Connected to the Armour Gallery, the Trophy Room is where all awards, trophies, cups, plates, shields, statues, and medals are put on display behind crystal glass. Dating back centuries are the numerous achievements that have been made by those who've walked within these walls. When the sunlight shines through the windows and hits the glass just right, the items and names within glimmer and shine oh so bright.
Hundreds of names can be read here, ranging from the great Harry Potter, teachers and ministers of the past, many of today's famous Quidditch players, and more. Carefully looking at all of the names on each individual nameplate, some of you just might even find your parents' names here. Feel free to admire and strive to get your name listed somewhere in this room before you graduate. Just don't press your fingers against the glass or think about having a late-night duel here. You will be sitting here every night for detention until each trophy and plaque in sight is polished to perfection if you do.

Ahh, the trophy room, a place that represented victory in many different ways. As Eliza ventured inside, she picture her name hanging up somewhere in this room one day. She'd like to be a prefect or the Head Girl. Something like that. She also pictured many, many House Cup and Quidditch Cup wins for Slytherin. Speaking of which, she wondered if the names of any of her family members were in here somewhere?
She headed over to the Slytherin section first, knowing most of her family members would be there if they'd won something. She smirked in pride when she came across her Aunt Sierra amongst the list of prefects. Oh, and there was Aunt Anna and Uncle Cale, too! Of course, the last two were Gryffindors, but they'd still been amazing in their own way.
Ugh. Hufflepuff had won more Quidditch Cups than any other house. How did that happen?! She had a feeling she could get lost in here for a while, reading all the names and who had accomplished what.

Brandon Fox wasn't sure exactly why he was here. He had been wandering again... He had never understood why his sister liked to wander so much until he got trapped in a mirror last year. Now, he found himself wandering too, during the long periods where he lost himself in his mind. He was thinking, and then he was thinking about life, and then he had ended up here after a while. 20 minutes, maybe.
He found himself drawn to the Ravenclaw section to look for a mention of Ashley Fox, but didn't see her name on anything. He wasn't surprised, as she never seemed like the type to be invested in winning awards or trophies. Brandon had no other magical family members, or at least none that he knew of. His father had never mentioned any family at all, and Brandon had never asked. IF he had magical ancestors, they didn't share a last name.
He wandered to the Hufflepuff section. His house. He was proud to be a Hufflepuff, and it made him smile to see the accomplishments of his house. While his name wasn't on any of the plaques, he had contributed to winning at least one house cup so far. He liked that.
The tallish, blond, and excessively neat-looking boy came to a stop at the quidditch section, admiring the many victories of Hufflepuff despite his dislike of flying. He nodded politely at a nearby younger year, who appeared to be a Slytherin and most likely a new student. "All of our houses are so impressive, aren't they?" While his expression was a bit intense and he wasn't smiling, Brandon was a friendly kid and didn't mind having conversations with younger years.

Eliza was oddly aware of someone else being in the room with her before she even saw him or heard him. There was a sense of disturbance in the silence, and as crazy at that sounded, she figured it was all thanks to the whole constant vigilance thing people were always talking about. Turning to face the newcomer, she discovered it was...uh...someone she didn't know. "All of them?" she answered, the words coming out her mouth as more of a question before she even realized it. She'd never really gotten too enthused about most of the other houses, mainly Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw.
Be nice. BE. NICE.
"Oh! Yeah!" she answered, looking back at the trophies. She wanted to point out how many Slytherin had, but Hufflepuff did look to have way more, so she decided to keep her mouth closed. "You're in Hufflepuff, right? See anybody's name you know?" He could be a Gryffindor. Or maybe a Ravenclaw. She'd know if he was a Slytherin. She wondered if they added awards here often, or was this room pretty much a thing of the past? "So what's Quidditch like nowadays?" Maybe he knew. Maybe he didn't.

Brandon tilted his head at the younger student, raising an eyebrow at her immediate response to his mostly rhetorical question. His natural suspiciousness wanted to interpret it as a purposeful dig, but he reminded himself that new students often had preferences for one house over the other. "Yes, all of them," he replied simply. "Though I pay the most attention to my own house's achievements, like most people do. See anything interesting in the Slytherin section?" He nodded, confirming her guess that he was a Hufflepuff, but shook his head when she asked about people that he knew. "My older sister was a Ravenclaw, but she had concerns bigger than trophies at that time. I don't have any other family who went here." He didn't have much family in general, really. There was his much-older half-sister, his much-younger half-brother, and his muggle stepmother. So it wasn't like the Foxes had come from an established line of great wizards, though his sister told him that their father's mother had been a squib from a wealthy pureblood family... nobody knew which one, so he couldn't look for their names here even if he wanted to. He did not. "I think I recognize some of my friends' families here. Possibly." It didn't feel quite the same. He sighed. "I'm Brandon Fox, by the way."
Brandon had complicated feelings about Quidditch. He could respect the passion, athleticism, and skill involved in quidditch. But the danger and risky behavior... He dragged his hand through his hair in an anxious matter. "I've heard that it's very exciting and that the teams are quite competitive this year. But as someone who wants to be a healer, all I can think about are the potential for injuries. I don't follow it very closely most of the time." He wasn't the best person to ask about sports, honestly.

A couple of thoughts immediately went through Eliza's mind, the first being that she probably shouldn't mention her family's absolute disappoint with Hufflepuff house. It was sort of a belief that ran pretty deep. She grew up believing that if she ever ended up in Hufflepuff, it'd be better to just go on back home. That had been the reason for her answer to his question. Her Aunt Sierra, and maybe her grandfather, would have voiced that opinion out loud, but Eliza was one who kept her thoughts to herself.
Luckily, he moved on to a different question which steered things in somewhat of an opposite direction. "Oh, umm, yeah. There's my Aunt Sierra. She was a Slytherin prefect. My Aunt Anna, too, except, she was a Gryffindor prefect and the Head Girl," she answered. "Maybe there are others, but I haven't really looked yet." She was curious about what had happened to his older sister to distract her from other things, but she decided to keep quiet about that, too.
"Oh, well, Healing interests me, too," she said. "My grandmother used to be the Potions professor here, and I think she made a good bit of potions for the Healer." She didn't think the position interested her enough to actual pursue a career in that field one day, but there were definitely some parts she could relate to! She kind of wondered what even brought him into the Trophy Room anyway. Maybe he was just wandering around or something.
