| | |  Hufflepuff Table
 For those who belong in Hufflepuff House, in the middle of the Great Hall is where your table awaits. Gold banners containing an embroidered black badger float above the polished table in honour of the loyal Helga Hufflepuff. Already placed on the tables are silver plates with accompanying cutlery and goblets. All that is missing right now are the mountains of food and pitchers containing your favourite beverages.
Though your stomach might be growling as you take a seat on one of the long benches next to the table, it is important to not get hangry -- gnawing your arm away or jabbing your fork repeatedly on the surface of the table will do no good whatsoever. Give everyone some time to get settled in and wait for Headmaster Kazmi to deliver his speech. Keep yourself preoccupied by catching up with your fellow housemates or those who are visiting from the other tables until it is time to sink your teeth into the hearty and delicious meal prepared by the house-elves.

Fear not.
Jude was not going to get hangry despite him being hungry. There was no reason for him to get annoyed about anything for it was almost time to go home! Home meant his mom and dad, Koen, more dancing, more singing, more baking and cooking and all the things he adored. Jude was even looking forward to seeing Davet.
He took a place at the Hufflepuff Table, scanning it for Keigh. Had the baby sister made it there as yet? |

Where had the entire term gone?
It had gone by so quickly, it had felt like she wasn't even here at times. Between all of her lessons, homework, clubs and spending time with family and friends time really flew by. Keeping busy definitely was key to having the most successful year. Well.. that and having a whole lot of fun which she absolutely made sure to do.
In through the large doors of the Great Hall Keighley walked with a bounce on her step and a bright smile on her face. Big blue eyes looked all around for any familiar faces before she made her way towards her house table. "Jude," the blonde exclaimed in the happiest voice, plopping down on the bence right at his side. "Are you ready to go home? Do you think we'll go on vacation this summer? You're still going to paint my nails and do my makeup for me, right?" All of the questions tumbled from her lips as if she hasn't asked them hundreds of times before and already knew the answers. Merlin only knew how her big brother wasn't going crazy with her already.

Jude had a bit of news to share with his sisters. He was fairly sure he knew how Rea would react but he knew that Keigh would be okay with said news. Speaking of the younger sister… He turned to her as she sat herself down beside him. It was no surprise to him when Keigh bombarded him with questions. He was quite used to this ball of energy that was Keighley Anders, the most adorable little sister ever!
He laughed. “Got all of your questions out? Good. Okay, I’m ready to go home!” Jude could hardly wait for all the things he’d get to do during that time! "I’m not sure… at least not for me. You know how time consuming all my practice can get. Of course I will! Why won’t I do that for one of my best girls? Plus, we’ll have to ensure Rea makes it up to you for making you cry earlier…” The boy could handle Reagan in her worst moods but Keigh was softer than he was. Rea had done wrong by snapping at Keigh just because she was freaking out over OWLs. It was a good thing Keigh was the forgiving type.
“So uh. I’ve got something to let you know. Mom and dad already have agreed to it. Evan’s going to be staying over with us for a bit this summer.” | |

Lily, unlike her cousin could get hangry or, well, was it even hanger if you weren’t even sure if you were hungry? Still, she was just ready to go home to be with her family and for summer. So the now fifteen-year-old had trudged over to the table and flopped onto the bench across from Keigh and couldn’t help but raise her eyebrow when she heard the names.
” so, do you have anything fun planned for summer with Evan?” she asked, raising an eyebrow; of course, a part of her was curious as to what they would be up to since, well, she wanted distractions and fun this summer. ” oh! Jude! Did you hear about what happened at the Music Awards?” she asked as her eyes sparkled with mischief and awe ” you know um ... Anabeth – Koen’s bandmate – well ...” she paused and fished the photograph taken from the event out of her pocket ” apparently some musician proposed to her? Like at the event? I think if that were me, I would have died, you know, from embarrassment because there are like a million zillion people watching” she shook her head and laughed and just handed him the clipping from the magazine.
Why had she kept it – simple? She knew the band AND HELLO? She wanted to like bug mum and dad about seeing if she could get dress robes that were that shade of green since it was so pretty ... gosh, she just found her so pretty even if she’d never admit it out loud because ew fangirling over people was so not her scene.

Keighley beamed brightly at Jude his laughter at her questions not at all a bother to her. "Me? Never. I always have questions," she giggled. So don't ever forget that big brother because at any moment in time the questions could come forth once more.
"Me too! I can't wait to see mum and papa and sleep in my bed!" She was going to crash so hard their first night home. "Well yeah.. that's true but can't you get away for even a short time? Perhaps a weekend?" A little vacation can't hurt anyone. Cue dramatic fake gasp! "One of?! So I'm not you bestest girl?" Pouts cutely but that quickly changes into a sigh. "I know she didn't mean it..."
Bright blue eyes focused on Jude. Something to tell her? Evan? Ooooh!!! A smile but very bright smile tugged at her lips. "Really? Do I get to hangout with you both too?" Please, please pleeeeeeeeease!!!!
Keighley waved as their cousin joined them at their table. Hiya, Lily! Now what's this about Koen's band and a wedding?

