| | |  Slytherin Table
 For those who belong in Slytherin House, on the right side of the Great Hall is where your table awaits. Green banners containing an embroidered silver snake float above the polished table in honour of the cunning Salazar Slytherin. Already placed on the tables are silver plates with accompanying cutlery and goblets. All that is missing right now are the mountains of food and pitchers containing your favourite beverages.
Though your stomach might be growling as you take a seat on one of the long benches next to the table, it is important to not get hangry -- gnawing your arm away or jabbing your fork repeatedly on the surface of the table will do no good whatsoever. Give everyone some time to get settled in and wait for Headmaster Winterbottom to deliver his speech. Keep yourself preoccupied by catching up with your fellow housemates or those who are visiting from the other tables until it is time to sink your teeth into the hearty and delicious meal prepared by the house-elves.

Finally, it was the end of term. After a hectic and stressful few weeks of OWL exams, Lydia was more than ready for the summer holidays. Of course there were still the results from those exams that would be coming at some point...but she was trying to ignore that and just focus on being free from school for awhile.
Apparently her excitement for the summer led her to being early to the Slytherin table, but that was fine. More people would be joining soon enough. With a dramatic sigh, she took a seat to wait, fingers tapping idly to a song stuck in her head.

Bella wiped away some tears from her eyes after writing her passage in the memory book. Writing that for history had felt very definite and scary. Tomorrow she'd be a Hogwarts graduate that was going to go off to university in the fall to study something that she still didn't know what it was. Healer specializing in creatures sounded like a dream or maybe auror or something.
Slowly the darkhaired snakette headed over to sit down at the snake table being relieved to see that only one other girl had beaten her to the table. Good, Bella wasn't going to get peppered with questions about graduation. Plastering on a smile as she slipped down on a seat opposite the slightly younger girl Bella greeted "Hi Lydia! Have you got any summer plans?"

Though he wouldn't have said the year had flown by, the end of term almost seemed to have crept up on Regulus. He was ready to return home, had everything packed and triple checked, and had even made a list of what he might expect from the second year curriculum from a Ravenclaw he had kind of sort of befriended. There was nevertheless a vague feeling he couldn't quite shake that there was something important he'd forgotten to do, but he'd learned to ignore it.
Arriving at the Slytherin table, Regulus deposited himself somewhere near to the middle, where many tended to congregate, but kept himself to himself for the moment. Just taking the measure of things around the Hall, and at each table, though the Ravenclaw table in particular.
His eyes fell briefly on his half-brother, and flitted away again. In September, he would be joined by even more of his relatives, these ones closer in age, who had been more familiar to him before he'd joined Hogwarts than the others had been. It was strange, trying to imagine any of them here, now that he was more familiar with the castle and its grounds.

It would seem that the term had been relatively quiet, but that didn't make much of a difference for the fourth year as he blindly made his way to their table, his nose buried in a notebook reading his wizarding chess notes for the nth time. It was, after all, that time of the year for him when he shifts from being a student to Mackenzie the wizarding chess player. Tuning out the noise from all the chatter, the Slytherin chewed on his lip as he went over his scribbles, notes, and most importantly, master stroke moves from former Headmaster Walter Aragon, and Headmaster Brian Gagwilde. Noah had been right... the Portraits were helpful.
Speaking of Headmasters, their own had risen from his throne and onto the dais to give his end-of-term speech. Nothing noteworthy as far as Mackenzie could tell, and he was definitely not one to feel sad or melancholic over the graduating students. It's not as if their worlds were ending after Hogwarts.
As soon as the food arrived, Mackenzie tucked away his notes and began to eat. He didn't plan on staying long to party and mingle, just take his own fill of sustenance for the night, and perhaps have a last-minute conversation with the chess masters' portraits again before turning in for the night.
