 If it is your life's ambition to explore every nook and cranny of the school, then odds are you have made the long walk up one of the tallest towers of the castle and stumbled upon a door with no knob. On it is just a simple bronze eagle knocker. This may be a disappointment to some because all of that climbing had been for nothing. Ravenclaws, however, know that this door is very special because behind it is their very airy common room.
Anyone can, of course, approach the knocker and try to get in. After all, to get by you only need to provide an answer to one of its riddles. This will only cause more disappointment to the overconfident non-Ravenclaws who think they can break into the common room at any time. The riddles that the knocker is awaiting answers for aren't exactly easy. Those belonging in the house of Rowena Ravenclaw should be able to answer with ease. Regardless of who answers, if the answer is incorrect the door will not open and you'll be left standing outside until someone comes along with the right answer.

Something felt off, but Freddy was ignoring the obvious reason why. It was always better to be delusional anyway. So, bright and early - the gryffindor made his way over to the ravenclaw side to meet his little friend. He assumed they were friends now - since she had taken a liking to yap away in his presence. No matter if he was listening or not.
Maybe that was why he didn't need a reason to be here, ---- but still he had a bunch of unnecessary mail in his hand anyway as he waited around the bronze knocker for her to appear. He would have occupied himself somewhere else, but all that tutoring he had done for Fynley had him caught up with all his NEWTs studies -- that didn't mean he didn't have to study at all, he still did - but he was in a good place. He'd definitely not be freaking out like the many seventh years he had witnessed before him.
Speaking of his fellow students, he could notice a few stares as ravenclaws walked passed him. Checking his watch, the brunette made a little bit of a face - where was she?

If Aurora was ever late to anything it truly wasn’t intentional. She just had a habit of getting distracted by things, something she hadn’t noticed before, a group of people to talk to, something fluffy or furry or feathery. Hogwarts was full of distractions in every direction.
And those distractions seemed to be growing greater with every birthday that passed.
But that was a thought process for a later Rora, right now she was more concerned about getting to her seventh year friend (yes, she assumed everyone was her friend) before he got bored of waiting. Out the common room she stepped relieved that there wasn’t a riddle to answer on exit although there would be the challenge of getting back in later.
“Hi!” Her blonde waves bounced on her back as she joined the Gryffindor. “I’m not late am I? It’s just there was a really cute cat and I had to say hello.” He wasn’t scared of cats like he was scared of the owls was he? A fear of all animals would be TRAGIC.

She was not late, Freddy was just a little too eager for company. He may not admit it, but that was 100% the case. Shaking his head, he immediately straightened and gestured for her to walk, "I am surprised that cat isn't joining us right now" he said, smiling a little - something he realized he couldn't really help when she was around.
"I was wondering if you could help me with some mail again" He knew she would, but it was good to ask - also it gave them a chance to chat.
"of course, in return, I'd owe you a favour -- as always"

Aurora would not be one to tease Freddy if he did admit that he was eager for company. She was just the same, preferring the companionship of others over being on her lonesome. Being alone meant being left with her own convoluted thoughts and it wasn’t a good look to be caught talking to the suits of armour again. She too would’ve been eager for the meeting had it not been for her amazing ability to be distracted by anything and everything.
“I didn’t want to steal it!” she giggled. “Their owner might miss it terribly and the guilt would’ve eaten me up.” Even if it was for only a brief moment, she understood how attached others were with their pets. “But if I see them again, I’ll point them out to you.” Just in case Freddy wanted to meet the cute kitty too.
As for his mailing predicament, she was of course eager to help out. “Sure!” she beamed. “Are you sure that you don’t want to come with me though? I could introduce you to my Little Owl. Her name is Flora, like one of the fairies from Sleeping Beauty.” The Ravenclaw always forgot that others weren’t born to Muggleborns and would have no knowledge of certain films.

The teasing might not be taken well, or so Freddy liked to think. Walking ahead, though somehow trying to keep up with her pace - given his rather long legs, Freddy tried not to already roll his eyes, "I am not saying you should have stolen it, Aurora, you could have you know..." he shrugged, "taken it for a walk" No one would have suspected anything either, cats had a way of disappearing for their own entertainment anyway.
Speaking of entertainment, you know what was not entertaining? OWLS. Shaking his head already, Freddy quickly declined the invitation Aurora was so eagerly putting forth, "No, thank you"
"I can maybe accompany you to the last of the steps, but no further than that" And while he was well aware of muggle books, he had not read Sleeping Beauty - so that bit of information just got a small nod, like her eventual chatter got. "No matter how pretty you name them, Aurora, they are still not for me"

She was fairly certain that cats didn’t enjoy going for walks, not on a lead and a harness anyway. Cats liked to do their own thing and she respected their independence. She was more of a dog herself, needy and required company and constantly happy. “I’d be a terrible thief, I’d feel so guilty and want to give everything back”. She wouldn’t be able to get away with most things to be honest, her mouth would give herself away.
Her petite legs tried to keep up with Freddy’s long strides although she was quite used to walking fast by now and it had become the norm for keeping up with her taller friends. “That’s a shame. She’s very friendly, never pecked me or anything.” She wouldn’t push it though, fears were no fun.
“I didn’t name her because I thought it sounded pretty, although she IS very pretty. It’s from an old fairytale by the Brothers Grimm but they also made it into a Disney film which is a lot happier than the original and the three fairies were called Flora, Fauna and Merryweather. Mine and Anna’s Pygmy Puff is called Merryweather so I just need a Fauna.. Wait have you ever seen a film?” she asked, eyes widening at the thought that there were people who had never watched a muggle movie or used muggle technology before.
