The small blonde everyone knew as Bryony had been here since shortly after the arrival of her bestest bestie Aryan. She had simply found herself a seat quietly beside him as she normally did, greeted the professor and everyone else around her with the normal finger wiggles and settled herself in. Quietly. Well.. as quietly as the Paton youngest could manage. That meant legs were swinging lightly beneath her desk as she went about setting up her things for the lesson. Bright blue eyes hadn't at all missed the large boxes beside each desk that just wouldn't MOVE! It was completely and utterly rude that not only could she not move it out of her way but she also had no clue what was inside. Why their professors always seemed to insist on doing things such as this was beyond her but it was sometimes a tad bit annoying. And she may very well have voiced that opinion had it not been for Professor Feirgrund starting the lesson. They would be learning the feather light charm? Awesome! Bry thought about what her fellow peers were saying and somehow it made her think of something her big brother constantly told her. "My brother always likes to say that I'M heavy.. but I'm not, right Ary? I'm not?" This had started off as a reply to their professor but somehow she had gotten very spun around in her head and now it was directed at the young boy sitting near her. He would know though, wouldn't he? What with all the times she had flung herself at him and all that fun stuff. Hand still in the air, her attention drifting back onto Feirgrund, "Can this charm be used on people, Professor?" This was important information and now she was curious. |
Emmie was just a tad dissapointed that they weren't going to be making any pumpkins fly in this particular lesson. She tried to perk up though since Prof Feirgrund promised her that something was going to be floating at least, and returned the finger wiggle from Ary before tuning in to what Professor Feirgrund was saying at the start of the lesson. What was too heavy for the average person to lift without the use of magic? Emmie contemplated her answer, and listened to all her peers suggestions, some were reasonable while others made her just want to roll her eyes at, but she didn't. Raising her own hand Emmie offered up the first thing that had come to her mind when the question had been asked in answer. "Professor, the whole hogwarts express train or even just a carriage of it is too heavy for human to lift without the use of magic." Unless Professor Feirgrund had wanted her to think about something more close to home then she'd say her school trunk without a doubt like Emma had said. |
Desiree acknowledged the professor’s nod with one of her own As she waited for the lesson to begin, she wondered if Halloween was Professor Ferigrund’s favorite holiday. For that matter, what was she going to be for Halloween this year? Probably something Disney-inspired as usual… though she could mix it up a bit with one of her favorite romantic heroines. She’d love to try her hand at sewing a Jane Eyre or Elizabeth Bennett dress, but wouldn’t those costumes look out of place without a Rochester or Darcy with her? Maybe she could dress her cat up… She was jerked out of her costume plans by Professor Feirgrund’s voice, and she focused her attention on him as the lesson started. Ooh, the Featherlight charm. Not the Unsticking charm like she’d originally guessed, but still useful. So they wouldn’t see what was inside the boxes until after practicing? Now she was more curious about the boxes than ever! She considered the question, envisioning the many objects that were too heavy to lift. Her thoughts immediately turned to large pieces of furniture, and she smiled to herself at the memory of her muggle grandfather struggling to move an armoire. She almost gave that answer, but Bryony’s question piqued her interest. If the spell could be used on people, that could be potentially useful in her future healer career. How else could the Featherlight charm be useful in healing? An idea occurred to her, and she raised her hand. “A large stone or boulder,” she said after being called on, “Say you were building something or trying to help an injured person or creature…” |
Now that interactions were over and class started, Yulietta felt a lot better. The less a threat to interact the more she could focus. She was able to understand what the professor and classmates were saying all thanks to the magical notebook her uncle Kennedy gave her. It would translate what was being said to Spanish so she could keep up. It was like those magical quills that wrote on their own while a person spoke. This had a similar function but with language. It was honestly one of the coolest magical things she's seen so far. A Feather-Light charm? That seemed like a useful charm, and her first thought was: a cow. Back home in Mexico her mom's husband had many farm animals and Yulietta sometimes helped with them. The pig was stubborn to move, but dangle some food in front of him and he'd follow. The cow was something else. She would not move even if it was raining and thundering. She only moved if and when she felt like it. Funny, Yulietta would sometimes wish she could magically move the cow during those tough confrontations. And now...haha. Of course, she didn't volunteer for fear of being laughed at, so she wrote it down on her neatly organized notes. As another student (Charlie) participated, she couldn't help the soft giggle that escaped her. She was quick to cover her mouth and keep her head down. Big head and big egos. Did the charm work on that? |
