Hogwarts RPG Name: Wilber O. Winterbottom Hufflepuff | Spare Office ![](https://i.postimg.cc/0QnKY4ct/spare-office-banner10.jpg) If you happen to try one of the doors near the end of the sixth-floor corridor, you might just find yourself in a handsome (if not dusty and aged) office of a surprisingly large size. The faint smell of crystallized pineapple seems to linger in the air of the room, which contains numerous side doors and nooks and crannies. Unfortunately for you, all of them remain firmly locked so there is no telling what lies behind them.
Although the room is devoid of any office-like furniture, or any furniture at all, there is still an impressive, but faded, rug before the large fireplace and long mirror hanging over that to boot. The spare office is still a cool place to hang out, practice some wandwork, or do some light reading. Just don't linger here too long because the allegedly esteemed former person that resided here was only fond of certain guests, of whom were one of his favourites and were only welcome to visit him in this office only as long as they didn't ask prying questions about specific moments in his past.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Archie O'Brien Slytherin Third Year | Open Post!! ^-^ It was around midday; the weather was rather drab to a certain degree. While it wasn't necessarily dark and dreary, it had just snowed though so the grounds were still a winter wonderland. To which, that was something grand in and of itself, but for Archie, that was more of a fun view to behold instead of being in.
Hence why the Slytherin found himself slithering into one of the rooms on the sixth floor of Hogwarts. The room that he entered was basically empty save for the large fireplace, lone rug, and long mirror. Something about the entire space gave a small clue that it was an old office of some kind, perhaps? Although it was relatively large, the way everything was laid out within gave off that vibe. Not to mention, there was that rather...peculiar smell to say the least. Archie didn't mind it, but it was a far cry from being something like a run-of-the-mill room freshener. Such was the way of it though, given that it had seemed emptied and desolate for quite some time now. No matter though. It still seemed like a nice and cozy spot to just relax for a few in between classes, and read or something of the sort. The first thing which still needed to be resolved first though, was bringing some illumination to the dark room, but the O'Brien wasn't about to get a fire started. There wasn't any way he'd even get close to doing that. So, the third year would have to resort to using a different spell.
Taking a seated position, criss-cross on the rug, he'd set his backpack next to his right-hand side. From which, in one of the lone pockets at the top, being safely stowed away, he'd withdraw his wand alongside a book that was kept tucked away in the main area of the book bag. Simply, Archie would then say "Lumos!" while waving the wand in a manner similar to how the Omega symbol looked. It would then light up from one end, providing enough light to enshroud the area around him. After this was done, he'd tuck the wand into one of the bottle holders on the side of his bag to keep it propped up so that way he didn't have to hold it. Opening the fantasy novel, the young lad would start reading onwards.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Brandon Fox Hufflepuff Seventh Year Hogwarts RPG Name: Phoebe Calypso [s]Dupont[/s] Slytherin Fifth Year | Which came first, the phoenix or the flame? Brandon needed a place to be alone. Ostensibly because he wanted to practice spellwork, but mostly because he didn't feel like people-ing today. Chicken sandwich in hand, Brandon planned to finish up his lunch before practicing charms and protective spellwork. However, he stopped in his tracks and frowned when he entered this particular classroom. For one thing, it wasn't empty, although of course Archie had every right to be there. Far more upsettingly... mirror. But he did very much need to practice his spellwork.
Brandon supposed he'd just leave Archie to his reading and work on his charms in another area of the room. But there was no way he could focus with a mirror in the room. Not wanting to commit vandalism by transfiguring or destroying it, he conjured a blanket and stuck it to the wall, covering the mirror. Problem solved. He set his bag on the floor and sat down to finish his lunch, glancing a little over at the other boy to see what he was reading. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Archie O'Brien Slytherin Third Year | One moment, there he was. Casually just sitting there on the floor, in the dimly lit room. Then the next, there the other student was. Walking into the spare room temporarily illuminating it slightly more as the door into the lit hallway swung open. The Hufflepuff was someone that Archie had seen before but hadn't gotten the chance to talk to in the past. A fourth year, Brandon. Both of them were in a few classes with one another, and he seemed to be a nice dude. So not too much attention would be given to him immediately after he'd entered besides a small nod from the Slytherin. There was an eyebrow half raised however when he'd hear what sounded like a curtain being draped or a tapestry being hung coming from behind him. Turning around would reveal that the fourth year had thrown one over the mirror, which he found to be odd, to say the least. Buuut...it ultimately wouldn't be questioned. Besides, Archer was getting to a pretty good part in his book.
However, what couldn't really be ignored was what came after this little moment happened. Through the noises from both the turning of pages and the occasional munch munch of Brandon eating what was presumably his lunch, Archie couldn't help but catch out of the corner of his blue eyes; the Hufflepuff peering over in his direction. Judging from what he could tell, which wasn't much, it seemed to be the type of look out of curiosity and wonderment. The O'Brien would finish reading the paragraph he was on, and tilt his head to be facing that of the onlooker's own visage. "It's an older book, in case you were wondering. Written by a muggle author, well over 100 years ago at this point." And he'd tilt the book's cover so it would also flash in Brandon's direction. Whether he was familiar with it or not, was entirely unknown right now, but Archie found it fascinating. It was about Lords and rings and elves and dwarves. The second book of a main trilogy. Some would say, that technically it was a four-book series, but the Scottish teen considered the prequel book to be something in and of itself.
