I'd like you to please follow a few simple rules when posting here:
1- If you feel sick and need to lie down just go ahead into the Quiet Area. If it's something more serious (i.e. spell damage, animal bites, etc.) then come to the Waiting Room for treatment.
2- If you are just visting a patient you may go right ahead to the Quiet Area and visit. Keep your voices to a low murmur and be respectful of others. Feel free to pull the curtain around the bed for more privacy.
3- Come to my office if you have questions.
4-"Quiet Area" does not denote a substitute for the Library of Dormitories. If you are caught studying, napping (and are not ill), or otherwise not following the rules I will send you back to your Common Room and take off 3 House Points.
5- All students must report to my office in order to purchase anything from the Apothecary. You must tell me what you'd like to purchase and why and then I'll be happy to retrieve it for you.
All potions, salves, pills, etc. are for the use of the buyer only. Any student found distributing medication of any kind to students/guests/teachers and staff/animals, etc. will get a Detention and lose House Points. I'm very serious about this.
6- Please limit OOC posts. By "limit" I mean no more than 3 in any given thread.
NEW RULE # 1: You may chat (in character, of course).
NEW RULE #2 (and, arguably, the more important one): You cannot stay in the Hospital Wing as long as you like. Once you feel better you are free to go, of course, but otherwise you must leave when I discharge you. I may not discharge you for up to a week (depending on the severity of your illness) but once I do, you must leave the Hospital Wing immediately. If you don't leave when instructed I will take 1 House Point.
IMPORTANT: You must wait 4 days between Hospital visits. If you "magically" (no pun intended) become ill again and return to the Hospital Wing within 4 days or less of being discharged you will lose House Points. I don't know how many; it will depend on my mood, frankly. I'm implementing this rule for a couple of reasons: a) I don't want to treat you 39655600543168 times; B) There's no good reason to be in the Hospital Wing for more than a week at a time; and c) It doesn't leave room for other people to RP.
There
may be a few exceptions to this rule i.e. if it conflicts with the School Story or if the Headmaster/Deputy Headmistress says otherwise.
Thank you!
