For those who belong in Gryffindor House, on the left side of the Great Hall is where your table awaits. Red banners containing an embroidered golden lion float above the polished table in honour of the brave Godric Gryffindor. Already placed on the tables are silver plates with accompanying cutlery and goblets. All that is missing right now are the mountains of food and pitchers containing your favourite beverages.

Though your stomach might be growling as you take a seat on one of the long benches next to the table, it is important to not get hangry -- gnawing your arm away or jabbing your fork repeatedly on the surface of the table will do no good whatsoever. Give everyone some time to get settled in and wait for Headmaster Winterbottom to deliver his speech. Keep yourself preoccupied by catching up with your fellow housemates or those who are visiting from the other tables until it is time to sink your teeth into the hearty and delicious meal prepared by the house-elves.

Kion was here. It was a little hard for him to stay at the Gryffindor table for long when his girlfriend was sitting at a different table. But he also had friends who he liked to see, especially when summer was so soon. He could go sit with Maria soon so they could enjoy the rest of the feast.

Until then, here he sat. Waiting impatiently for the speech and food to arrive. He could use the distraction from thinking about how he'll have one more ending feast after this.

It seemed that as each year passed, the end of term feast was just harder and harder for her to attend. Saying goodbye was one of Vera's least favorite things. And honestly, there was a few that would be leaving this year that she knew she wasn't close enough too that she'd ever reach out to see them again - but they'd been such a welcome presence, people she could quietly look up to and admire, that she was going to miss them all. Especially the graduating lions. Next year, there wouldn't be any students older than her and her year mates and that was an unsettling feeling.

And THEN there was also the ones she did have relationships with. And while she knew she would make the effort to see them and that this wasn't goodbye FOREVER, it was still different because she wouldn't see them nearly as often. But for those, she had little gifts wrapped up in her bag with their names scrawled across the tags.

Keeping an eye out on both the Gryffindor tables occupants and the Slytherins, Ve slid into a seat across from Kion and gave him a wide grin. "Heyo, team mate. You ready for the upcoming Gobstones season?" At least there was something good about the end of the year. Well... somethings since she could also get more time with Papa, Raju and new not-so-little-little-brother.

The end of term was usually not a big deal for one Sable Ileana Armstrong. As far as she was concerned, things didn’t change much. Seeing as Vera and Vasco were usually an owl away, and she’d likely spend half the summer on her grandpa’s boat as usual. Worrying about the upcoming term wasn’t her usual style, but she’d been hit with a realization as soon as she’d woken up that morning and it had affected her all day.

Her gaze kept flitting over toward the Slytherin table even as she had walked over to the Gryffindor one, looking for a familiar dark head. It was taking more of her self-control than usual to not abandon her fellow Lions, but she also wasn’t voicing any of it. The sheer unknowing of it all was the worst, and she was torn as to if anyone would understand. It wasn’t just the chess lessons, although she was pretty sure she could nearly win in a match by now.

She was uncharacteristically quiet as she’d arrived at the Gryffindor table, but she’d still sent Kion a smile before dropping into the seat next to Bestie and laying her head on her shoulder. Mostly just to stop herself from looking at the other table yet again.

This was it. Maxine wanted to cry and laugh, and jump for joy all in one. She was so happy and sad all in the same moment. Her last end of term feast. She had done it. Finished her Hogwarts education. She was nervous for the future and what it would all hold for her. But yet so full excitment for it as well.

She looked down the table at so many familiar faces - and smiled on her time here.

The end of another year was upon them, and Logan was, as per usual, more than ready to enjoy the next couple months away from the castle. This summer in particular he had reason to be excited for: it was his first summer being of-age, and he would be getting that apparition license soon enough. He was practically going to be an entirely different person. Not really. Additionally, this also meant that his last year of school was coming up, but that, along with a certain set of exams, was something he was quite content in not thinking about.

But before any of the summer happenings could happen, a feast was to be enjoyed. The Gryffindor was more than ready for such an event as his tank was empty and the stomach was growling away. Despite knowing the food wouldn't be present on the table until the headmaster had said his speech, he still made an effort to be one of the first handful to arrive within the hall.