A1: SPOILER!!: replies xD "Alright, settle down, everyone," After the leftover tension was broken, Feirgrund used his wand to tap the blackboard a few times. Changing the previous written words into the following: Quote:
Now, with that information brought up, "The objective today is you'll be having the box next to your desk weight as light as a feather. You'll perform the Feather-light charm and then test with the levitation charm, Windgardium Leviosa." Feirgrund said. "But first, we will practice pronouncing the spell, Plumavis. You may repeat or mouth silently, ploo-mah-viss," Waiting until enough audibly spoke it. "Good, continue pronouncing it." "Next up is the wand movement," Feirgrund motioned his wand out, "It is the shape a tilde, or a small wave from left to right from your point of view," As he pointed his wand at the board to motion the direction drawn out. "If you also need a review on the Levitation charm, you may also practice doing so, Wingardium Leviosa. Win-Gar-Dee-Um. Leh-Vee-Oh-Sa, with the swish and flick wand movement." While enough students wouldn't likely need to review the levitation charm, it would prevent any from feeling too far behind just in case. OOC: Great responses everyone! Now you'll be practicing the wand movement and pronouncing the Feather-light charm. If needed, your character can also refresh with the Levitation charm since we'll be using both charms in at least 48 hours from now. If you have any questions feel to ask. ^_^ |
Ary’s gaze shifted to Archie when he mentioned muggle vehicles. The second year knew all about those, even if his collection of muggle vehicles were all toys! He rather did appreciate the beauty and sophistication of those muggle creations. A laugh was stifled at Charlie’s answer, though it quickly vanished because… Charlie wasn’t going to die, was he? He even gave the professor a pointed stare because hello. The man was also the Healer! Surely he could help the Gryffindor? That concern, in turn, was hijacked by Bry. Er… way to put him on the spot, Bryony. “You are,’’ he whispered honestly. “Remember that time I tried to catch you from the monkey bars? You nearly squashed me as flat as a pancake.” The second year was still grinning at his own sass to Bry as he made notes on the Feather Light Charm. “Practice with me, Bry?” he asked, determined more than ever to ensure he paid her as much attention as he did Drake so as to not offend her. And because… well, he never minded giving her attention and because he wanted hers as well. “Ploo - mAh - Viss. Ploo - mAh - Viss. Sorta easy, isn’t its?” Or maybe it was for him because Charms was one of those classes that came easily to him? “Plumavis. Plumavis. Plumavis.” |
Eliza blinked, realizing she'd been lost in thought. People were answering, but she didn't even know what the question had been. Oops. She was able to piece together that they were talking about heavy and light objects, which would explain the boxes around the room. She nodded along at some of the replies, which was the least she could do. She smirked as she pictured the Cressida kid running around trying to catch her flying books. She tuned in and out as the professor went on and on about the mass of each part of their insides. Was that something she needed to know? Probably not. Anyway, they were going to practice saying the incantation? "Plumavis," she repeated. The wand movement kind of seemed a little tougher. What in the name of Merlin was a tilde? Okay...it was a small wave. Let's just say that next time, hmm? She waved her wand from left to right. That was it, wasn't it? Then...seeing as she was only a first year...she practiced the Levitation Charm, too. "Wingardium Leviosa," she said, doing the whole swish and flick. The hard part would be remembering which was which then putting them all together. |
