| | Slytherin Table For those who belong in Slytherin House, on the right side of the Great Hall is where your table awaits. Green banners containing an embroidered silver snake float above the polished table in honour of the cunning Salazar Slytherin. Already placed on the tables are silver plates with accompanying cutlery and goblets. All that is missing right now are the mountains of food and pitchers containing your favourite beverages.
Though your stomach might be growling as you take a seat on one of the long benches next to the table, it is important to not get hangry -- gnawing your arm away or jabbing your fork repeatedly on the surface of the table will do no good whatsoever. Give everyone some time to get settled in and wait for Headmaster Winterbottom to deliver his speech. Keep yourself preoccupied by catching up with your fellow housemates or those who are visiting from the other tables until it is time to sink your teeth into the hearty and delicious meal prepared by the house-elves.

| ~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. They had won the House Cup.
Slytherin had won!
Ary was extremely pleased about this. Along with that and the fact that he was heading home soon, he couldn’t help but feel doubly happy. Of course there were downfalls to be leaving Hogwarts, the main one being he was going to miss Bry and Drake a whole lot. But hey. There were positives to focus on, like seeing the griffs and dragons once more.
Ary arrived at the Slytherin table among the first of his House mates. No worries. This just meant he got to enjoy some peace before the inevitable babble filled the Hall. The boy instead looked towards the Staff table. Aunty Hady must be super pleased with Slytherin’s win. |

| Bathes in Maple Syrup | Dancing Lobster | Mrs. Charlie Weasley | Seneca's Beard | That's So Fetch Gilly had mixed feelings about the term coming to an end so soon. It felt like her first year had gone by in the blink of an eye, and she couldn't believe that it was nearly time to leave the castle behind for the summer. On the flip side, she was also ready to go home to see Mum, spend the summer with Drake going to their old stomping grounds, and bury her nose in books that more closely aligned to her interests.
One such book the curly-haired girl had brought down to the hall with her. While she was sure she'd be getting looks for wanting to read on the last night, she figured it would take a while for the speech to happen. Plus it was likely the conversations that would occur would be something she did not care to engage in. Knowledge was power, and a feast wasn't going to stop her from filling up her brain before she filled up her stomach.
It wasn't much of a surprise to see that she was one of the first to arrive at the table. The décor of the hall was not a surprise either, though she personally didn't care about house points or winning the cup. But, she had to admit, it was nice that Slytherin came out on top in her first year at Hogwarts.
"Hi, Aryan," she greeted the boy quietly, taking a spot beside him as she gently placed her book on the table.

| ~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. Gilly might not have been that interested in the House Cup but Ary was one hundred percent sure that she had contributed to the win more than once. He hadn’t immediately noticed her arrival since he was still focused on the Staff table but at the sound of her greeting, he turned to her. He knew he didn’t need to worry about his peace being disturbed immediately because Gilly too appreciated the quiet. “Hi, Gillyweed,’’ he replied somewhat cheekily since he used her full name as she had done to him. Ary fell silent, surveying the book on the table. Was Gilly going to read now as they waited for the speech? Maybe he’d sneak a read at a few paragraphs while she read.
It wasn’t too long after that the speech happened though. Ary happily joined in the applause; hey, the House had worked hard and they deserved all the applause! Naturally, the firstie also clapped for the graduating bunch. Too bad he wasn’t among the set since it would mean not having to be away from the creatures of home. Anyway.
It was time to eat, and believe it or not, Ary had a healthy appetite this evening. |

| Lovely™ | Captain Hurted | Ariana's Bane | Resident Antagonist | Unparalleled Delight Regulus was as quiet as he invariably seemed to be upon joining the Slytherin table for the End-of-Term Feast. On a personal note only, the year had been quiet, and he could not help but attribute that to his half-brother's absence. Regulus did not get regular updates from home, in that regard and most others, other than via Des if the mood happened to strike, but he thought he might have found out somehow, if anything had happened. Certainly, it was nothing he had had to deal with personally, this time.
So that was something, but now Regulus had his usual misgivings about home. It wasn't that he did not want to be there, or with Papà, more that his Papà almost definitely didn't want him around anymore. Or maybe he did. He was a difficult man to read - though Regulus thought he might be the one who could read him better than anyone else could - and the longer Regulus was away at Hogwarts, the more distance seemed to grow between them on a fundamental level.
Perhaps this summer, though, something would be different. Regulus did have things he needed to tell his father, so perhaps that would be the catalyst. If not, he'd just have to find or orchestrate another catalyst.
He was brooding again, Regulus realised, in that way he sometimes had of frowning and staring darkly across the room. As soon as he became aware of it, he smoothed out his expression, fixed a neutral look of polite almost-interest on his face and took a quick look around.
Nothing much was happening, but Regulus noticed one of the first years at the Slytherin table had brought a book with them to the feast. Taking that as a sort of cue, he pulled a book of his own out of the deep pockets of his robes, and lost himself in reading that for a while.