A familiar figure caught his eyes. Of course it did because Jude had been looking out for him. The Hufflepuff could not ignore the fact that his heart skipped a beat when he saw Evan. Not that it made a difference - he was resigned to the fact that he was stuck in the best friend zone and it would probably be that way forever. Deciding that Evan was seemingly occupied with staring in the direction of the Staff Table, he swung his gaze to the Gryffindor Table. There was his and Keigh’s older sister engaged in animated chatter. No surprises there. No surprise either that she seemed much more at ease now that OWLs were over.
You could bet that Jude knew Keigh ALWAYS had one question or another. He never minded though and was always patient about answering them all. He knew, like him, Keigh missed home a lot. “Me too. I imagine they must miss us loads too.” He grinned. “For you? I’d clear my schedule for two weekends.” See? Jude enjoyed spoiling Keigh. “Has Rea been teaching you acting? That was a very convincing gasp of shock in my opinion.” Then he chuckled. “You, mom and Rea are all tied for first place. Don’t make me choose just one of you, Keigh!” He wouldn’t be able to make up his mind, anyway.
“Oh hey, Lil!” You know one thing that Jude loved? That he had such a HUGE family. It meant that he had so many cousins his age or around his age. He beamed at Lily, tilting his head as he considered her question. “Uh… I haven’t got much planned yet. I suppose I’ll drag him along to my dance classes, that’s one thing for sure. Otherwise, we’ll just take things day by day.” That reminded him… “I bet mom and dad wouldn’t mind if you, Elias and Lia stay over a bit too. They’re used to having a full house over the summer. Bit of a shame to disappoint them this time around. Don’t you think, Keigh?”
By the way Lil’s eyes sparkled, Jude already knew there was quite the tea to spill. His interest soared at once. Yes, he knew ALL of Koen’s bandmates therefore he knew Anabeth. What he hadn’t got the chance to catch up with was the Music Awards. No need to worry though, thanks to Lil. “But that’s super clever of him!” the boy replied enthusiastically, and forever the hopeless romantic. “I mean, as long as she said ‘yes’, everything should be fine, right? I would have, probably instantly, especially if the guy I’m into proposed to me in that manner.” Jude took the clipping to study the contents. | |

Hungry? Jasper Amir? Forever and always. It was a trait he had received directly from his baba. After three years of experience, however, he had learned to snack right before the feast. Getting to the speech always took forever and he liked to be in a good mood for the last day of term.
And in a good mood he was.
Making his way to the Hufflepuff table in that Jasper way of his, he greeted everyone with a warm smile. ”Sup guys?!” Boisterous Botros didn’t even feel awkward about interrupting the family affair with his arrival. ”What’s everyone up to this summer??” Heh.

End-of-year feasts were sad, but Fox wasn't. The promise of summer was enough to combat any spooky feelings over anyone leaving or graduating. Plus, anyone he might miss over the summer he'd just go bug at their homes anyway. His mates who favored alone time were lucky he couldn't apparate yet.
The fifth year gravitated toward the area of the table he'd likely find Henry, a rogue Iggy, Mal, the Cooke twins, Mamie, Florrie, or– well, anyone who made for good company– like Lily, who he winked at on his way to chill beside Jasper, just in time to hear his question among the other conversations of their housemates.
"The sky's the limit, yeah?" 'Cause Fox didn't know, but there were loads of possibilities. "What about you, mate? Quidditching till you drop?"
The guy was two years younger than him, but always seemed to be rapidly closing the distance in their heights. What kind of diet was he even on? Had to be something wild. | |

Lily gave Keighley a little wink and wiggled her eyebrows at her little cousin. Tilting her head Lily just grinned, ”you and Evan should come and visit us or at least me” she gave Keighley and Jude the b i g g e s t puppy dog eyes she could muster. Leaning closer to her younger cousin she just grinned ”if you want to come and spend time with me this summer you’re welcome to – i’m thinking of trying to head to the ocean for a bit?” she grinned ”you and Ev should join Jude ... maybe you could –“ her voice trailed off for a second as her eyes darted over to the smiling face of a slightly older classmate.
Ahem ... ”what was i saying? Right summer! Come visit me” she beamed at them and chuckled when Jude mentioned not minding the musketeers being there over summer ”oh good, i was afraid you wouldn’t want us around” she chuckled and tilted her head, ”and maybe we could get a large group of people together and get ice cream or just go to the arcade and do something fun?” she offered with a flip of her hair as she turned to look over to Jasper and gave him a kind smile.
Jasper got a BIG grin from Lily and one of her trademark only slightly awkward waves. ”Hey Jasper” she beamed happily, ”I was saying a trip to the arcade or ice cream parlor would be fun – y’know something fun with all of the people? Obviously you’re welcome if you want to come” she smiled happily and crinkled her nose as she did. Seeeee she was cute and happy and that was great right? Was her face red – maybe okay just a little bit but that was a given. don’t melt ahem. ”any fun plans yourself Fox?” she asked as she furtively looked up at him. YES of course her mind was screaming but there was no way it wouldn’t do that right now. The bubbly young thing tried to flutter her lashes a little bit but no, that was obvious too obvious – stop it Lily. no no no the panic of people realizing things hit her as she made a point to wipe at her eye. ”something in my eye”. Smooth Lily.

