Ravenclaw Window Seat

__________________________________graphics by hermionesclone

Surrounding the Common Room are beautiful, arched windows. These windows are decorated with silk drapery and overlook the beautiful Hogwarts’ grounds. They also provide the perfect spot to find a muse, whether it take form in writing poetry, creating music, or painting. It’s the perfect place to let your Ravenclaw creativity thrive.

Along the window that overlooks the beautiful Scottish mountains, there’s a padded window seat. The padded seat is made comfortable with generous cushioning charms and is even heated during the winter months. We might be biased, but this space is definitely the best nook to get your reading done. Maybe you need a quiet corner to catch up on your studies or maybe you’re a few pages from completing your yearly reading goal. Whatever the occasion, may this little window seat serve your needs.

There are plenty of books on the shelves lining the room, so grab one that tickles your fancy and make yourself comfy.

Hogwarts was really pretty especially when the sun was starting to rise. She decided she couldn’t sleep anymore even after trying to cover her head with her comfy pillow to soften the noise. So she got up and grabbed her dream journal and headed to the window seat in the common room. She didn’t even bother fixing her hair completely (not that she needed to because it was as straight and thin as dry angel hair pasta).

Lisa sat in the padded window seat curled up with bright pink fuzzy socks (a Christmas present) and in Stitch pajamas as she watched the sun begin to rise. She snuggled further into the seat because it was so warm and …. Niiice. She blinked her eyes, fighting away the sleep as best as she could so that she enjoy the sunrise. The colours painted across the night to morning sky grew warmer and warmer and the light even bled onto the mountains in the distance and the lake.

As the sun began to rise, she passed out.

She woke up in the same room but it was raining now. The skies were cloud covered and the rain was hard. Thunder rolled and lightening cracked, lighting up the entire sky. The door to the common room burst open and these hooded figures walked in. “You. Nam!” they said as they grabbed her. “You’re coming with us.

What? What did I do?” she asked as a spell was cast, silencing her voice. She even lifted her wand up but someone took it from her.

They escorted her out of the room with a few other Ravenclaws until she found Evan down the corridor with her sister, Maya. They were also with the weird hooded figures. She mouthed their names and tried to run to hug them but couldn't as the Hooded Figures separated them. She looked to her left and saw a few friends standing behind them. She didn’t have much time to do anything else as the group was marched to the Courtyard.

At the courtyard, the pillar was restored and that awful THING was there. This strange man walked out, addressing the group, and Lisa glanced to her right. Where were her friends? She spotted Daniel glaring. She slipped away from her siblings to stand next to him. She opened her mouth to speak and then the head honcho looked at her. She froze in her steps as a spell was whipped towards her and she JUMPED. A bright light blinded her.

She jumped awake and found herself back in the Ravenclaw common room with her journal on the floor. Her heart raced and she sat up completely, grabbing a pillow to hug it tightly. Breathe. Breathe. Just breathe.

Once her pulse was settled, she began writing. She had read too much about what had happened last year.
