| | Kitchen Once you've tickled the pear and turned the knob, the Hogwarts kitchen will be revealed to you. Located directly beneath the Great Hall, the kitchen is a high-ceilinged room with five identical tables to the ones in the dining room above. Unlike the room situated above however, heaped around the walls are large quantities of pots and pans. On one end of the room are shelves of plates and utensils, stoves, sinks, and a large brick fireplace.
Here numerous house-elves are working on the castle's next meal when they aren't tending to their other duties as employees of the school. The team of house-elves have specific assignments to accomplish inside the kitchen, whether it is to cook, wash the plates and cutlery, keep the pantry stocked, place more wood into the fire, or set the tables before everything is summoned to its exact replicas overhead. Though the house-elves are incredibly busy, they will surely serve you a snack ... if you aren't asking Algamus. Or you can, of course, make your own food. Just don't leave a mess behind! OOC: Please do not role-play for the House-Elves.

Curiosities of that nature would likely lead one to assume that he was up to something, which he typically was to be perfectly honest. "Well, go right ahead and ask and then report back to me."
Had food not been there to keep him from yawning, the Gryffindor certainly would have yawned at the very moment Keighley brought up studying for OWLs. Just hearing about it was boring enough, and he was relieved that he didn't have to worry about that for a couple more years. But what was significantly more interesting was the mention of Liv and Charlie. "And how's all of that going, hmm?" He had ... reasons ... to be intrigued with how relationship things worked.
With another sandwich making its way to his stomach, Logan reached for what had to have been his third or maybe fourth by now. He supposed his cousin was right about the elf being used to addressing people in such a manner, though... "Should they even be calling us Missus and Master? We're not technically their masters, yeah?" He was positive that they were employed by the school, not owned, so the whole master thing didn't make much sense to him. "Nope. If I go and ask her by myself then I'm telling you nothing," Keighley replied cheekily. "It's not my fault you're a chicken and won't talk to your own mum." Oh, yes, she was messing with him big time. Sometimes as an older cousin it was fun to be playful and tease them.
Hey now, it wasn't her fault that she had to sit for OWLs this year. Her tactic was to pace herself so she didn't get overwhelmed when the end of term came. Another bite or two of her sandwich was taken along with a deep sip of her hot cocoa. "Good. Real good. We're all very happy." Olivia and her were happy. Charlie and her were happy. As long as they were separate, things were great. And she was good to chat about it if he liked.
"I really don't know. Maybe? They do sort of do things for us so perhaps in a small sense they work for us in a way as well." She supposed it all really depended on how one looked at it.

The eyebrow that had risen before was back to its usual position on his face. In fact, now his expression was deadpan, Keighley's response causing him to stop in the middle of all the chewing he was doing. Of course, he had a hunch that she was just teasing him; nevertheless, he felt that sort of response was uncalled for. He, Logan Roderik Paton, a chicken? PUH-LEASE. He wasn't afraid of much anything.
Even though he was genuinely interested in Undetectable Extension Charms for a myriad of reasons, he let that topic of conversation fade away and busied himself with a piece of garlic bread. The thirteen-year-old was more interested in their latest discussion anyway, which the boy had many questions to ask but simply not enough time with another class looming (which he was 100% pretending wasn't a thing). "It seems like a lot of work," he commented to invite her to elaborate as he finished off the garlic bread. How to ask someone out, dating, snogging - they were all foreign concepts that he was curious about.
Logan considered her words about the elves sort of working for them because they worked for the school. It made sense in a way, but at the same time it did not. Perhaps he'd ask Toddles about it the next time he was in the kitchens (probably in a few hours, honestly). "I'spose," he replied with a shrug, wondering if he had enough room in his stomach to devour another sandwich.