"They must get super lonely without all of us home now.. we should get them a cruppy or something to keep them company." That way their parents wouldn't be all alone and they would have something to take care of! It was a great idea. "I might hold you to that now just so I can have you all to myself for a weekend," Keighley giggled. As much as she loved family, sometimes it was really great to do things one on one with them all too. "Nope! That was all me! Was I good at it?" Acting wasn't her thing but who knew.. she might come need it one day. "It won't cause I know the truth anyhow. Deep down everyone knows that you love me best." Keigh teased, trying hard not to laugh.
A bright smile tugged at her lips. "Mummy and papa wouldn't mind at all, I don't think. We can have a slumber party and take turns.. one time at our house and another time at your house. What do you think, Lil?" It was an epic idea, right? The mention of going to the ocean and the ice cream parlor and arcade had her wiggling with excitement in her seat. "Yesssss! I want to go! Can I go too? Please, Lily? Jude.. I can go too, right?" There was no way she was going to her left out of all this fun!!!
The two older boys Jasper and Fox both got bright smiles and wiggling fingers in greeting when each of them joined the table. "Hello!" she chirped happily.

Jude rather thought his parents enjoyed their alone time when their kiddos were away. He said nothing of the sort to Keigh though - why would he want to corrupt her innocent mind? “Should we make that a goal then? Finding them the perfect cruppy?” Merlin! He was going to have to stretch himself thin this summer! But like he said… “Anything for you! We’ll watch all the movies you want.” Yes, even the most girliest ones Keigh might choose. “I think you were great! Rea’s clearly rubbing off on you. Just don’t run around yelling at the top of your lungs, please.” The boy sighed in amusement. “That, little sister, is something I refuse to confirm or deny.” And he laughed, enough for the both of them.
“Jasper! Hi!” The third year should have no qualms about interrupting them. Hufflepuff was a huge family itself, right? “That’s what we’re figuring out right now. Like Lil said, you’re always welcome to join us at some point.’’ The more, the merrier after all!
“Has Reagan been teaching YOU how to improve those puppy eyes?” Jude asked, eyeing Lil with an increased feeling of being impressed. He didn’t see why they couldn’t visit each other though. Afterall, he was always up for time with any family member. But he needn’t worry. Jude chuckled and reached out to put an arm around his baby sister. “Of course, we can go! As long as Lil, Lia and Elias visit us at some point.” The boy felt as though he were negotiating. “So it’s settled then! Happy, Lil? We can visit the ocean as much as you like.”
Jude smirked. It wasn't something he did often but this concerned Lil. Merlin knows how much he wished he were sitting next to her so that he could elbow her in her side like she did to him whenever Evan was around. “Why wouldn’t we want you around? Did SOMEONE'S appearance make your brain go suddenly mellow?’’ he asked innocently. Arcades, ice creams, oceans, dances, trips to families, a visit from his best friend… this was going to be quite the summer!
His eyebrows went up. “Need some help there, Lil? I mean, we won’t want you to be stuck inadvertently winking at anyone throughout the entire feast…” Jude did his utmost to hold back the laughter he so wanted to let go of. | |

Yukie's first year at Hogwarts was nothing but eventful and she had met plenty of new people, but she would be lying if she said she wasn't looking forward to heading home for the summer. The young Hufflepuff had sooo many stories she wanted to each member of her family, who would be so willing to listen to her babble about her school experience. The list started with Grandpa, for sure. He always loved listening to her, no matter what ridiculous story she had in mind.
The littlest Rasting went to occupy her usual space in the Hufflepuff table, and hoped her classmates would come join her soon enough. It seemed she was rather early, but that didn't matter. She took this time to look around and pick up stories or conversations from people nearby. She found herself particularly drawn to the topic initiated by that older Hufflepuff boy (Jasper) so Yukie looked at him first and then at each person who replied to him. Ice cream! Arcade! Nice plans, they were.
Quidditching till one drops, though? Yukie tilted her head to the side as the other older boy (Fox) mentioned that. That seemed...painful. Tiring.
....Unless he was exaggerating, yes??