Yes, her pens were very cool! Thank you, Ary and Charlie. She giggled a little at the second boy's comment, but kept writing down her notes on the featherlight charm. She could laugh and take notes at the same time! Sooo. Plumavis, like feather. Not supposed to be for humans. Makes things light. Cressida Blume. Got it. "ploomahvis. ploo mah vis. plumavis." Phoebewas pretty sure she was doing the pronunciation correctly, but when she waved her wand around to test it out on her pen, nothing happened. She got quite annoyed before she realized that she was supposed to draw a sine wave tilde thingy in the air, instead of just waving her wand all wrong. Sighing, she attempted the charm again. "Plumavis." Her pen was all light now, not that it wasn’t to begin with. Woohoo! She did a little happy dance. Luckily, Pheebs already had the levitation charm down pat. She still practiced it, though. "Wingardium leviosa!" See? She still got it. She was the best at charms and she was amazing. Phoebe wanted to practice on the box! |
Vera had been entirely planning on offering up her brother as a suggestion for what was heavy that the average person (in this case, her) could not lift. But she'd been entirely derailed by the thought as Feirgrund had answered Bryony's question. It had spurred a whole rabbit trail of trying to think just how light she'd need Vasco in order to actually move him, for good old sibling prank purposes of course, and what other charms could be used to that end. And then of course WHAT pranks she wanted to pull that this would even be a necessary component. Needless to say, she was distracted and entirely forgot to actually offer a verbal answer. Oops. Pulling herself back to present as the charm of the day was introduced (and reintroduced in the form of the levitating charm), she grasped for her wand as they were released to practicing for the day. "Pluuuumavis. Plumaaavis. Plumavis." She practiced the incantation, drawing out the syllables in different spots just so she could hear the wrong way first. "Plumavis, plumavis." A couple more times correctly and she decided that was enough. Thankfully, this was not too difficult of a pronunciation. Though the idea of a.... tilde, had he called it? Sounded far more ominous. At least until she looked up at the board and realized she'd missed the Professor also compare the motion to that of a wave. Keeping silent this time around (and careful not to think the word because she was pretty sure there might have been something about her wand being good at nonverbals), Vera just practiced the motion over and over and over again. One last time too for good measure, before her attention then turned back to the box. How heavy was the contents?? Could they try lifting it first before feather weighting it? |
The feathers Mitsuki inked upon the back of her hand soon began to climb up over her wrist and she was beginning to make the awkward climb up her arm while her thoughts continued to wander about the Feather-light Charm. She seemed to recall something about it also being useful in duelling, perhaps a tactic her uncle had mentioned during his lessons at Himitsumahou, but the Ravenclaw had never given it much consideration since she did not give duelling much consideration. Being aggressive for sport had never been appealing, but if backed into a corner or those she cared about threatened...well, she had the disembodied memories to reference for evidence of her capabilities. "Plumavis," she repeated with mild disinterest with an even more casual mimicry of the wand movement with her wandless hand. Humming the incantation to the tune of her latest musical interest, her eyes drifted about the classroom when she saw the box of one of her peers floating up in the air certainly not of its own accord. Still, the girl hardly seemed to be aware of the occurrence and the actual weight of these boxes unknown, Mitsuki supposed she ought to take some initiative. "Fixate," she breathed out sternly with her wand pointing at the box so that it would remain in place. "It would be wise to remove yourself from beneath your box," she advised coolly. "Upon doing so, surely you can guide it back to the ground of your own volition." |
Hooper wasn’t exactly surprised that they weren’t going to be decorating the classroom, which was a shame really because he had a certain flair for decorating. With a small sigh, he pulled a bobble off of his wrist, pulled his hair up into a messy knot and sat forward a little straighter. Frowning a little, Hooper raised his hand, slightly confused as to why they were being asked to list heavy objects but quickly lowered it. The answer he was going to give the professor was no doubt going to get him in trouble so instead, he simply listened to the other answers, trying to not let his attention drift too much. It took him a moment or two to focus on the blackboard, but he managed to wrestle his mind away from the fun day dream he’d been having about swimming in the lake when the weather improved “Right you are, Professor,” his voice low and bored as he pulled out his wand and waved it lazily around to practise the levitating spell first. He most likely should have practised the feather-light charm first but truthfully, he just wasn’t feeling it today. Why he’d decided to practise a spell he knew he could do was for