 Once you've tickled the pear and turned the knob, the Hogwarts kitchen will be revealed to you. Located directly beneath the Great Hall, the kitchen is a high-ceilinged room with five identical tables to the ones in the dining room above. Unlike the room situated above however, heaped around the walls are large quantities of pots and pans. On one end of the room are shelves of plates and utensils, stoves, sinks, and a large brick fireplace.
Here numerous house-elves are working on the castle's next meal when they aren't tending to their other duties as employees of the school. The team of house-elves have specific assignments to accomplish inside the kitchen, whether it is to cook, wash the plates and cutlery, keep the pantry stocked, place more wood into the fire, or set the tables before everything is summoned to its exact replicas overhead. Though the house-elves are incredibly busy, they will surely serve you a snack ... if you aren't asking Algamus. Or you can, of course, make your own food. Just don't leave a mess behind!
OOC: Please do not role-play for the House-Elves.

With holiday season approaching, Yulietta was beginning to feel a bit festive. She did her best to fight off the guilt at the pit of her stomach that she was living what was possibly her best life, when her family back in Mexico maybe weren't. Or maybe she was overthinking it? Her presence wasn't needed back home, her mom made sure of it. She was usually in the way, so maybe they were living their best life over there and she was over here, worrying about them.
Somehow either thought had her feeling a bit homesick–something she didn't think was possible. So she busied herself in the kitchen, preparing some homemade tortillas for some tacos. Don't get her wrong, she enjoyed the food here. There was a wide range of flavors, but nothing beat the smell and taste of recently made tortillas. It was life being wrapped up in a comforting hug.

Merlin, why didn't anyone tell him that motherfatherhood would be so hard? As of late, he was constantly tired and hungry. The former he honestly could (and did) put the blame on those lengthy study sessions for NEWT examinations, which were approaching faster than he wanted to admit. As for the latter, well... the truth was that he was always hungry.
But at least now he had a really good excuse for making the trek all the way down to the basement of the castle from Gryffindor tower. He was eating for two!
After tickling the pear, Logan waddled stepped inside the kitchen to satisfy his rumbling stomach. He gave it a rub, though it was not actually his own stomach he was touching. Beneath his shirt, because he was taking his mother's assignment very seriously, was the dragon egg. At first the sensation, especially when running on the grounds, was uncomfortable, but now the dragon baby bump felt only natural.
The blond took in a deep breath, taking in all of the different scents that space had to offer. Instantly his stomach growled, much louder than it had before. Now what was he in the mood to snack on?

Unlike her big brother, Bryony thought being a mama was the greatest thing in the entire world! The only thing better would be having her precious little egg hatch. She might not have the same leveling of studying to do as her big brother, but she did have a lot of her own things going on this term. Fourth year was proving to be quite eventful for her, thankfully things has been looking up, up, up!
Speaking of 'up', this girl had just come from all the way upstairs in the Room of Requirement which she had been using today as her own personal training spot. Time had been lost as she went through the course over and over again, moving from obstacle to obstacle. An deep hunger had been worked up in no time at all. Which could only mean a trip to the kitchen was in order!
No stops anywhere needed to be made either, as Bry had her baby dragon egg with her already, for it was wrapped snuggly in a blanket and tucked away very safely in a baby carrier on her back today. Or was, as she headed downstairs the egg was removed from its carrier to be held in her arms against her chest.
Reaching the portrait to the kitchen, she reached out to give the pear a tickle. As it giggled, so did she. The door was tugged open and the blonde stepped inside, her gaze almost instantly falling on another blonde she knew all too well. "Logan!!!"

The Gryffindor glanced around the kitchen, scouting out the tables and shelves for food the house-elves had readily available. The options were abundant, which made this part of the castle one of his favourites. And the fact that the elves (well, most of them) let him help himself or were eager to make something for him whenever he popped in certainly was a bonus.
His eyes lit up as he then spotted a tray of freshly baked pumpkin pasties a few tables away. As he took a few steps in that direction, he was quickly distracted by a series of plates containing treacle tart.
Before he could give the entire kitchen a full walkthrough, Logan turned at the sound of his name. Instantly he recognized the voice. A tired but genuine smile spreading across his face when he saw his little sister. "Hey, Bry," he greeted her. "Fancy seeing you here."
"How's your baby dragon doing?" he asked, nodding towards the egg she held protectively against her chest. "Mine's been keeping me on my toes. Or rather, on my stomach," he added with a chuckle, giving his midsection a gentle rub. "So far I'm debating between those pasties or maybe some tart." As if on cue, a loud rumble sounded. "In the mood for anything in particular?"

That head of blonde hair was always so undeniable, even with her own hunger growing. We got hungry and need some food. I'm going to guess you have the same idea in mind?" she returned his smile, noting right away that his seemed tired.. like always now. "Why so tired looking? Is being a papa that difficult already?" Cue innocent giggles.It isn't that bad yet Logan, she was honestly LOVING it!
"Spectacular! Want to hold them?" With a grin she held the egg out to him. "As their uncle you should bond with them as well." He knew how families worked, they had a huge one. His comment had her giggling again and reaching out to give his stomach 'egg' an affectionate pat. "Well you're the one choosing to carry it around like that you goof." So nope, she wasn't feeling sorry for him in the slightest.
The mention of food though had this blonde glancing around. "Both sound good but so does brownies or maybe cookies? Or a sandwich?" Yeah, she had no idea what she wanted either. "Wanna have a little junk food picnic right here with me?" That was something he wouldn't turn down, right?
