"Professor?" Patricia raised her hand and placed down her quill,

"What if the length of the wand completely contrasted with the personality given with the type of core used? Would that mean you'd have to just choose which one of the definitions was more like you?"

"Oh!" Nadia says excitendly. "That means that if you buy your wand when you are 11 and it's long that might probably mean you will grow several inches too, isn't it? It's like Muggle foot-lenght calculations! They say, if your feets are large you are going to grow into a tall man or woman^^"

*smiles* "So the inches are your feet," *lol* "Make sense! You could say your inches show the 'path' you are going to 'walk into'!"

"Nice symbolism... Thanks professor."

"Well, I don't see I have too much control of myself this very minute..." ponders with a grim voice, "...corruption."

Shannon copies all of this into her notes, vowing never to let the bad things come to be in her life.

Megan copies all her notes down about her wand then she decides to read some of her text book.

"Oh, and I'd like to say just one thing about the wand cores as you are writing your notes. I may have sounded like all other wands with neither phoenix, unicorn or dragon cores are bad. This is not the case. The three I mentioned are merely the most common and trusted wands. Wand cores can actually be anything, as long as it's magical. The magic in the core makes the wand itself, well, magic. So it would really be no use filling a hollow stick with muggle batrer...batt...whatsits! These three cores mentioned in the book are by far the most magical and safe, so if you ever think of becoming a wand-maker, I suggest using them."

"prefessor? What do we do when we've finished wrighting down are notes?"

Francis writes down notes about the meanings of wandlengths. She also writes to the side what her wand means. Smiling, she starts to look over at Shannon's notes to see what her wand is like.. however, seeing her somewhat worried look, she gets back to her own notes.

Shannon, seeing Francis peeking over at her wand, suddenly smiles and points to 10, then 2 quarters with her wand, and mouths silently, "Vanity...Honestly..."

"15 inches: The Devil. Freedom, light, hope, charity, power. // Greed, tyranny, lust, discontent, depression. It sounds like alot of negative things for me professor. The only ones that fit me are freedom, light, hope, charity."

Pookah stared at her wand, and raised her hand.


"Professor, is it true that the core shows if someone will become a Dark Wizard?
People also tell me my wand is evil or un-lucky...why?"

13 inches: Death. Transformation. // Loss

Ashlie stares numbly at her handwriting, watching th eink dry across the page. How was it that one little length of a peice of wood could tell exactly what Ashlie's life had been like? She bit her lip, staring numbly at the drying ink.

Mint thinks about the sizes of the wands and what they mean
She thinks that only a part of that is correct and wonders why. Every other part was hitting the nail on the head but this just skimmed the top.

"Professor, why is it that the size of the wand is the only thing that does not quite match me? The core and wood match me almost perfictly but the size seems to be really off. Could this mean that I don't really know who I am or that maybe I choice not to see that side of me?"

Kali looked down on the wand length for her wand.

"Hmm..." she said thinking out loud.

Alex takes down the notes on length and wood style. "Interesting," Looking down at her cherry wand she puts down the quality that shows.

Aph stares at her notes for a moment before writing down what would be equivalent to her wand.
17 inches: The Star. Insight, understanding, hope, health. // Tension, pessimism, obstinacy, lack of opportunity.

He never mentioned my core, she told herself, scanning her notes once again.
She raises her hand and asks,
"Professor, Maybe there is nothing wrong with cores beyond, unicorn hair, Dragon heartstring, and Phoenix feather....but why is there only information about those three? What about the others? Do they just like.....speak for themselves? Conect more with the owner of the wand?"

"Well, those ARE the most common... in this part of the world, at least. What's your core? Maybe I can help. I'm a bit of a wand-buff myself."

"It's one of my grandmother's hairs...." She says uncertainly.

Tegan looks at her wand."Oak (leaves)- bravery" "Hmmm, 13 inches...death, transformation.//loss..." Oh boy if they only knew...if they only knew," she mumbled under her breath.

"Was there anything special or unusual about your grandmother? Was she a veela, werewolf, vampire, or a witch of notable power?"

Taking a break from scribbling down notes, Birdy picked up her own wand and twirled it in her fingers. She never thought that the actual wand could tell about herself, but the professor's charts and characterisics seemed to fit her, even if she didn't always agree with them. Herbology wasn't one of her subjects, and her wand length didn't seem to fit her at all. She frowned as she read over her wand measurement notes. 'Loss and faliure'? That certainly didn't seem like a good omen. And she never thought of herself as having 'deep emotional nature'.

"An elf.....don't worry about it...I'll ask her....maybe she will know..." Turns back to her paper and begins writing.

"An elf?" Arkee looked doubtfully at a house-elf that was fixing a candle-fixture in the corner of the classroom.

"I'm quite sure you don't mean one of those kinds of elves. But I'm not really familiar with any other kind. What kind of elf was she?"

"Now my wand seems to fit my personality!Thanks for clearing that up Professor!"Catherine said looking at her wand. "This is really interesting" she says to herself

Rosie looks at her 8 inch, almond, unicorn hair wand again as she writes down some more notes. That's almost just weird...I have a small wand, and I'm very short, and I am usually hopeful...and honest and reliable...but physical strength? and courage? hmmm... She thinks a bit about what her wand means while staring at her wand.
