kath :3 Freddie was here, but not alone for sure. He had his bestie by his side of course with one of their favorite spaces to hang out this year. Not only for the location choice but all the gadgets that were left for them to play. "Not quite the summoner's court, is it?" Freddie grinned. This wasn't their first time in here, but the time spent between then spoke for itself. |
The Muggle Studies area had morphed quite a bit over the course of his seven terms here at Hogwarts and the arrival of Professor Feirgrund had signaled a space most like home...which was both comforting and unnerving depending on what mood the Gryffindor was in. Today it was a little of both but regardless of his mood he was never not embarrassed by how many of these vintage characters he recognized despite doing everything he could to tune out his dad and the man's interests. Like Qbert. The man probably spoke whatever language that character spoke too. Embarrassing, honestly. Atlas wasn't much of a gamer and he wasn't in the mood for button mashing today either, but he also wasn't really sure what exactly he was in the mood for and felt a little all over the place. "If you are looking for another whooping, there is probably some artefact over there that in the muggle experience of it," he teased Freddie with a nod of his head over towards all the game cartridges before giving his mate a sort of playful shove on the arm. Atlas, on the other hand, found himself wandering towards the stairwell to the loft. |

Freddie hadn't been much of a gamer before this school term began, as the new set of gadgets got him curious to invest even more so. Plus, being a tester with his business partner and friend helped as well. Laughing as he was playfully shoved, "Right, maybe next time you won't have to let me win at it," The air hockey table looked mighty tempting to play again, as well as looking to see where Atlas was heading up to. "You want to try that record player again?" Freddie asked on their imaginary tail. |
His shoulders tightened for a half a second and his pride flashed before his eyes during said second. On the one hand, Atlas had too much of it to ever lose on purpose. Freddie had also opened the door to spare his pride a bit, publicly at least, because...yeah...sure. That had been it exactly. Atlas had not lost their last button smashing afternoon and he certainly had not been trying to win and therefore had not needed to reign in his sore loser attitude. It had aaaaaaaaall been according to plan and he had just been charitable in letting Freddie see how it felt to come out on top. Yes. Exactly. "I mean..." he replied coyly with entirely too much emphasis on some wannabe swagger he now added to his elongated stride and shoulder shrugs. Ascending the stairs and being careful this time not to trip over his own feet (growth spurts were wild like that), Atlas reached the loft first and moved over to take a peek at the archaic CD and cassette tape collections without really looking for anything in particular before moving over to the vinyls that always had more of an aesthetic appeal to the others. "Yeah...pretty sure it will work this time too," he nodded. It better. He had only scavenged for parts to make the necessary repairs. "...hey..." he mumbled after blowing a bit of dust off the cover of the vinyl record in his hand. "...is this...one of the albums they used for the Hogwarts in its Elements dance?" A slightly rhetorical question seeing as he had labored for hours to sync up the lighting to the music, beat for beat. But it all had sort of blended together into one massive cacophony. |
