Professor Shrine caught Marcella in the act. A look of fury ran across his face. He whipped out his wand.
"Marcella, I advise you not to try that again, or else you'll have to deal with me." he said sharply, fury bubbling in his throat.
He whipped his wand toward the student that was infected, and healed her up. He gave another stern look to Marcella, then cleared his throat.
"That's really interesting guys. For me, it's Puddlemere United. Okay, so now I need some background information. From 1-10, I need your skill level, based on your own judgment in flying, and your bloodline [muggleborn, pure, or half]" | |

well, my parents are both magical, but my grandfather was a muggle. my mom played quidditch at hogwarts, and my dad did for one year, nothing outside of school though. I played over the holidays before I came here with my two older brothers. So...i guess i'm around a 5.

"Oh! Of course, you're just somewhat like Peeves, are you?" Gina smirked at Marcella.
Gina realizes her bud, Ari, from Slytherin is there also. "Ari!" She says, waving. Before she could say anymore, the professor finally spoke up.
Slowly, she raised her hand into the air. "I am half blood. Me father's a wizard, and me mum's a muggle. I have never really done any flying 'cause my brothers are both muggles and have no idea of flying/quidditch." She reeled off in one breath. "So I suppose I'm a 3." Gina lowered her hand.

wow, can't say I've ever seen a sight like this... *giving the ghost, who she knew as usually friendly, an odd look before answering the teachers' question* I'm pretty good flyer because I'm on the quidditch team, but I used to suck, so I'll say 6-7? That is when I'm being compaired to other students of course, against any real quidditch team flyer, I'd get a 1... 
*pauses for a second and then adds*

Professor Shrine called Serena to the ground. He found a huge lump in his throat. This was his first official lesson as a Professor. He had taught one before, but he just was a guest speaker. And Marcella was ruining it all for him.

"Both my parents were Seekers at Hogwarts... and I've been flying just about as long as I could walk. I could still learn alot though ... I might say I'm between a 7 & 8... but I'd like to be seeker some day as a 10!"

"Oh Ari, haha. He asked us our bloodline, our experiences of flying, and how we'd rate ourselves from 1-10 on our flying judgements." Gina always seemed to reel off so quickly.

"Okay, it seems all of you know how to fly basically, which is a big plus. I am going to have a fun little game for you now. " he said, showing it to them.
"I am going to fly up on my old Silver Arrow, dating way back. Some of you can play Quidditch, I'd guess. We're going to play catch, with a quaffle. I'll throw, gradually more difficult as time progresses, the quaffle to one of you. I will not announce the name of the person I'm throwing it to. It's easy enough to understand. Gina's stomach churned at the sound of playing a bit of quidditch. "Erm, be right back, Ari." She said, walking fast to the Professor before he flys off.
"Erm, Professor? I've got one slight problem..." Gina said, gripping a used broom from the school shed. "I, er... don't know how to fly. I've never flew on brooms before." She said, almost in a whisper not wanting the others to know.

Professor Shrine nodded at Gina and smiled.
"Sarah and Afton, I know you both play Quidditch. Would you guys please lead the group while I fix a quick problem? I'll still be here, just pass around like I explain. I really appreciate it. "
He turned to Gina and asked for her to follow him. He showed her the best school broom that he could access. He handed it to Gina. It was a Nimbus 2001.
"Okay, Gina, put one leg over the broom" he said, smiling, as he saw the astonished look on her face.
"Yes, that's it! Now, kick off slowly, and point the broon slightly towards the ground once you're in the air. This should let you hover" | |

Birdy kicks off the ground on her nimbus2000 and soars upwards. Waiting for the game to start, she does some small circles around the field. Then, she comes over to where the students are positioined. Looking down at her broom handle, she notices its dull with fingerprints all over it. She made a mental note to polish it after the lesson.

"Prof-- Professor, its working!" Gina said, delightedly as she hovers in the air.

Professor Shrine grinned. "Great job, Gina! You're almost good to go! All you need to know now is kicking off hard and actually flying through the air! Okay, Gina, kick off the ground hard! Yeah, that's it!" he encouraged, as she was raising steadily.
"Now, hold still. Alright, lean your body forward slowly, and you'll advance forward" he said, as she did it perfectly.
"Terrific! Now, thrust your body forward fast, and you'll zoom!" and she did it, perfectly once again.
"Now, remember, point your broom in the direction you want to go. And that's a wrap! Good job! You're a natural!" he said.
He leapt on his broom and zoomed up, releiving the two of their duties. He grabbed the quaffle and threw it to Gina, and saw her catch it, dead on! He smiled as she threw it back, and threw it to Birdy | |