others to figure out, although he didn’t practise it for long. Watching his quill levitate above his desk was more than enough practice. “Plumavis” he mumbled, his eyes now on some of the other students around him. The first years seemed to be trying their best, bless them. Some of the older kids seemed to have the same idea as his too, practising the levitating spell. Nothing of interest there really though. Not until one of the seventh years decided to lecture another of the younger students. Hooper was far too disinterested for this, choosing to ignore any of the other students and their struggles. Instead, he continued to mumble the spell a few more times before turning his attention to the wand movement. Once was enough, right? “hEY, Professor, can we use the spell now? He wasn’t sure he could actually work the spell, but sitting around and practising the incantation and wand movement had never been one of his strengths. He’d always preferred to try and fail, over and over until he got it to work. |
Aurora didn’t particularly have a response to Feirgrund’s reasoning that old habits were stronger than ease. Truly the Ravenclaw much preferred the easier route, not because she was lazy but rather because if she could she would. It was exciting being a Witch after all. She had attended a Muggle primary school and all she could think about was how thrilled she would be if she could show those friends she had made what she could do with what was essentially a stick. Alas the Statute of Secrecy was still a ‘thing’ and she would have to keep her mouth firmly shut for now. With the mild commotion settled down and her fellow students now practicing their own spells, Aurora had to peel her attention away from watching Mitsuki doodle up her arm to the board at the front where the spell and wand movement had been written for those with the attention span of a gnat like her. “Plumavis” she spoke extra clear, her mind now wandering over to whether those with an accent found it harder to produce spells than those whose weren’t as strong. Like her Aunt Kat whose South London accent would change the way she pronounced words sometimes, dropping her T’s like in the way that others mimicked the ‘British’ accent. Did magic just understand that accents existed and it worked anyway? So focused on her mind ramblings was she (whilst absently tracing a little waves in the air with her wand) that she had completely omitted the chance to practice the Levitation Spell but what could possibly go wrong there? |
If there was one thing Bryony expected, it wasn't to be told that she was in fact heavy. Big wide blue eyes stared at Aryan in absolute stunned silence for once in her young life. She was NOT heavy. Did he even know what he was talking about about? That incident was a long time ago already and she hadn't hurt him. So excuse her for being quite the but confused right now and unable to think straight and form proper words. Just a whole lot of staring and blinking happening here. She wasn't even going to yell at him. Wasn't he lucky? Erm.. what was all that, that Professor Feirgrund had been saying? Thank Merlin for her that he had explained his answer quite clearly and well more than once as the lesson went on. While the charm itself didn't seem all that complicated, making someone feather light did! There was no way she had the skill level as a second year to accomplish that buuuuuut that didn't mean she wasn't going to figure out how it worked like the professor said and someday manage it! It was now oddly enough a goal for her and she gave the professor a understanding nod and smile. Someday she would be able to do it. As for when.. well.. that was the question. Today they wouldn't be needing to make anyone feather light. All she has to do was work on the wand movement and practice the incantation. That's it for right now. She could do that. And Ary wanted to work with her. Ary. He had called her heavy. She hadn't forgotten. And she didn't know how she felt about it. She knew he wasn't being mean, only honest in a way that Aryan can be. So could she really be angry with him? Upset? She didn't know. They were still going to work together though cause they always did, so cue this blondie nodding in his direction. "Kay.." Bry pulled out her wand to begin on the wand movement which was easy enough. Now as for the incantation... She had that all wrong from the start. |
