to face the class...
"Now....I'm sure that the subject I have to cover would have been extremely useful last term. I had every intention of teaching you this then, but well certain issues kept me from doing so. I also know that several of last term H.I.T. House Champions will do well and may offer several points of interest. So having said that, let's begin. Please take a parchment and pass the rest."

HM Hendrik handed a stack of parchments to Nadia and returned to the blackboard.

Parchment

"Amazing..." *wispered aby taking a seat while she looked at the parchment. She took out a small book for notes and ink and a big blue quill*

(*to Hendik* "Maybe, but this is a project that I've been thinking of and try implimenting in my summer school too. Kind of group psyquiatry. Wouldn't hurt anybody and would interest not a secluded group only. Those are my reasons.")



Nadia took a look, chuckled and then give each of the students a parchment.


*raise hand "What specie of dragon is this? I'm pretty sure it's not a Fire-Ball, quite different structure."

"hm.." Riiya said from the middle of the class. she had never seen such a detailed anatomy of anything, seeing as dragons were her first, she fount it..cute.

"Wow," Shannon said under her breath as she examined the parchment.

Cari Walks Into Class And Decided It Sit Next To Shenanigan. Hey Shen I Hope Its O For Me To Site Here? Gets Out A Peice Of Parchment And Takes Notes*

"What about a Hungarian Horntail... Look at its spine, it kinda matches the description, even though I think this is a very general drawing... I mean, it could be any dragon, it depends on the color of their skin and other characteristics" *she said to Nadia*

Shannon scoots her massive bag closer to her desk so that Cari can sit down by her. "Sure!"

*nods* Indeed. Ironbelly or Longhorn could be to *to Aby*

Greek_snitch looks in the parchments. "Hm... It looks like a Hungarian Horntail"

"Well I am hoping that you will be able to add to this class Nadia, seeing you did cover a lot of what I will be covering this lesson. And no, it's not a Fireball, their skeletal system is somewhat different. What you all are looking at is a general skeletal system of a Western Dragon. I am glad you brought it up, Nadia. If you all would touch the parchment with your wand, you will see the skeletal system of the Eastern Type Dragons."

HM Hendrik then waved his wand and the same image on each students parchment appeared on the blackboard.

Blackboard

"So that is a fireball, well, they are the only eastern dragons known... I had no idea they couldnt fly" *she said surprised taking a few notes*

Mrs. Weasley raises her hand. Professor, when you use the term Eastern and Western dragon are you referring to their geographical location? Or are the dragons named Eastern and Western dragons?

"That is a very good question, Mrs. Weasley. I am referring to their geographic regions. Now who can tell me which particular dragons belong in these general groups?"

"Now Aby, I never said that Eastern Dragons couln't fly, it's just that certain species have no bones in their wings. Some Eastern Dragons wings are made completely of cartilage and muscle."

*Rasies her hand*
"The fire ball is the only known dragon that belongs in the Eastern dragons, acording to Newt Scamander. Then in the western dragons we have between many, the hungarian Horntail, the Peruvian Vipertooth, The Common welsh green, the ucraninan ironbelly, the rumanian longhorn and many others" *she said still thinking about other dragons*

"The Hungarian Horntail and Norwegian Ridgeback would be Western Dragons, wouldn't they? And I'd think that the Chinese Fireball would be an Eastern Dragon since it can't fly," Shannon said.

*Kirstie examined both diagrma carefully and listened to what the professor was saying*

"Oh...Interesting..." *she said taking a few notes in her notebook*
