Professor Rae opened the door to her classroom and went first to the window. The weather was wet, dark, and gloomy, and she was glad they were spending the day inside, instead of wasting a beautiful afternoon like the previous class period. She pulled the drapes closed across the window, shutting out the dark sky, before turning and lighting all the candles in the room with a wave of her wand. They winked cheerily, but it was still a bit gloomy.
With another wave, the professor moved all the desks to the back of the room and replaced those seats with squishy poofs and cushions reminiscent of her days in Professor Trelawney's classroom. At last, she laughed to herself, she had found a real use from those long hours.She turned to her desk and whisked it clean of the cluttered paperwork before perching on top of it to wait for her students. | |

"Typically, we will be trying to do something that involves wand usage in here, but when we are learning about dark magic, sometimes you can NOT use wands. I want to talk to you about the Unforgivable Curses today, and you most certainly have no need for your wands."
"Now, who can tell me ONE Curse?"

The Imperius Curse is controlled by commanding the other person's mind. For example:
Adam thinks: Crawl around the room as if you are a baby.
The victim does exactly that.
Some people can become resistant to the power of the Imperius Curse.

Kay raises her hand. "The wizard who cast the spell can make the victim do anything that they (spell caster) wish because the victim is under that wizard's complete control. If the wizard wishes you to walk towards them, you will. If they tell you to jump off a cliff, you will. I've heard that you can combat the curse, but that it's better to be vigilant and avoid getting hit with it in the first place."

Umm prof i have a question isn't the Dark Mark ( Morsmordre) curse now banned. So there fore if you perform it and yoiu get sent to azkaban so therefore isn't it an aunforgetable curse?

"The only way you would know that curse is if you were a Death Eater. So that's why you'll get sent to Azkaban if you preform it. But it does scare any wizard or witch that sees it....and any muggle would wonder for a while. It is punishable for preforming it...but it's not considered an unforgivable curse." she explains then screws up her face, "right professor?"
