Default Wooden Bridge

A covered bridge of questionable construction that connects the courtyard to the rest of the grounds, this rickety bridge has been damaged and repaired many times over, the most recent major incident being its total collapse during the battle at Hogwarts in 2104. The structure was ultimately brought down by fire and duel, an incident which was not without casualties.

Since then, the wooden bridge has been restored, and is back to its former... glory. Although it still looks like it may fall apart again and send anyone standing on it into the ravine below again, it probably won't. Not so soon, at any rate. Still, any exceptionally loud creaking should be reported to the groundskeeper, just in case.

This long and narrow bridge has a rich history attached to it, and deserves your respect. On your way between the grounds and the castle, why not stop and admire the view for a moment?

In the few weeks since her arrival at Hogwarts, Geode had done her fair share of exploring. She still kept coming back to this sketch-tastic bridge. There was just something relaxing about staring out into the ravine. Plus, people had definitely died here. She'd already spent an afternoon re-reading The Secret History at the bridge for the ambience, and it had been awesome. She'd written home to Ma about it, and received a fonder than usual response.

A thick fog fell over the ravine like a damp quilt, and even bundled up as she was Geode still had to sniffle to keep snot from running down into her mouth. She stood leaning (an act of trust that maybe the bridge hadn't earned) over the railing and absentmindedly cast Wingardium Leviosa on dead leaves down below with varying success. Just having a nice void stare, that's all.

In the few short weeks since the term had began, Vasco had decided that he both liked it here and disliked it. There was plently of hiding spot both inside and outside of the castle for those moments when he really needed to be on his own. Away from Vera. Definite upside for sure. But then that also meant this could go the other way around too and well sometimes he wanted to be around his loud, annoying, pain in the tush twin sister.

Not today though. He was having one of his 'I need a Vera free minute' moments and was hoping it would last. Please, please let it last for a little while. His head was still hurting from her shouts during breakfast that morning. Shoving his hands deeper into his pockets, he made his way slowly onto the bridge.