Eyes instantly spotting the girlfriend as well as Sable, Kion, and Maxine, the blond didn't wait a beat in sliding in the available place beside Vera and reaching for a hand. "How long we thinkin' it'll take for Winterbottom to get to his speech? Any bets?" he asked the group at large. He'd be getting to summer talk soon enough.

Kion smiled looking across at Vera, "Hey, you know it. I'm looking forward to us winning again like last year." Their team had a history of winning or at least getting 2nd place. "Any summer plans outside the team?" He asked.

They were also joined by more arrivals, "Hi Sable," He greeted as she sat by Vera, "Looking forward to summer?". As their table was filling up. It was a little saddening seeing one of their own have to leave from graduating. "Hi Maxine," He greeted. "..How are you?" He would ask about their summer but maybe they didn't want to think let alone talk about after Hogwarts yet. At least until he knew they were okay talking about it.

Kion bit back the urge to chuckle with the next question, "Hey Logan," The wait was excruciating on their hunger, "I'm giving ten minutes with a galleon," He forgot about bringing snacks this evening.

They hadn't had a chance to talk about it, and to be honest Vera probably wouldn't try unless Sia did first, but she could take a guess on what was perturbing her friend. So when Bestie slid into the spot next to her, brunette head automatically settled on top of the blond one as she linked their arms - giving Sia's a small comforting squeeze. She was certain her Captain knew that first mate was around if she needed a chat, but she'd remind her later too when they were settled for their last night in their dorm together for the term.

Seeing one of the graduating class joining them at the table, Ve turned her grin towards the girl and gave a wave with her currently free arm. "Hiii Maxine. Congratulations!" Based on the smile the older girl was wearing, Vera was guessing she was happy about the development of graduation - at least a little. So an energetic, happy response seemed appropriate. Just.... Hopefully she wasn't wrong. Although then again, if she was, the girl couldn't really be upset with her past this meal right??

A small head tilt on top of her friend's gave Vera the view of her favorite male lion sliding into the spot next to her, and she grinned widely at him as she slipped her free hand into his outstretched. Normally she would have kissed his cheek or some either slight PDA in greeting, but she'd spare everyone around them this time. "Judging by the body language of the Professor's, I'd wager he's currently giving them a customary Winterbottom joke and then he'll be ready. So... Count me in on a galleon, but I'm going with 5 minutes." Would Feirgrund be upset with them for this? She was hoping he was far enough away he'd never know. Besides... It was end of term, how could they be punished?

Attention turned back to Kion once more, her grin massive at the reminder of how well they'd been doing in the last few years. Her competitive nature was crushed at how abysmal Gryffindor's standing was in the house cup, but Gobstones more than made up for it. "Naturally! With us on the team, how could we do anything but?" She replied, her tone entirely taking on a bragging note. As for outside of Gobstones? "Family things mainly." There was a lot to catch up on in that regard at home, though she wouldn't bore everyone with the details. She was looking forward to seeing Papa and Raju though, and getting a chance to get to know Viano. "But plenty of friend time too! It'd be really fun to meet up with you and Maria at some point too!" She and Maria usually tried to find at least one moment of an excuse to go shopping or something. Ve had no plans of this year being any different.

Hands in pockets, school tie loosened, top shirt button undone, Charlie strolled into the Great Hall with little more than the impending summer on his mind. There was, after all, nothing else to concern himself with; the school year was behind them and so not worth his notice, his health had been relatively steady these last few months, and there weren't even any dramas currently keeping him entertained. He'd be fixing that in the coming days, probably.

First, though, the feast. Charlie took up a seat at the table that happened to be near a whole bunch of elderly citizens (read: sixth and seventh years), making sure that they blocked him, more or less, from the direct eye line of most of the staff members up on the dais. Not that he was exactly planning anything, but you know. In case the opportunity arose. It wasn't like he was perfectly shielded, but his habit was to stay partially concealed if possible and if appropriate for the context.

Not knowing any of those currently nearby Charlie didn't offer any kind of greeting. He just sat quietly, watching the hall, as he could see each of the house tables from where he sat. Maybe he'd see about meeting with Eli over the summer, maybe inviting him round; Charlie had never been keen on inviting anyone to the house, but with so many siblings, it was almost inevitable that it would happen sooner or later, or already had. Mostly, Charlie was itching to stretch his wings, as it were. After finally leaving the castle, he wasn't about to be cooped up in his village too. No. He intended to have some fun this summer.