This was why Ary usually was happy that he didn’t speak much. When one kept their mouth shut, they were obviously not going to say stupid things. He could clearly see the confusion of Bry’s face; it was highlighted by her blinks and strong stare. He felt himself retreating inwardly already because he felt idiotic and ashamed. “Sorry,’’ he mumbled. It was quite fine if she didn’t want to work with him. And it was definitely quite fine that she didn’t know about his feelings that were split evenly between her and Drake. The realisation just cemented his resolve to never let Bry know about that. He wouldn’t be able to stand her hurt and fury. “It’s okay if you… just wanna practice by yourself.” Ary suspected if they hadn’t been in class, Bry would have had a tantrum. And even though he told her she could work by herself if she wanted to, he was quite tempted to correct her pronunciation of the word. He kept his mouth firmly shut though, determined not to aggravate her further. Silently, he practiced the wand movement as Feirgrund had depicted on the board. It was traced out repeatedly until he got it right. It didn’t take him long to get it right so he just sat back in his seat, watching those around him. True, Ary could have worked on the Levitation Charm but his mood was still off somewhat. Besides, he had pretty much aced that Charm last term. |
"I think there's an anvil in each box," Zara whisper-spoke, leaning toward Aurora as they all got underway with the practicing bit. "Or an actual anchor, like from a pirate ship?" This professor seemed like he'd know what an anvil was. And an anchor. He seemed like the sort who had an anchor tattooed on his bicep, for some reason. Or an anchor on his ankle? She started twirling a bit of her hair round her wand as she thought, not at all practicing the wand movement yet. Zara usually learned these spells pretty easily though, some even on the first try. She wasn't worried. |
Archie would turn his head to look towards the direction of the student who further piggybacked off his answer, Aurora. It was a good question in response to it, and was very true. They were gifted with these abilities to do things which made difficult tasks rather mundane. Magic offered a huge shortcut in many fields. And, after hearing the Professor's own response to her question, the young Archer would add, silently but loud enough for her to hear, "Sometimes the non-magic way of doing things can be a bit of fun. It's like going on a mini adventure almost or trying something new." In other news though, it was good to see that the theoretical answer was still being appreciated and debated on. When it was time to do so, the Slytherin would jot down what was on the board within his notes. After doing so, from his bag he'd grab his wand, and begin to practice the new charm. Starting off with just the pronunciation, as this was typically the most difficult part about actually learning a new charm for the fair-skinned teen. "Plum-avis...whoops, no." Wrong emphasis. "Pluma-vis?" That sounded slightly better, so he'd put it all together. "Plumavis!" And it would at least be good enough to get the job done, at least in his opinion. The wand motion was easy to perform. Archie would do the tilde motion a few times though just to ensure he had it boiled down to a point where the motion was completely fluid through and through. As for the other spell mentioned, he didn't feel the need to currently practice that. That was an easy one that he had pretty much nearly perfected. |
Her own confusion was one thing but Ary’s response was quite another. It should be well known to everyone by now that Bry didn’t do well when she upset him. Whether it be intentional or not (let it also be known that she never intentionally did anything to upset that boy! Not unless she was simply messing about obviously). If there was anything she liked more than being upset herself, it was him being upset. ”It’s okay.. You were littles then.. But you’re not little no more. Maybe I won’t be so heavy now…” She could hope, right? But.. what if she was?! Huh?! What was he even talking about? Bry hadn’t said that. She wanted to practice with him. She did! They were partners in everything. At least in her head, they were. ”Why would I wants to do that?” There was the smallest tilt of her head as she looked at him again, her eyes showing even more confusion. What had she said that had given him the idea that she didn’t want to work together? Did he not want to work with her now because of how she reacted?! It hadn’t been her fault that she had been taken by surprise by his response. With each repeat of the incantation, the more Bryony seemed to be butchering it. And she knew it now as she focused on Ary and heard that what he was saying was not even close to what she was. How come he was correcting her like he normally would? Did she really upset him that much without meaning to? ”Ary, will you help me? I didn’t mean to make you sad.. “ Bry lowered her wand and opened her arms in typical Bryony fashion because there had to be a hug or something first, right? Hugs and then the perfect duo could rock these charms together! |
