Professor Coolio walks into the class and begins to write on the Chalkboard while waiting for students to arrive.

"Welcome to Arithmancy. Today is going to be an introduction and you will not be learning but getting to know each other. I will be giving you homework at the end of class where you can earn 5 points for your house."

Hearing Cordelia's comment about the accuracy of Arithmancy made him think of another question, but he bit his tongue this time and just scrawled out another note to himself in rather large letters.

"Fate versus free will."

"And I'd be one of them, professor. Honestly, I don't understand how people can see their future by staring into a crystal ball. At least with numbers, I can see them."

Professor turns to Voldemortsucks. "There is a chance at that. However, not likely does it occur. Usually there is always a solution like, not putting your full name. Other than that its usually works."

Zekke nodded in agreement. Arithmancy seemed like it would be more accurate from a logical point of view, though he seriously wondered if: just because your numbers said something then does it mean it's definitely going to come true.

Could you change the outcome?

I mean, if you decided to not do something that would affect the outcome of something, then surely the eventual outcome couldn't be the same?

He swore smoke was coming out of his ears from thinking so much.

He had to ask.

"Professeur, if you predicted something, and it's a ways off in the future, and if you somehow did something differently... could you change the outcome of your prediction?" He had a perplexed look on his face.

"But Zekke, we are using numbers here. Each letter of your name has different representing numbers. The outcome is these numbers' sum. Unless you make an numerical mistake, how can you control the outcome?"

*Cordelia looked curiously at Zekke than at professor.

2.Compare and Contrast Arithmancy to Divination.

3.What three numbers can Arithmancy give you if done correctly?

4.What do you look forward into doing in Arithmancy?
