The next Quidditch Match will be between Ravenclaw and Slytherin.

The match will begin Thursday April 22, 2004 at roughly 10am EST (-5 GMT)

The Stands and Cheerleading areas will be unlocked at that time.

Hendrik 04-22-2004 04:44 PM

Professor Hendrik walks out onto the Pitch, ready to start the second Quidditch Match of the term. He points his wand at his throat and says, "sonorus". With his voice amplified he announces the start of the second match.

"Greetings and welcome to the second Quidditch Match of the term. Today Ravenclaw will be playing Slytherin! I hope both teams are ready for a good clean game! Remember, anyone who is not on either team competing in today's match caught posting here will cause either their team or house to loose points. The Stands and Cheerleading areas are now open."

Professor Hendrik kicks open his Quidditch trunk, releasing both Bludgers. He takes out the Golden Snitch, releases it and in a flash, it dissapears somewhere over the Hufflepuff section of the stands. He grabs the Quaffle and his whistle and readys himself for the start of the game.

OOC: OK, from now on out, I will be trying to move all Quidditch matches at an excellerated pace. I want the game to be played in two to three days instead of five or six. Having said that, I will be posting Quaffle and Bludger questions every 15-20 mins. while I'm online. When responding to a specific question, I would like you to quote the question in your reply before you answer. That way it will be easier for me and others to see who is answering what question and make it easier for me to assign points. If you have any questions, please PM me.

Professor Hendrik blows his whistle and releases the Quaffle! The match is ON!

Answer to Bludger Question:

Stooging
(See Whisp, Quidditch through the Ages, page 30 for Wizard Quidditch description.) Called against any Chaser who enters the Scoring area without being in possession of the Quaffle or when another Chaser from the same team is already in the Scoring area. Offending team loses possession of the Quaffle. Purpose is to prevent ganging up on the Keeper to prevent him/her from defending the goals.

"And Slytherin Beater, SnakelikeShorty scores a direct hit against Ravenclaw!"

Bludger:

Where are Divination classes held?

Trelawney's classroom is located at the top of North Tower near her living quarters,

Firenze's lectures take place in classroom 11, which is located along the ground floor corridor on the opposite side of the entrance hall from the Great Hall

anhaire 04-22-2004 09:25 PM

With Professor Trelawny, they were held at the top of North Tower, but Firenze's classes were held in classroom 11, which is on the ground floor.

OOC: Slytherin is made crazy about winning. Ok the match begin at 10:00 am gst. That means that the match started i think like 12:00 pm est. Those questions that ya'll are answering are old. When no one from either teams post answer to teh question in 10 minutes he changes the questions to the other team. No one is online at the time (taht plays on the quidditch team atleats). Those answers won't count and they will not be held againts neither teams; they won't do any good to the match. I know the rules from back to foward. As far as i am concered the captain should know them too  .

Prof. Hendrik: I am just curious where your read in the rules that unanswered, old questions don't count? Please see my explination below.

LadySlytherin 04-23-2004 03:31 AM

((There has been a slight misunderstanding about the rules. It's my fault that I didn't clear it up with Professor Hendrik & my team before. Sorry about the disruption of the match becuase of this. But please do not blame any of my team members, it is my fault for misunderstanding. I shouldve read the rules more precisely and told my team about it. But anyways...why don't we just continue playing and forget about the late answers...?))

lightstar1154 04-23-2004 03:37 AM

:does a lap around the field waiting for the quaffle to come her way:

OCC: All teams/memebers are perfectly capable of reading the rules, it is completely up to hendrik, not us...