They were going to make the heavy box next to her desk feather light so that they could make the box float in the air. Emmie really wanted to achieve that since it sounded pretty cool, and nifty. Knowing her clumsy self though she hoped that she could avoid dropping the box when it was heavy on her toes or feet. Next up they were going to practice. Silently she began mouthing to herself "Ploo-mah-viss! Ploo-mah-viss!" several times to get the pronounciation in. Then Emmie practiced the wand movement dutifully several times, trying to get in the right wave from left to right by observing some of the other students, and trying to imitate how they did it. Satisfied, Emmie moved over to the second charm they were going to practice today that also could make objects fly in the air, but the incantation was much harder to prounouce in the right way. Mouthing it out loud to herself she practiced several times "Win-Gar-Dee-Um.Leh-Wee-Oh-Sa!" Then she tried practicing the swish, and flick movement which almost resulted in her jamming her wand into her desk but Emmie managed to avoid her wand going in pieces at the last second, thankfully. Could they try lifting the boxes now so she didn't accidentally make her wand burst in two? |
Ohhh… so humans’ internal organs complicated the use of the Featherlight Charm, but it was technically possible. That was interesting! Desiree listened with rapt attention, taking thorough notes on the Featherlight Charm’s use on humans. She finished writing, looking up just in time to catch the spell demonstration. Plumavis, with a wand movement resembling a tilde going left to right over the object… that seemed simple enough, but she still copied the information on the board, just in case. “Ploo - mAh - Viss,” she said firmly yet quietly to herself, so as not to disturb others with her practice. “Ploo - mAh - Viss, Plumavis, Plumavis…” That incantation was no problem at all! Confident in her pronunciation, she moved on to the wand movement. She brandished her wand, making the left to right tilde shape, repeating the movement a few times until it felt natural. Although Desiree was confident in her ability to cast the Levitation charm, she wasn’t one to turn down a chance to practice. More specifically, she was going to practice it nonverbally. What should she practice on? Her pen? No, too easy! She’d try her textbook instead. Wingardium Leviosa, she thought, focusing all her concentration on the book as she made the swish and flick wand movement. An instant later, the book hovered a few inches off her desk. |
Bry didn’t upset him; he was upset at himself for making the comment even though it had been made in light jest. That and the fact that he was dealing with some confusing stuff that he hadn’t spoken to anyone about. So right now he was just… overwhelmed. Still determined not to say anything that’ll hurt her feelings further, Ary simply nodded at her words. He was old enough to know that she was going to get heavier as she grew; nobody stayed the same while they stretched in height. Anyway. The boy shrugged, his gaze returning to Bry. If she needed his help, of course he’d be there for her. Wasn’t that always how it has been all their lives? Being bad at verbally expressing himself, Ary obviously couldn’t explain that he and Bry were okay, and it was just him who was extra silent because of his own thoughts and secret. What he could do to show her that they were was to assist her with that incantation. Because with each try she was making, poor Ary was wincing. “Not mad,’’ he said shortly. He shot their professor a look before giving Bry a quick hug. They were fine. See? “Ploo. Mah. Viss. More energy intos the ‘A’ in ‘mah’ and ‘V’ in ‘viss’.” Ary nodded. “Tries it.” |
A charm to make heavy objects lighter? That seemed like a particularly useful charm to Hope. She'd almost said 'a plough' when the teacher asked them to name a heavy object, but stopped herself just in time. A plough! Of all the stupid things to think of. No one else mentioned such a countrified object. She would have to watch herself if she didn't want to sound like a rube every time she opened her mouth. And there were plenty of distractions going on around the classroom at the moment--objects floating and people arguing and then making up. Hope tried to concentrate on learning this new charm that she'd decided she quite liked. "Plu-MA-vis!" Even the swervy wand movement was a pleasure. Hope did it again and again, almost hypnotized by her own wand. Wingardium Leviosa she'd learned long ago, so she didn't bother practicing that. |
Eliza absentmindedly fiddled with her wand in the grip of her hands. She looked around the room, unsure if she was even doing the right thing anymore. She'd gone over both charms, but she wasn't naive enough to believe it'd be a 'one and done' situation. Everybody else was still practicing the charms, so she decided to have another go at them herself. "Plumavis," she said again. Was this the swish and flick one? Noo... With a look of realization on her face, she waved her wand from left to right. That was it! She just couldn't hesitate next time. "Wingardium Leviosa!" she continued. Now that was the swish and flick one! Just as she reminded herself of that, she did those very same motions with her wand. Eliza sighed. She was getting bored just standing here by herself doing the same thing over and over again. She should probably make some sort of effort to be more sociable. Maybe. Not today, though. |
