"Yep, loony," Nadia said, lazily taking notes about the Jelly-legs Jinx. She looked around restraining a yawn to see whom she should practice with (I even confused myself). Taking her wand in her hands, she tipped her head thinking.

*turns to her* Why, hello Sabina. Sorry, I didn't know your name. Want to be pairs? *stands to face her*

*Vicki stands up and looks around for a partner to practice the spell*
"Hmm. who shall be my partner?"

*raise hand* "Professor, might Vicky work with me and Sabina?"

"Hey Vicky, I'll be your partner. You go first...hit me with a hex." Andrew readies himself to be hit with the hex by graping two cushions and throwing them behind himself in case he falls. "Okay, I am ready."

"Is anyone still looking for a partner?" asks Willow as she finishes taking some notes.

I'll go with u Willow.

OCC: Just RP as if I'm here if I'm not, I don't care, just don't make me do anything stupid, I'm pretty good at dueling, lol.

"Great! I'll go first then?" Willow draws her wand and prepares to try out the jinx. Once Lightstar is ready, Willow does the wand movement and says "Gelatinus". Almost immediately you can see Lightstars' legs begin to wobble.

Lightstar takes aim and gives the counter spell, "Finite Incantatum". She reverses Willow's jinx easily. "Your turn," says Lightstar "Are you ready?"

"Sure am," says Willow "But just remember I'm a first year, so go easy on me."

Lightstar grins, points her wand at Willow and says "Gelatinus".

Willow begins to feel her legs wobble and she can barely stay up. Finally, she takes aim and utters "Finite Incantatem". When nothing happened, she tried again "Finite Incantatem", still nothing. Finally, her legs give and she falls to the ground. "Could you help me out Lightstar?"


"Sure," giggles Lightstar "don't move now." She points her wand at Willow and says "Finite Incantatum". Almost instantly, the wobbling sensation faded away and Willow was able to stand again.

"Thanks Light!"

"Anytime Willow. Shall we go again?"

Anyone wanna be my partner? *looks around teh room...*

Eric gave her a smile. "If you don't mind, I'll be your partner."

"Thanks Andrew :sorcerer: ! You're the best! Ok, here I go. Gelatinus!"

(ooc: sorry I had to go my sis had to go on)

*Vicki looks at him and hopes he is alright*

"Are you ok?"

Andrew is hit with Vicky's Jelly Legs spell. He feels his legs start to lose their muscle controls and he starts to fall with a thud onto the pillows. "Wow that felt weird, Vicky," Andrew says. Looking down he sees his legs bent as odd angles. He straightens them before performing "Finite Incantatum"

After giving his leg a moment or two to recovery Andrew stands up. "Alright now, ready for your turn at some Jelly Legs?" he asks Vicky. "We better switch where we were standing so you can land on the pillows."

"Say the word when you're ready" Andrew says.

*titles head* "OK, Sabina, I will take that as a yes. I will go first... But, ah, first, wait, I need to ask a question -

"Professor, we already practiced this spell with another name - I mean, it was the Jelly-Legs Jinx, but the incantation was Gelatina (jel-ah-TEE-na). Is there two incantations for the same spell? I remember because its pronunciation is the same than in Spanish."

*turns to Sabina* "Still I think I will try this new incantation and see if it works the same, here I go -

"Gelatinus!" Nadia shouted.

"Yes, Nadia, different Wizards occasionally will have varying ways of producing the same spell with a slightly different incantation."

ooc note: LOL... I didn't know a previous prof had done this, and they didn't save the classes back then. We'll all just have to work under the premise that the slate is wiped clean with a new professor in case I have to make anything else up that isn't specifically in canon.

"I see that many of you have mastered the Jelly-Legs Jinx. You can continue with that one or you and your partner may move on to Tarantallegra now. I shall continue to circulate among you."

ooc: uh, I thought it was you the one that said the spell was Gelatina, but if not then the notes are from the previous term before you were appointed, sorry. But I like that premise :)


"OK, professor," Nadia nodded. Then she returned her attention to Sabina. "How are you feeling? I am going to remove the spell from you now. Finite Incantatum!"

Her legs stopped wobbling. Then she said, "Can I try the Tarantallegra before and then you try the Jelly-Legs Jinx and Tarantallegra both?"

Then something clicked and she needed asking a new question. "Professor, this I never tried, what is the pronunciation for the Tarantallegra spell? With stress in the 'eh'? And the wand movement is...?"

*nods* "I see, so they must be connected somehow, having to do with lighting-bolt wand movements, mmh... thank you, professor."

*facing Sabina* "Let's try it now; I will cast Tarantallegra on you, then you put both Tarantallegra and Gelatinus on me. Ready?

"Tarantallegra!"

"Vicky, since this is the same spell we did before I am only going to practice the Jelly Legs Hex or Jinx, oh whatever you want call to it, once." Andrew says "You ready, there?"

"Yes, I am ready," say Vicky as she spots herself in front of the pillows.

Andrew slashed his wand through the air in a practice motion to make sure he understands the loose lighting bolt figuration. He looks at Vicky as bows. He then calls, ""Gelatinus!"

He watches as the spell hits his partner. At first it seems as if the spell didn't work she just took as step back then suddenly her legs began to wobble and she said "OH, NO!!!" as she falls backwards onto the pillows. Andrew giggled because the sight of someone's legs suddenly becoming like two wet noddles was quite funny.

"Okay, there Vicky," Andrew asked as he watched Vicky trying to stand. "Errrr....I think you need to use the Finite Incantatum Charm to end the jinx before you're going to able to stand again."

Vicky performs the charm to end the jinx. "Ready to move on, Andrew?" she asks.

"Sure thing" he says.

I think one more time couldn't hurt! *says Sarah, happy that Willow was having such a good time with this*

Tarantellegra! *she shouts, pointing her wand near willow's legs, and doing a fast lightning bolt shape*

*Willow begins to wobble uncontrollably. Sarah laughs to herself, and quickly finishes it off* Finite Incantatem!

U think we should end there? U can try on me once more if you would like!

"Oh, yes please." said Willow. "How is the pronunciation for the cancellation spell?"

"Finite Incantatum" said Sarah.

"Thanks. Here we go!" Willow made the lightning bolt wand movement and exclaimed "Tarantallegra".

As Sarahs' legs danced uncontrollably, Willow again raised her wand at Sarah.
"Finite Incantatum!" To her amazement, Sarahs' legs began to stop dancing. "Wow! I can't believe I got it right. Thanks for your help Sarah."

"Sure thing." said Sarah, "I think we've got it now, don't you?"

"Yeah, I think we're done. Thanks for partnering with me!"

"Anytime."

Laura looks around at the other members of the class. "Would someone like to be my partner? "
