HISTORY:
Javier, or Javi for short, was born in Mexico City, Mexico. His father, Miguel, was a pureblood wizard working in the muggle world as a data analyst, and his mother Camila was a half blood witch from Brazil who was a homemaker. When Javi was only three years old, his father accepted a job as the Mexican ambassador to the Ministry of Magic of Great Britain and relocated the family to Edinburgh, Scotland. Ever since Javi can remember, he loved to read and learn, and dabbled in a variety of hobbies, mostly focusing on musical instruments. He loves music and can play the piano, flute, and the cello. He also enjoys sports, his Quidditch team of choice being the Holyhead Harpies.
Javier was sorted into Slytherin while at school. He was honestly very surprised by his sorting, as he always thought he would end up in Ravenclaw due to his love of learning. His desire to excel in his studies not only led to 12 NEWTs, but also inspired him to go to Wizarding University after school. He completed an undergraduate degree in Potions Research at the school in Edinburgh before heading to the London school to complete a graduate degree in Magical Forensics. After working as an apprentice at a potion making facility for a few months, he accepted a job as an associate professor at the Wizarding University in Paris, France.
Javier had only one serious girlfriend in his life - a Durmstrang graduate from Russia named Karina Skovski, whom he had met during his first year at University. Wanting to focus more on his career and not really seeing a future for them, however, he broke up with her before his relocation to France. About a year later, he heard through mutual friends that Karina had given birth to his child, a daughter. Javier was livid that he knew nothing about the child, especially when he learned that Karina had wanted nothing to do with the girl and surrendered her to a muggle orphanage. Javier quit his job only one year after accepting it so he could focus full time on hiring a muggle lawyer and gaining full custody of his daughter. After months of legal headaches, Javier was granted full custody of his daughter, whom he named Camila after his mother. He gave her a Russian middle name, however, to give her a small tie to her mother's roots (despite how much he wants to pretend she doesn't exist). While he has tried to reach out to Karina and offered her visitation, he has not gotten a response from her.
Without a job to support himself and his daughter, he moved back in with his parents and took a job at the Ministry. After saving up money during his first year of work, he moved out to a flat in London with Cami, who attended Muggle childcare facilities while Javi was at work.
Javi thought he had met the love of his life in the year of 2100, and had planned to marry her and move together into a new house in the English countryside. However, a terrible falling out occurred and at heartbroken Javi quit his job abruptly and moved to Brazil with Cami. At the Wizarding University in Brazil (located in Brasilia) he was once again teaching his first love - potions. After a few years, he finally felt like his heart had healed enough and he could move back to London, particularly because he missed his family terribly. He got a job in his old department at the Ministry just so he could make some money, while always keeping an eye out for something better.
Camilla was set to start her schooling while they were in Brazil, but Javier decided to homeschool her instead of sending her to Castelobruxo as he knew he was likely going to be returning to London soon, and didn't want her to get attached to the school only to yank her from it a year later. Once he was settled back in London he planned to homeschool her for one more year before allowing her to attend Hogwarts - he'd heard about the whole "possession" thing from his colleagues and decided he'd keep her around one more year just to be safe. It was a good thing he did, because the Neo-Alliance took over Hogwarts that year and he found himself at the school grounds fighting against them at the Battle of Hogwarts. Cami was allowed to attend the next year and was sorted into Ravenclaw.
Javier is not a particularly talkative person unless you get to know him. He is often short and to the point, and easily irritated. Many of his closest friends have referred to him as "grumpy" which is a pretty accurate assessment of his mood most days. However, once you break down that wall and become close to him, Javier is extremely loyal and protective of those he cares about. As far as his teaching style goes, he has a set of rules and he expects them to be followed - and he doesn't have a lot of patience, so pushing his buttons is NOT recommended. Potions is serious and you could get hurt if you're not paying attention, hence why he takes his classroom rules so seriously. After his first term he took on the additional role as Groundskeeper - the private cabin was an added bonus - and after his second term, took on a third role as Slytherin Head of House.
OTHER FUN FACTS:
-Often very particular about what he eats since he was diagnosed with Crohn's disease during his final year at Hogwarts
-Hates cats, but unintentionally adopted one that wandered into his parent's house and won't leave. His name is Pepper and he loves him
-While posing as a muggle during the legal battle to adopt his daughter, he became obsessed with Muggle football. He now follows the Mexican National Football team.
-Fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and Russian.
-After his adoption of Camila, he has started collecting vintage children's books to start building her her own library

Orphaned as a young lad, his earliest memories consisted of holding his birth mother's hand while they walked across streets. His birth father would remain unknown. He heard about having a grandmother who had been deceased by the time he learned of them whilst the an orphanage.
Unknowingly, he would meet with his maternal grandfather emerging from the orphanage's tree. There was a spell between the two that couldn't be placed. But he was given the opportunity to attend the school of magic, Koldolvstoretz. Entranced, he agreed. Though, not without trouble. Perhaps it was from an unknown past and no known loyalty that led to his behavior issues.. until he learned of his true origins within his fifth year. He was a Hawkins. Staying at his Headmaster Grandfather's place the missing blanks were being filled. Unknowingly due to his mother's early death, following her abandoning his maternal grandmother... and his Grandfather didn't know of his daughter's existence.
Confused? Wait until one fated summer, he would meet his Uncles and cousin who seemed to be well taken with him. So much so, what was supposed to be a few months visit turned into a quick adoption process. He now had parents and a sister to go home to. The arrangement surprised even his grandparents who were actually working on keeping him in the first place.
Now, here he is. Due to an issue with school credits transferring, Caeson would have a second chance of his final two years at Hogwarts. With a little sister by his side.

