"Good day, Professor :) What will we be studying today?" |
"Today we will be making a wound-cleaning potion. I hope you all brought your cauldrons. Now, I've set out all of the ingredients you'll need on this front table," she gestured to a large wooden table in front of the window. "Now, take out your cauldrons and follow these directions," she wrote the recipe in orange cursive and left it hanging, cloud-like, in the air: "3 palm-sized handfuls of dried nettles 1 rattlesnake rattle 2 rat tails 1/2 peeled shrivelfig 20 black beetle eyes teaspoon powdered moonstone She began to pace the room as the students mixed their potions. |
"Professor, should we add them all at once?" Aschere asked |
"My feelings exactly, I am with Ashchere there. The timing, the stirring: how do we do that in this potion? And do we mix it with water or does it has to be water-free? And, just curious, who invented it? The only thing I know is that it is purple, it smokes and it stinks... and that's pretty much it." :huh: :lol: "We are so used to Professor Airlia's meticulous potion brewing we are clueless here, so we need you to elaborate." Finishes taking her supplies out as she speaks. |
Andrew sets up his cauldron and retrieves the ingredents from the supply the nurse has provided. He turns and copies the ingredents list while waiting for the the instructions of how to add the ingredents, what to do when they are added and the basic things Professor Airlia provides in Potions lessons. "Er.....Professor do we start with water in the cauldron or what?" Andrew asks. |
*Claire puts all her items in an orderly fashion on the table* "Yes professor, i'm with everyone else on this... what should we do first?? I dont want anything to like blow up in our faces here." |
*Runs in* 'Sorry i'm late Professor' *Puts her cauldron down and look at the Proffesor a little confused* 'Uh Professor, you have given the ingredients alright, but how do we star it with. And how long doo we have to keep it?' |
Feesha walks in, and reads the instructions, she oulls out her cauldron, and retreives her ingridients, she then waits for the next instructions, if there is to be any. She waits patiently with the rest of her classmates. |
*Sarah pulled out her ingredients and measured carefully, waiting for the rest of the instruction. She wrote everything down on a spare bit of parchment in case she needed this potion in the future.* |
Jade carefully prepares her ingredients after quickly taking down the instructions. Looking quietly, she waits for the signal to begin. |

Not knowing what to do next, and having too much of a chaos to hear a response, Nadia decided on starting brewing the potion, putting all the ingredients all together not matterting the order... after all, she always had lots of potion ingredients and though she wouldn't be needing so much of those with so little classes left. Nadia reached on the dried nattles with her hand and took one, two, three handfuls of them. She had a littleless-than-average hand, so she added a pinsh more just in case. She then added the rattlesnake, and the rat tails (with time using dragon hidegloves >.< ). she peeled her shrivelfig and added half. then counting the black beetle eyes, she put them aside first; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20! Then added tham all. and finally the teaspoon of powdered moonstone. She didn't know if to stir, but seeing she was given no intructions at to that, she only waited for the mass to mix, not adding water either... mmh, this might turn ugly, she thought. Well, at least give it a try, right? And she could always start over^^ |
Alex takes out her cauldren and ingrediants. I'm not a good potion maker so I'll definatly need more instruction here. |
