Finally, after several years of hard work, the greenhouses have been returned to their former glory. Stop by when you have a spare moment and enjoy the plants.
OOC: Here's a basic guide of what you might find in each greenhouse; please remember to play realistically based on your character's age and skill level!

With her small pouch equipped to carry numerous phials and a set of tweezers, Mitsuki entered greenhouse one and paused just off to the side to tie her hair up in a messy bun. Of course, her microbangs were pulled up into the fray of messy hair piled atop her head and thus the sixth year spent a couple of moments carefully pulling them back out and flatten them with the palm of her hand. Slung over her other shoulder was the tote bag she had received from the National Performance Calligraphy Championships as has all the participants of the tournament containing her sketchbook, brushes, and some other essentials for the task at hand.
Deciding that magical flowers would prove too troublesome, she pivoted towards the mundane flowers and in particular hovered around the blue-violet petals of the flower beds hosting balloon flowers and cornflowers. Kneeling before the flowerbed, the Ravenclaw reached for her tweezers and began carefully separating the petals from the stem and inserting them into a phial held in her other hand.

And she loved spending time learning about them, how they could be used in potions, or healing medicines. She'd already started planning which ones she would incorporate when she had her own garden, one day in the distant future.
Today she wanted to take some cuttings from the mundane flowers, and look at cultivating a pot for her dorm room. Since the newly sorted Gryffindor fourth years had arrived she'd found it more overwhelming. Being surrounded by extroverted characters was... something, and she didn't know the new girls the way she knew Violeta. And maybe, having a plant to grow and look after might cheer her up. She even knew the perfect window to place it in.
Pulling on her gloves as she walked, she noticed the older student stood and was relieved to see that she was taking care with the plants, and not just ripping them up as some others might have. She didn't know her, but (perhaps bolstered by the confidence of the girls she lived with) the redhead managed enough courage to offer her a small smile. "Good morning."

Any imperfections in the petals caused a bit of a nibble from an insect or browning from inadequate watering were deemed inadequate for her needs and remained untouched. Ultimately such blemishes would not matter with the physical result but they would to her. She would know that there were imperfections and such thoughts would consume her. Much better to take the time to be extravagantly diligent now than unable to use the solutions later. Plucking the petals from several more stems, Mitsuki lifted the phial to her eyeline and titled it this way and that to admire the blue-violet color and the way it shifted from cool to warm coloring in the sunlight and began continuing her collecting when she heard the gentle voice of someone else joining her in the greenhouses.
"Good morning," the sixth year returned in kind, though her tone came with a much more melancholy undertone as her mouth filled with the sharp taste of cinnamon and clove. Mitsuki's hazel-green eyes rested on the girl for a couple more beats, no memory to speak of surfacing as to whether or not she ought to be familiar with her, before her attention returned again to the petals and added several more to the phial to the point that it was now difficult to cork it.

Betony stood back, surveying the plants available and trying to determine which one she would take a cutting of. Even as she reached out to gently touch the leaves of some of the ones she was considering, she found her eyes drawn to the other girl, and the care she was taking in choosing which petals to take. Given that she didn't know of any potion that required those leaves (which, of course, wasn't necessarily saying much given she was only a fourth year), the redhead found herself curious.
Curious enough, apparently, to ask. "What is it you'll be using them for?" She nodded her head towards the petals, as though it wasn't obvious.

Tweezers in hand and phial held up so close to the tip of her nose that her eyes nearly crossed, Mitsuki gingerly pushed in one final petal and took extreme care not press too hard and damage it. The cork was soft enough that she was less concerned with damaging it as she gently pushed it in with her thumb. She would be wanting a few more phials of these petals before moving on, she decided, and set the now corked phial into her bag before retrieving an empty one to continue her collecting. Though she did also want to collect some red petals before concluding her efforts today.
Turning her attention towards the girl, Mitsuki uncorked her second phial while she answered. "For the creation of my own watercolor paints."

Watercolour paints. Betony's eyes widened ever so slightly, in wonder and surprise. Of course, she knew that plants could be used for such purposes, but she'd never really considered it beyond that brief knowledge, given her interest tended more towards plants as ingredients in food, medicine and potions. That didn't make it any less interesting, though, especially when she was watching the meticulous hand of the older girl.
"Wow. That's pretty..." she paused briefly, tugging on the end of one of her braids as she thought of the phrase. "Dedicated. Do you prefer to use your own paints?" Assuming that the girl was a painter, of course.

The corners of Mitsuki's lips twitched ever so slightly to hint at a smile, her curiosity being described as dedicated tickled her subdude hubris in surprisingly pleasant way. It was also a rather unfortunate curiosity in that it was a process that consumed her thoughts these days so even when they were meant to be harvesting ingredients for a Healers of Tomorrow meeting, the Ravenclaw was collecting for her own painting desires. Such was the way her fixations manifested. Her interests in ink making were slowly tricking into other creative outlets as well and she had recently checked out a book that included descriptions of lampworking.
"Not particularly," she replied as she resumed plucking petals from another flower and adding it to the mostly empty phial. "Mostly I find the process of creating paints and ink from flora to be meditative."
