| | Back Cars If you want to be the last to leave or want to hang with the more rowdy crowd, then the back passenger cars of the train are for you. Just like the other cars, a long corridor provides access to the many compartments, each labelled with a letter, available for you and your friends to hunker down in until the train has come to a complete stop. Cushioned seats and large windows, allowing perfect views of the British scenery on your journey, await.
Well, what are you waiting for? Slide open a compartment door and make yourself at home. Place any of your belongings not in the luggage car on the racks above you. Chat with your friends about what your summer plans, enjoy munching on the snacks you bought from the trolley lady, get ahead of the game by exchanging addresses, or take a long nap as the train travels over numerous hills and mountainsides. Whatever you do, exhibit your best behaviour -- the prefects will be regularly patrolling the corridors and poking their heads inside your compartment to make sure you are doing so.

| an open post if anyone wants to rp ^^ A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
After placing his trunk away and finding a compartment at the back of the train, Daniel tossed his bag on the couch before he sat down with a loud sigh. Another summer without being able to use magic and he was not excited about it. Like during Christmas, the Hufflepuff thought that they should have a choice between staying at Hogwarts or going home for the summer holiday. He grabbed his bag and placed it on the other side of him before moving over to sit next to the window and peeked outside as the train flew past the landscape. "Just two months... you can do this" he mumbled to himself as he closed his eyes and crossed his arms in front of his chest.

Serena had missed most of the feast simply because emotions were on the loose. Not her emotions. Those are kept locked away in a chest at the bottom of the Atlantic. The older students leaving had theirs on the loose, amongst the younger ones saying goodbyes. Not her cup of tea.
She still saw some of that out on the platform and even in some compartments, which she avoided going into. That is how she ended up in the compartment of maybe the most emotionless person, second to her. "Two months of what," she asked after hearing Half-Batman mumble.
Hi, Half-Batman.

Hi, Half-Batman. He had heard the door of the compartment slid open but Daniel had not bothered to open his eyes to see who had joined him. It was only when he heard a girl's voice that he moved to pinch the bridge of his nose to showcase that he was irritated already.
He opened up his eyes and had to take a second to adjust them to the light above him before turning his gaze at Serena. If people thought that he was apathetic, then he was just a prince. She was the queen. It did bother him though, being labelled as such though. It wasn't that he never showed his emotions. Because he did but he was careful not to wear them on his sleeves.
With half of the student population at Hogwarts currently crying and telling their goodbyes to their friends, Daniel was silently pleased that it was Serena who had entered his compartment. "Without magic" he sighed "It's ridiculous. It's as if they don't trust us at all"

"Without magic" he sighed "It's ridiculous. It's as if they don't trust us at all" Ha. Daniel wasn't happy she blessed him with her presence, but considering the rest of the train, he was her best choice right now. Serena closed the door and sat on the empty seat.
He did have a valid point there. Two months without magic was going to be AWFUL. Her fingers already itched for her wand, and it was only going to get worse with each day that passes. Serena let out a sigh as she brushed her hands over her skirt. "They don't trust us," she enforced. "It's unfair, really. If we were able to practice magic during the summer we'd be a lot more advanced." Imagine that. They'd be powerful wizards by the end of their seventh year.

That was exactly what bothered him about the summer holidays and the fact that they couldn't practice magic during that time. He had worked hard on his spellwork for the majority of the year but not being able to practise for two months was going to be a major set back. If only he had planted the Pharaoh's Triumph. Then he would have become more powerful without having to wait for summer holidays to be over. "Exactly. At least let us use magic in our own houses. My parents are muggles but of course they know about magic so what is the problem?!"
He stood up from his seat as he heard scratching sounds at the door and opened it up to let his black cat inside. "There you are" he mumbled before he picked her up and sat back down with the cat on his lap. "Any plans this summer?" He asked without really caring for the answer.