Biography:
Violet could be well dressed, because her family has money, but she could care less about clothes. She's smart, well-read, socially awkward, not a little rebellious, and intensely curious, and she wants to be a writer.
Violet's mother came from an old, Pure-Blood family which disowned her when she eloped with a Muggle. Violet was sent home to live with her grandfather when she was very young and barely remembers her parents. She grew up in the family's London home with her grandfather and three eccentric uncles. When she was seven, her mother's old school-friend, Jane Howard, came to be Violet's governess. Violet wasn't allowed to play with many children her own age growing up, and as a result, she's socially awkward.
She grew up intensely curious about her father, because her family refuses to ever speak of him, and because of this, she conceived an idealized picture of him. In what should have been her second year at Hogwarts, her father contacted her and persuaded her to run away with him to New York. There she found out her family had good reason to keep her away from her father and that he was a rather disreputable confidence man who seemed to mainly want Violet with him so she could use her magic to further his schemes. Violet's mother was no longer with her husband and Violet doesn't know where she is, or if she is even still alive. Miss Howard tracked Violet down in New York City before too much damage was done and brought her back home, but the governess was fired as a result of Violet's escapade.
Because Violet missed what should have been her second year at Hogwarts, she's now a year behind her class. During her second year at Hogwarts, she was temporarily possessed by a ghost and was embarrassed about it for a long time.
During her third year, Hogwarts was taken over by the Neo-Alliance and Violet spent the latter part of the year locked in a room in the sub-dungeon, and the experience has made her suspicious, rebellious, and somewhat cynical.
She'd hoped to have a more normal fourth year, but her allergy to one of the ingredients in the potions Healer Poppy used in the candles caused her to spend most of the year with constant headaches and unable to eat much. These symptoms persisted into her fifth year and caused her some trouble in classes, but finally went away in time for her to take her O.W.L.S. She had been made somewhat suspicious and paranoid by the disasters of the past couple of years, and so reacted with un-Slytherin-like rashness and aggressiveness toward the vines that invaded campus.
Despite the lingering brain-fog from the previous year, Violet recovered enough by the end of her fifth year to score an impressive ten O.W.L.S. This, along with a summer romance, several school friendships, and a renewed relationship with her former governess, Jane Howard, have made her much more confident and put-together going into her sixth year. During sixth year, Violet participated in capturing the rogue Board of Governors member responsible for bringing the Pharoah's Triumph into the school the previous year. She also worked on a short story she'd been writing about the Neo-Alliance takeover of Hogwarts and at year's end she succeeded in getting it accepted for publishing by Witch Weekly Magazine over the summer. Violet is feeling very confident now about her skills in writing, school, and even socially, and looks forward to a really bang-up senior year at Hogwarts.

Edric was born to a young witch named Sienna Jackson on a cold winter's night in 2093. His mum had met his father in the elitist wizarding party scene, and neither particularly wanted anything to do with their child. Neither adjusted their selfish lifestyles to accommodate young Edric, either, who quickly became a pawn in their back-and-forth game.
After these rather nasty custody battles when Edric was too young to understand, the young Cambridge ended up with his father's family, as his mother was deemed unfit to parent him. Instead of being raised by his father, who only visits him a few times a year, Edric spent most of his early formative years under his great-grandparents' watchful eyes. The Cambridges instilled in him a sense of family pride, pureblood values, manners, and the like, although they were hardly what one would describe as warm-and-fuzzy parental figures. Edric enjoyed having the run of the large Cambridge manor and grounds, although he did have a lot of alone time and more than a few imaginary friends. He also bonded with several of his rambunctious cousins, his favourite (by far) being Emmerson Cambridge, who was only two years older than him.
When he was about ten and half, and just learning to play with his budding magic, Edric was shuffled around the family again and this time taken in by a cousin: THE Alexa Cambridge. THRILLED to have younger guardians to impress, and his favourite cousin to play with, Edric swore to himself to be the best kid he could be for them. Or at least... he'd try. Edric is used to adults disappointing him and not used to being wanted by them. He has a hard time trusting anyone but is so, so desperate to feel a sense of belonging and to have a proper, close-knit family of his own.
Also, he's been at Hogwarts since he was eleven, likely zoning out and learning nothing of value at all.
