Third-Floor Corridor https://i.postimg.cc/CLf9zpvs/corridor-banner5.jpg A central floor to the school, the third-floor corridor is a relatively easy to navigate and contains your basic necessities. On this level of the school, the Charms classroom, the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom and the Hospital Wing can be found. Additionally, you will find the pristine Armour Gallery, the Trophy Room, and a passageway to the more popular places on the grounds. But that doesn't mean there aren't a few peculiarities to be found in this part of the castle. |
for Ywan Sophia was all sorts of turned around. She was fairly certain she'd passed the Trophy Room about four times, but all the doors to the classrooms looked the same, and the portraits all looked...pretty much the same. Or was she just passing the same one over and over? It was a good thing she was done with classes for the day, but somehow she'd made a wrong turn on the way back downstairs... When the fifth pass by the Trophy Room didn't turn up anything familiar (well...it was familiar from the last four times), the first year gave up. Sighing loudly, she dropped her bag of books on the floor and sat down cross-legged. Maybe she'd do some homework and hope someone came this way? Yeah. Homework. She pulled out her wand, intending to practice one of the charms they'd learned that week. Erm. Now if only she could remember the incantation... |

In fact how did he even get to this spot on the Third Floor. Most of what he was using as the given landmarks were what he only assumed were what he had to keep an eye out for so not to get lost. He scratched his temple and pondered for a moment more before continuing down the corridor. He stopped once more dead in his tracks when he heard something thud loudly onto the stone floor. He ducked behind a suit of armor and peeked around it to see a girl on the floor a little further down the hall. Thank Goodness. It wasn't anything dangerous. He hopped out from behind the suit or armor and scurried over to her. "uh um...Hi" The Hufflepuff looked down at her and waved at them awkwardly. "Do you know where the Trophy Room is?" Hopefully she had seen it. She looked about his age, but maybe she was smarter than he was and knew her way around the castle a little better than him by this point. |

She pointed back the way he came with her left hand. Then, with her right hand, pointed the other way. "Go either way. You'll find it," she said in a flat voice. There was nowhere to go but the trophy room. The trophy room, and the trophy room, and she just wanted to find some stairs and go down them (and then maybe a snack). She sniffed a little, but kept up her brave face. "Do you know where the stairs are?" she asked. Maybe he'd come from the stairs. |

He heard her sniffle and Ewy recognized that kind of sniffle. Was she crying? What does he do when there is a girl crying?! Usually if it was Mama he'd hug her, but this was girl his age. Do you Hug them the same way to make them stop? ...The stairs? "Um...well definitely back that way, from where I came." He was silent a moment and scratched at his cheek thinking a bit longer. "I-if we go together. I'm sure we can find it." Ewy said trying to be reassuring. |

She was sniffling, but it was not crying. No tears here (yet). She got up from the ground, though. His idea...it was a good idea. "I can show you the Trophy Room first," she volunteered. Sticking together. It was an excellent plan, and having a plan made her feel less lost already. "Why are you going there?" |

"That'd be great, thanks." So he'll remember where the room was exactly then come right back after showing her the stairs. He started down that way and turned his head to see if she was following behind him, also to answer her question. "Oh...um." He paused thinking about his predicament. "My Papa is a wizard, like me." He said unsure of it himself still. "Mama always only says super cool things about him, but we thought he was" ...he paused once more thinking of the word "muggle." He grinned having remember the word for non-magical folk. "So if he is a Wizard then he had to have been a pretty awesome student and got lots of Trophies for the School." |
For Liam/Summer Was it weird to have a favorite floor at Hogwarts? Weird or not, Desiree’s was definitely this one! And what was there not to like about the third floor? It had the trophy room and the armor gallery, which reminded her a lot of the fairytales she grew up reading, and the furniture store room - that was always fun! Best of all, this was the floor her dad taught on when he was here. Every time she set foot in the charms corridor, she wondered what it looked like when her dad was in charge. Knowing him, probably lots of black and model cars everywhere! Between her interest in charms and joining the Healers of Tomorrow this term, Desiree was spending even more time on this floor than ever. And she was totally fine with that! She wandered down the corridor, her charms textbook tucked under her arm. Along the way, she paused to admire the portraits. She had a little extra time on her hands today, so why not? |

