She stopped just before Hagrid’s Hut, softly putting down the plants that were still covered with the veil.

There were logs lying on the ground for the students to sit on as the grass was a bit damp. She checked her watch again and waited for the students to appear.

Riiya walks over towards Hagrid's Hut as she sees a few of her classmates at a distance.she was wearing a lilac jacket zipped up half way with a light Turquoise quater sleeves shirt inside and a navy blue jeans and dark blue sneakers. her platinum hair was tied up in a high pony tail using a Blue ribbon.

"hi everyone," Riiya says to her classmates as her cheeks turns slightly pink because of the cold atmosphere.
"hi, Professor," Riiya says to her Herbology Professor.

Serena chose a place in the grass, having brought a blanket to sit on. She sips her hot chocolate and says, "Thanks Andrew...this is warming me right up!" She looks up at the moon and then turns again to the Professors plants, "OOHH!" :whisle:

greek_snitch comes running as qiuckly as she can. 'Hello proffesor, I hope I am not late.' Then she sits down on her blacket.

*takes some hot chocolate from Andrew with a respectful nod*

*tilts her head a bit to make sure she can see the plants while they do whatever the plants will do*

Call me dumb, but what are we watching for exactly? I mean, what haeppns in the moonlight? (OCC: Sorry I missed most last class )

well thats what we are studying.i think it might have something to do with how the plants grow the more that they r exposed to sunlight but moon light might have the same effect as the sun.

Continues sitting waiting for the rest of the class.

Becca closed her eyelids then jerked her head up. She opened her eyelids and yawned. She looked at the plants then slowly closed her eyelids. Her head began to droop downwards. Shejerked her head up again and opened her eyelids. She blinked a couple of times then looked back at the plants.

Riiya walks over to Caroline (Firebolt) and sat down beside her. She turned to her and smiled

"do u mind?" Riiya asks.
she looked over to the Norandola as it reacts to the ray of the moonlight....

Kali yawns and looks at the Norandola plants then up at the full moon.

*she continues with her idea*well you know how some plants grow to the sun maybe moon light has the same effect or it could speed up the growing stage or totally change the color like how some poeple change into wharewolves.some people looked at her like she was crazy.hey it could be!!!!

Padfoot pulls his cloak about himself as the chill of the night creeps into his bones. He watches the Professor uncover the two plants and waits for the moon to show itself from behind the clouds.

Professor Phoenix looked up at the moon, covered by clouds all the same. A bell rang. Once – twice - … twelve times. It was midnight. Just in that moment, the cloud shifted to reveal the moon shining brightly.

Nothing happened.

Just as the first students started to move uncomfortably on their logs, the plants started squiggling. Next, they were glowing as brightly as the moon above, slowly rotating on the spot. They rotated faster and faster, finally lifting up the whole pot and spinning rapidly, drapped in silver light.
Professor Phoenix sat down on the side, looking at the plants as transfixed as everyone else. Before their very eyes, the plants were now an oddly blur of silver and white, still spinning fast. They seemed to start to melt.

Suddenly, everything stopped. The pots fell back onto the table with a thud.

The class gasped. The plants had changed their appearance.

From their original form, they now looked very different. The one on the left that had been Professor Phoenix’s feather-petal flower looked like a miniature bush with a lot of tiny silver flowers on it. By closer examination, they turned out to be little silver crescents. The other plant was also very bush-like, but instead of the crescents, it had tiny bubbles that seemed to be filled with golden mist.

Professor Phoenix stood up.

“Any ideas, any explanations of this behaviour?”

"wow..." Riiya said as she stares at the two Norandola plants...

She started to think.."why?why...how?"

"maybe...it was spinning to make sure each side of the plant got the ray of the moon..."

Riiya tried to think about it some more...

"and since both plants are shaped like a bush,i guess it means that any other Norandolas would look like a bush too..with a little difference..."

"Silver means its a girl...and gold means...a guy??"

Oh, that's awsome, proffesor! Has the difference in those two plants to with the fact that one of them represent day and the other night, or perhaps the sun and the moon?

*beater was thinking bout her plant that grew normally*i think that most plants only grow when they r exposed to sunlight but maybe this plant at it's adult stage might start growing more but only when it is exposed to moonlight like my explainion before.*she looks at it oce more writing down what she had saw*or the moonlight could have an effect on the plant like it has on people/wharewolves, because it totally changed a different color and a bush with tiny flower.so the whole plant kinds went reverse.she says brightly*

since moonlight is a bit magical it would change the plant that grew normally but add to the plant that grew by magic. thats why the two plants are different.

These plants must be influenced by the moon, kind of like the way you have to collect different plants during certain cycles of the moon because of the qualities they aquire at that time.

i agree but alas the plant is still it's kind it has just changed a bit because exposure to moonlight, you can find this plant grown in the sunlight too but when it is exposed to moonlight it starts a whole new groth cycle but it will still b the same age.and when we expose it to sunlight again it will spin again and and change back.

Nadia raise her hand, "It's because one it a female plant, while the other is a male plant. I remember from the notes you left last year." *ponders* "They need to change into this particular appearance to reproduce, I am guessing?"

after hearing she who is's conclusion she decides.the bubles from the plant on the right and the cresents from the plant on the left if added together somehow may make seeds.and what just happened was the last stage:the reproduceing stage?

“Very good!

"So, this plant on the left, the one with the silver crescents, is the female plant, the one on the right, with these bubbles, is the male one. Now… just wait a moment…”

Professor Phoenix sat back down. The flowers were swinging in a light breeze that apparently came from nowhere.

Suddenly the capsules of the male plant burst open. The golden dust inside them poured out thickly, drifting lazily towards the crescents on the female plant.

“Let’s have a closer look.”

Professor Phoenix got up and pulled out a small bottle with a cork from her pocket. She held it into the dust emitting from the bubbles and filled some into the bottle. Then she stuck her finger into it and took it out again. It was covered with a thin layer of golden dust. She shook her finger and some of the dust fell off.

“Engorgio!” she said and pointed her wand at the dust.

Instead of the golden mist, there were now hundreds of little golden stars floating infront of her, measuring about 3 inches in diameter.

“Pretty, isn’t it? Now, you can just come forth and have a closer look if you like to.”
