| | |  Boris the Bewildered
 Not far from the entrance of the fifth-floor corridor stands a statue of Boris the Bewildered. Even though there is a statue present in dedication to the man, not much is known about him these days. Just by looking at his expression, it appears that he is either very lost or someone just Confunded him. Though, perhaps, this observation will not come as a surprise to you. After all, the old man is wearing his gloves on the wrong hands.
Hopefully you are faring significantly better than the statue standing before you. In general the statue is used as a landmark for prefects and Quidditch captains, serving as a gentle reminder that their exclusive bathroom is just a few doors down. If you are not a student leader, however, the statue might be viewed as yet another of those silly things that reside inside the castle and be deemed as something not worth investigating further. Though, if you ever need a casual meeting place, Boris will always be there to help you out even if he hasn't got a clue who you even are.

A seventh year prank, her mother had talked about it before. At least she thought she remembered her mother talking about it once. How her and some friends pulled a seventh year prank. Had she really Gemma wasn't sure, it just didn't seem like her mother, but as she stood there staring at that ugly statue one that she always felt needed a makeover she had decided she didn't care either way because today she was going to do a prank of her own.
Moving closer to it she pulled out a dress from her bag and then her wand. Making the dress grow longer to fit the statue she lifted it over it's head and put it down. She couldn't help but smile.
"Don't worry Boris, I'll make you finally look better."
Next she pulled out the floppy hat!

Next she pulled out the floppy hat! Karleigh was headed through the corridor on her way towards her dorms after her weekly homework/study group. It was much easier now that OWLs were over, but it was still nice to have a designated time to get her homework done. But it did make her miss Darren more now that he was gone and not a part of the group anymore. She should probably write him soon.
She was a little distracted in her thoughts when she came across a very interesting sight in the corridor. That silly old statue wearing a dress. "What are you doing, Gemma?" she laughed, noting the hat in the older girl's hands. "I mean.. it is an improvement." Poor guy really could use a makeover.

A talking point at the very least." Boris looked kind of silly now, truth be told, but all the statues were awfully stuffy and could use some sprucing up - silly or not. And maybe it would give people something more to talk about than the dance that was still months away. At least for a few minutes.
"Sure, what did you have in mind?" Karleigh was the helpful sort anyways, but this could be fun. She laughed softly as the older girl pulled out some jewelry. "I think that's perfect to complete his look. Oh! Do you have any lipstick?" The sixteen year old didn't normally carry any on her, but maybe Gemma did.

Gemma was having fun with this and she was enjoying that someone wanted to help. "I thought it could work well too. I have a few other things for some of the suits of armor." So if she wanted to help with that there was opportunities to do some more of this later.
Handing over the earrings she grinned, "I thought they would look good too." She lifted the neckalace and put it on Boris. "I think he his looking much better and I think everyone else will think he is an upgrade. I spent so much time thinking how awful he looked for so many years. This is soooooo much better."
Her grin only grew when asked about lipstick, "Oh I have a bunch of makeup in here to use if you would like. Think he is a pink or red lipstick kind of guy?"

Karleigh giggled softly at the thought of the whole row of suits of armor dressed in costume. "They could all be themed even or change with the season." Okay, now she was getting some ideas and this could really be fun.
She took the earrings from Gemma and stood up on her tip toes to reach and stick them on his ears. "Much better!" She stood back to admire their work so far, then considered him when the other girl asked about the color. "Hmm. I think he is definitely a red lip for sure." She glanced over at the older girl. "Are you really into makeup?" It was something that Karleigh wanted to learn a little more about but she wasn't great at it.
