Such plans Aria had for her summer!

The girl could hardly wait to be on the train home. Back to her beloved fathers. Back to Posh and Sassy Fashion Studios where she would be working under the stern but capable Anita Sandhu? Or was it going to be Anita Aguilar soon? As far as Aria was concerned, her mentor might as well marry Camilo soon - those two were sooo in love that sometimes their PDA made this aromatic nauseous. ANYWAY! Summer! YES.

If only she could leave this instant! But right now... the Feast! The fifth year cast her glance around as she took a seat. There were certain people she was looking to avoid, you see.

Was it already the end of the school year? Maya didn’t really remember anything that didn’t involve a textbook. Now that the OWLs were finished, she felt a ginormous weight being lifted off her shoulders. She hadn’t realized how much studying for it - or rather over studying for it - had consumed all of her time. After the exams had been over, she had slept for an entire day, finally at ease.

Though if she were honest, saying she didn’t remember anything was a lie. She remembered the dance well. It wasn’t exactly easy to forget considering a sphinx had shown up out of nowhere. Now, the fifth year was just looking forward to going home and spending time with her family.

With a relaxed smile on her face and an extra pep in her step, Maya walked over to the Slytherin table and gave a slight wave to her housemate, Aria. ”Hello Aria, ready to go home?” she asked, taking a seat across from her. She felt rather uncharacteristically talkative now that the year was coming to an end.

Violet wandered through the Great Hall slowly, lost in thought, not even remembering to stop at the Ravenclaw Table to look for Ashley or any of her other friends. She arrived at the Slytherin table and, without even looking at who was there, took a seat a few places down from Maya. There she sat, looking intently at a letter she was holding in her hand and not really paying attention to anything going on around her at this, her long-anticipated final Closing Feast at Hogwarts.

Aria spied her dormmate almost immediately. What was also noticed at the same time? That spring in Maya’s steps. Aria bet she knew what was going through the other girl’s mind: that she was free to enjoy her summer! How did she know this? Because Aria felt the same way! DUUUH! “Heeey, Maya! You bet I am! I have quite a bit to focus on.’’ At that moment, the person the fifth year wanted to avoid the most arrived. She watched Violet, who seemed focused on a letter held in her hands but not that focused on it that she couldn’t take a seat at the table. Aria’s eyes narrowed slightly. No doubt the soon-to-be-graduate was looking to grab Caes’ attention as usual. Not that Aria cared she did but she hadn’t said anything about it since the Art Room happening and didn’t plan to again. Clearly Caes adored his beloved Violet - the brother thief - more than he did Aria and winded up spending all that time with Violet. So… yeah. Aria had made up her mind to spend as much time away from home as possible to avoid her brother. Then again, who knew what plans those two made so that they could keep seeing each other over the summer so he just might be the one out of the house constantly.

The girl wouldn’t think about that now. Her attention reverted to Maya. “I’m hoping to have some of my designs on display at a fashion studio over the holidays. Fingers crossed!’’ She held up her right hand briefly with her middle and index fingers crossed. “What about you? Anything exciting happening? Taking any fascinating trips?

Violet finally put away her letter, having read the information in it over a dozen times by now and realizing that she couldn't really do anything about it until she got home. She turned to listen to the headmaster's annual closing speech, but it all seemed so unreal this year, as if it were all happening for the first time. At least Slytherin had won the House Cup on this, her final year.

Violet turned to look around the Great Hall, up at the marvelous ceiling with it's night sky, and finally around the Slytherin table. "Hi, Maya, Aria," she said, in a belated attempt to greet her table-mates. Aria, as usual, was ignoring her; Violet had really hoped the other girl would grow out of whatever nargle was in her ear over Violet--what was she, sixteen now? She needed to grow up! Violet nodded to others around her at the table as well, trying to include everyone. It was really hitting her that she was experiencing all this for the last time, and she suddenly felt a rush of emotion. Everything was so confusing and nothing was going as she had pictured it in her head so many times. She could only pick at her food when it arrived, even though it seemed even more varied and delicious than usual.
