Upon entering this large classroom, it is very obvious what its purpose is. This room is dedicated to teaching Muggle and Wizard Music and is used by members of both the Frog Choir and Orchestra. Instrument cases of all shapes and sizes as well as rows of music stands with accompanying stools fill the inside of this room. In the front, a conductor's stand is positioned in between a polished black piano and a complete drum set.
For many at Hogwarts, students and adults alike, this is one of their favourite places inside the castle. At various hours throughout the day, wonderful music is made and you get to take a break from anything overly theoretical and hone your musical talents. Fortunately for those in Transfiguration or in other parts of the castle, your marvelous melodies cannot disturb them for the room is completely soundproof. So play as loud as you want! This space can also be reserved after scheduled class hours if you and your friends have formed a band and need somewhere appropriate to practice.

Music.
It was something that Jude at least seemed to have energy for. Quite unfortunate that he didn’t display a fraction of his energy for dancing. In Jude’s defense, dancing required much, much, MUCH more enthusiasm; enthusiasm which he could not muster right now. The Music Room happened to be his all time favourite spot at Hogwarts and right now, it was a comfort to him.
The Hufflepuff sat before the piano, his fingers moving over a particular tune that he had played over the summer for Reagan and Davet’s play - Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. His gaze was solely fixed on the keys and his long brown hair was falling over his face as it so often did.

Pretty much wrapped up in this moment Jude was.
Yukie had already been inside the music classroom before anyone else, but nobody would have known that. The Hufflepuff was sitting on the floor behind the piano as she stared at an empty parchment that was supposedly her homework. She thought that surrounding herself with things and not people might help her focus and think. And if not, she thought she could mess around with a random instrument to left off steam if she couldn't think of anything to jot down within the next thirty minutes. It would almost seem like she was hiding from the position she was in. Add into consideration her small stature and the colour of her clothes basically camouflaging her, she was oftentimes hard to notice in games of hide and seek.
Yukie was pretty much deep into her what-should-I-do thought process that she had not noticed another student enter the classroom. It was only when music came from the piano itself that Yukie was pulled back to reality. It was rather loud down here, considering how close she was to the sound board, so the intensity really did surprise her. Albeit the volume, the Hufflepuff couldn't deny that it was a pleasant melody
Entirely abandoning her clean parchment, Yukie crawled out of her position and peeked at whoever it was playing the piano. She was a lurker, her big brown eyes watching their every move.

Jude, being as distracted and wrapped up in his feels as he was, had not even bothered to check who else was in the room, much less any potential lurker. In any case, who would have thought that anyone would be lurking behind the piano? His fingertips seemingly flowed over the piano's keys. Truthfully? The fifth year was glad that he had stuck with his resolve to play something cheerful. It may even help lift his mood. MAY. It was a key word.
The Hufflepuff male was usually not so withdrawn and wrapped up in himself, and had this been the case today, he’d have noticed the presence of a baby Badger. Well, he would have seen the movement of her peeking at him. Instead, Jude switched the tune to Danny Elfman’s Wonka’s Welcome Song, the version he had played for the theater last summer. He thought this was his favourite, this theme, of the entire soundtrack.

Perhaps the fact that nobody ever seemed to check the piano other than to play it was the reason why Yukie chose to this designated spot on the floor. It also greatly helped that she got to listen to some good music from her 'hiding' place too.
Much of the music that older student was playing were unfamiliar to Yukie, but she appreciated it regardless as an opportunity to know more and to simply admire music as is. The littlest Rasting tapped her finger on the floor to the tempo of the melody too, all while still lurking and observing the other student.
Yukie waited for when they finished the song before she crawled out some more, revealing her position. "You play very well," she offered, a small smile plastered on her face. It was small, but it was genuine too.

Should he go right into another song? Okay, so he would have if he had actually made up his mind about what song to play. But you know something? Those few moments of playing the piano had actually helped his mood and cleared his head. Maybe this was the start of him falling back into the activities he loved? Jude didn’t know but decided that this was a start in the right direction. Perhaps he’d play something more upbeat now?
Perhaps not.
Only slightly startled, the older Huffepuff’s attention diverted from the piano to find Yukie there. Jude returned her smile, even though his was slightly wider. “Hi, Yukie. Why, thank you. It’s years and years of practice.” He eyed her, but not in any form of suspicion or any other bad way. “Been spying on me?” He was joking, of course. “And do you play? Want to learn a few scales if you don't?”
