Professor Lainey unlocked her door to her classroom and glided back to her chalkboard. She wrote, " Take a seat and take out your quills, get ready my students for historical thrills. She smiled at her little rhyme despite the fact she knew it was completely dorky .Then she took a seat then stood up, then took a seat again, just to get right back up again. She was more than excited about her first class and just couldn't sit still. Beginning to glide back and forth in a pace-like fashion, she waited for her students to arrive. |
*Kelvon takes his seat* |
Ceci walks in and takes a seat. She then takes out her quill and parchment and puts them on her desk. Hello Professor Lainey. How are you doing? My name is Ceci, this is my first year. |
*Claire walks in and takes a seat. Then she takes out her quill and paper.* Hey Proffessor! |
*I wonder if todays lesson is good* |
*Elyse walks in and takes a seat near the front of the room.* *Is very excited to start class.* "Hello, Professor!" |
"When is class going to start"Kelvon said |
Christina walks in taking a seat near the middle. |
*Cordelia walks in and takes her seat. She takes out her quill and parchments. |
*walks in quietly and takes a seat at the back of the class and pulls out her parchment and quill and books for the lesson and waits patiently for class to begin* |
Professor Lainey smiled from ear to ear at all the eager students and greeted them all with a nod. She rubbed her ghostly hands together and said, "Alright, let's get started." She settled on the front of her desk. "Ok. Today's lesson will be about the history of the founders of this magnificent school, Hogwarts. You all are sorted into one of four Houses and each of your Houses was made by one of the Four Founders, Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Salazar Slytherin. Each House holds the qualties that the founder found most important in a witch or wizard. Who can tell me a quality of Salazar Slytherin?" |
raises her hand "He was cunning." |
Raises her hand and says "He was a Parsletongue so that's why the Snake is the animal that represents Slytherin House." |
*Raises her hand. "The quality of Salazar Slytherin was cunning who used any means to achieve his ends. He believed that only pure-blood wizards and witches should be allowed to attend Hogwarts. He was also a parsletongue." |
*raises hand* salazar slytherin believed that only cunning, quick thinking wizards and witches could be accepted to hogwarts and that he accepted pure bloods only. |
Salazar was cunning and power hungry |
"He also believed that students should have been taught some amounts of dark magic I believe" |
"Yes! Yes! Yes! and Yes! That'll be two points to each house! Ok so yes like you guys said, Salazar was indeed cunning, but he also was resourceful and a very determined wizard. But Salazar didn't always agree with the other Founding Three. Anyone know why? " |
"Because he believed in only allowing pure-blood witches and wizards, but the other three believed in allowing all witches and wizards." |
He wanted to teach Dark Arts and only accept Purebloods. |
He fought with Godric Gryfindor because Slytherin just wanted purebloods in the school, not just in his house. Due to this arguement, he left Hogwarts after building a Secret Chamber that held a basilisk to kill everyone who was not pureblood. |
*raises hand again and repeats what she said earlier* because he believed only purebloods should be accepted to hogwarts |
raises hand "Well, they all believed certain students should be taught for different reasons. He believed that only pureblood wizards who were cunning should be aloud to attend Hogwarts. And that they should be taught some of the dark arts. Needless to say none of the others founders found this acceptable." |
"He believed that only pure-blood wizards and witches should be allowed to attend Hogwarts which the others disagreed with. He got into an argument with Godric Gryffidor and left Hogwarts, eventually." |
*raises hand* He didn't agree with the other three because he believed that only pure-bloods should be excepted when the other three did not, and he wanted alot of dark magic to be taught unlike the others. |
