 In close proximity to the library lies the study hall. Whether you are a first year or a seventh year, a Gryffindor or a Slytherin, a boy or a girl, this room is the best place to go for your studying and homework completion needs. If you ever find yourself stuck on something or have no clue what you're doing, you can always ask those who you are studying with for help or the professor that is overseeing the study session.
Scattered around the room are groups of desks that make it perfect for you and your friends to collaboratively work together. Average-sized oil lamps have been strategically placed on the desks to create a calm, comfortable environment. In a neat pile in the centre of the desks are extra quills, bottles of ink, and spare parchment should you need it -- just remember to leave the quills and ink at the table and only use what you need for parchment. Under the windows a long bookshelf containing a copy of textbooks for each class can be found, which you are welcome to use during your time in this room.

So far his classes for the term had been interesting and brought up plenty of interesting ideas, but it seemed each idea always made him rabbit trail into something else he wanted to look up. Which was brought him here to study hall. He pulled out his parchment list of things he wanted to study more in his own time and... stared at it. He was excited for knowledge and yet..
He had no idea where to start.

He had no idea where to start. Misa looked around. At least the study hall looked similar to what she was used to. She found an emptier table and rapped lightly on it with her knuckle. "This seat taken?" she asked the boy sitting there.

"At least I learned Latin based spells." It would be terrible trying to learn a new language on top of all of this transfer stuff.

"What are you working on?" He wasn't actually expecting an answer, but didn't mind the conversation. He really was committed to pushing his comfort zone more this term and try to make connections and conversation with other students. So far... it seemed to be going well? "Oh, did you recently transfer then?" An obvious question, why else would she be trying to catch up? "Are the systems of education really that different?"
Were there other based spells other than the latin? Evan quickly added that to his list because he was curious to look into the others now as well. "Thank goodness for small silver linings? If it's ever helpful you can look over my old notes? I only have years one and two," since only a third year now, "but I keep them pretty organized it should be easy for at a glance?"
He looked back down at his list and stared again, before shaking his head. "I have a list of things I'm just curious to know more about but... I haven't decided which one to research into first." Decisions were hard.

O.W.Ls year was no joke given the amount of work for Darius to complete. He just needed a quick nap in between all the studying. The year was somewhat promising despite some of his suspicions. He got a part in the school play which was exciting and all, but school work had to be taken care of as well.
So sitting at a vacant area with some books piled around, an open book was his current pillow for a little break. Luckily the drool wasn't present in the pages he breathed in.