"Ewy?" Sophia repeated. She wondered why he was called that. It wasn't any shorter than Ywan. "I'm Sophia," she said. "You can call me Sophie or Soph, I guess." She smiled a bit. She was feeling much better now that she had a plan, and wasn't wandering the corridors alone, both thanks to Ewy. So they were going to the Trophy Room then. Sophia hoisted her bag over her shoulder and began walking towards the room. Slowly, so they could remember the way to get back to here, and eventually the stairs. She frowned at his statement, but didn't contradict him. Maybe his dad did have his name on a trophy or two. She thought it unlikely, though. There were lots of Hogwarts students, and they couldn't all have their names on trophies. "What's his name? I could help you look," she offered. That way, she could postpone having to find her way back to the common room alone. |

She had come to a stop on the third floor, she thought about continuing onto the fourth floor but something had caught her eyes, was that Desiree over there, she moved forward a little bit trying to decide. "Desiree!" Summer waved as she rushed over to her friend, she was excited, it was so much more fun when she hung out with Desiree. "How are you?" Summer was jumping up and down with joy. |

He kept Sophie's pace as they walked back toward the trophy room. Also focusing on the path ahead because there was a split to the corridor beyond that. So they would need to choose to go either left or right there. Maybe a circle was not what this hallways formed. The two fo them would get to that point when they got there though. "My Papa's name is Jonathan Johnsmeyer." Ewy was confident that his Papa would have his name one at least ONE trophy, two tops. It would be a pleasant surprise if he found his name on four or five. Because of course Papa was described to be incredible. "We should check the Squidditch Trophies first. I bet he was a star player. One of the Watchers." He spoke those words as if he knew exactly what he was referring to after only have heard about the sport from Mama's Boyfriend and overhearing it a few times from other students. |

She made a mental note of his father's name. Finding his name wouldn't be easy, she thought there would be a lot of trophies to check. Maybe if he knew when his father had gone to Hogwarts, that would be easier. Though she wasn't even sure if the trophies were organized by date. "Squidditch? Do you mean Quidditch?" she asked, trying to make sense of what he was saying. And what was a Watcher supposed to be? She looked around as they walked. This was looking familiar, so they had probably gone the correct direction to the trophy room. |

Wow, someone was excited! And Desiree couldn’t blame her. It was exciting to run into each other, as it didn’t happen often. That was the downside of being in different houses, she supposed. “I’m good, just on my way to do some charms research,” she replied, gesturing toward her textbook. She had some biiiiig shoes to fill when it came to that subject! “What have you been up to? Feels like I haven’t seen you in forever!” |
Quote:
"That sounds awesome!" Summer was more into the muggle study subject and more into the herbology, but she knew her friend would have fun searching for different charms in a book. "Oh I've not been up-to much, had a midnight feast in the dorm at the start of term but other than that I'm just trying to figure out what to do." Summer sighed, "Hey maybe you can do something with me." Summer continued to jump up and down. |

While Desiree had her Hufflepuff friends and her extracurriculars to keep her happy, she still missed Summer. Her face brightened at the mention of doing something together, and she couldn’t resist an excited wiggle or two. “Sure!” she exclaimed. “What do you want to do?” She was on her way to the charms research area anyway; maybe Summer would want to come with and invent a new spell together. Or something else worked too! |

"Sure!” she replied, her smile growing. “Maybe we can invent a new spell together.” She’d learned from her dad that inventing spells was hard, but still, how cool would that be? “If you could invent any spell, what would it do?” |