A2 SPOILER!!: Just checking.. Demonstrating himself with the box next to his desk, "Then to see if it works, Wingardium Leviosa, and it should rise incredibly fast into the air like a feather and descend slowly onto your desk." As Feirgrund demonstrated next with the swish and flick it went up halfway towards the ceiling before he allowed it to descend slowly. Now for the impeding question, "You might wonder, if the object is going to be so light why not just pick it up and see? It's more of a safety risk to prevent hurting yourself trying to lift something so heavy on your own. Since, on the first try the object may be lighter but still on the heavy side." And well, this was magic. "So it's another indicator on how successful your attempt on the charm is." Which hopefully took care of at least one question on the student's minds. "NEWT students, in sixth and seventh years, after being successful using it verbally, your main objective is to also work on it non-verbally." Now then, "At the ready, you're free give it a go." OOC: Thanks for your patience! Now you'll be using the Feather-light charm and then Wingardium Leviosa on the objects inside the box. The choice of what object your character has is up to you. You have at least 60 hours from now. If you have any questions feel to ask. ^_^ |
She hadn't known that. Truthfully, she should've. But for some unknown reason today, Bryony hadn't been thinking clearly and Ary's little bit of teasing had gone right over her head. There was also the simple fact of the matter that she had no clue at all what was happening inside his head, for if she did there may have very well been actual tears now. Yes, this was true but he was also getting taller and getting heavier soooooo... If he wasn't mad at her... then why was he being so quiet and off putting? Like seriously. This hug was just sad, Aryan. While Ary may have kept it quick, Bry honored that for him since they were in a lesson, she did however give him a gentle SQUISH! Sorry not sorry. She felt like he really really needed one right then. "Good, I don't likes it when you're mad at me." Had he ever really been mad at her in their young lives? Significantly mad. She didn't think so and she wanted it to remain that way. Uh-oh. Oops! Now she'd done it. Bry hadn't meant to go and get them reprimanded by Professor Feirgrund (not that they were really in trouble or anything!) but their chatter had gotten them both noticed. Yes, Professor. Everything is alright now, thank you. Sorry for talking too much." About things other than charms that is. "Sorry, Ary.." She would try to focus better now. All her attention was on what he was saying. More energy on the A and V. That was something she could do. Having lots of energy was her thing. “Ploo-mAh-Viss.. Ploo-mAh-Viss.." Big bright blue eyes stayed locked on him now. "I think I've gots it now. Is that right?" Over and over again she continued to repeat the incantation until it sounded like just another word falling from her lips. Then all she had to do was work on the wand movements and make sure she had those done. Much easier to do then the incantation if anyone asked her. This time when Feirgrund gave the next set of instructions, this blonde was all eyes and ears. She was ready! Sorta. If there was a prize waiting for her inside the box beside her desk she wanted to find out what was inside of it. "Ready, Ary? Do you want to go first or should we try together?" |
Later on he’d give her a proper hug. He knew the one he had given Bry wasn’t up to his standard but that was only because they were in class and had work to focus on. But Bryony must be really off today because Aryan could not remember a time he was mad at her. That much was all in her head; the silly girl {which he meant with the highest of affection}. When their professor appeared before them, Ary gave him an apologetic look. Sorry, professor, but he and Bry sorting out any misunderstandings as quickly as possible was something they usually did. But he bobbed his head, silently echoing Bry’s apology. “We’re okay,’’ Ary assured Bry. That was really meant. Then he faded away into the background, watching her and listening to her practice. Mostly he just stared at her face, fascinated with the intense look on her face as she concentrated. When she met his gaze, he smiled fondly at her. “Perfect. I knew you could do it.” Bry was going to ace the Charm, he just knew that too. Ary’s attention shifted back to Feirgrund, taking in all the information. Opening the box next to his desk and peering in. What a cute little prize! He was immediately smitten with the collectible.
