| | Fourth-Floor Corridor The fourth floor is the quietest floor in all of Hogwarts. Those who have been here long enough and know the layout know this as an obvious fact because the primary features of this floor are the Library and Study Hall. To soften your steps as you make your way around, a carpet drapes the entire floor of the corridor. Remember to keep your voice at a whisper because there's important studying going on in this part of the castle!
You will find large green vases placed in the corners of the corridor as well as a number of portraits. There really isn't anything exciting about the vases, though Peeves is known to pick them up and throw them at unsuspecting passersby -- it is strongly advised that you always stay alert. As for the portraits, you will likely notice right away that most of them are of peaceful landscapes. Nevertheless, you will eventually come across Brutus Scrimgeour (author of The Beaters' Bible), Hengist of Woodcraft (founder of Hogsmeade), and Edward Rabnott (a wizard with three different personalities).

| Made of Awesome | Ern-la the Best-wa | TZ's Apogee Maybe this was the quietest stretch of Hogwarts, but that made it perfect for study breaks. The carpet was thick and soft beneath her, and Phoebe was wrapped in a thick cardigan to keep the cold of the wall from soaking through to her shoulders.
Was she studying? No, she was actually stuffing her face with stolen popcorn from the kitchens and reading one of the romance novels that Luna had given her over the summer. But a sixth year had very little to worry about with NEWTs a year off and OWLs finally behind her, and this sixth year wanted a BREAK.

Over the river and through the woods, to deliver a parcel he flies!
Letter and accompanying small parcel attached to his leg address to a "Phoebe James", Furmagoat zipped around the outside of Hogwarts castle and zoomed through one window and out the other in search for today's intended recipient. His feathers were in a bit of a disarray, almost as though the tawny owl were moulting despite the season being long behind them now.
Screeching when he spots this particular teenager, he swooped through the nearest window and landed beside the girl...to which he became instantly distracted by the popcorn she was enjoying. Letting out another short screech, Furmagoat began pecking at the popcorn too. Hopefully his beak would not come in contact with any fingers while he sampled.

"Oh, hey, bud," Phoebe dropped a handful of popcorn in front of her legs, trying to attract the bird just close enough to retrieve the parchment attached to his leg. Who would send her an owl? Her friends had those mirrors that Tavie gave them, and her parents would use an owl she already knew.
Maybe it was a love note? She could really use a love note right about now. "Listen, if you're bringing me bad news, I really don't need that right now. And if you're bringing me punishment, I really really don't need that. So can you consider all those things before you complete delivery of this letter?" She gave him more popcorn and retrieved the parchment.

She gave him more popcorn and retrieved the parchment. Despite the silly human girl trying to give excuses as to why Furmgoat ought not to deliver the letter and parcel (which, even if the contents did fit the criteria was out of the question), the little owl hovered over the ground near her and then touched down with another small shrieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek.
It was a shriek that meant she was to take the letter and little parcel. It was another shriek reprimanding her for the accusation that he would invade customer privacy and know the contents of what he delivered! Furmgoat took his position very seriously, ma'am. He had not earned his more reliable badge a hundred times over for nothing! She should be cautious from here on out or else her hair may receive some new décor!
Bobbing his head up and down, the tawny owl stuck his leg out and waited. Quote:
Phoebe -
Hey! Hope Hogwarts is treating you well. Owls can get to and from the place still so...so far so good, right? Anyway...you remember that thing I told you about over the summer? That thing that was an exciting thing but I didn't want to reveal all the details thing because I was afraid of jinxing it thing? Yeah. That thing. Well...that THING happened and I wanted you to have one of the first copies. It's signed too...which may be tacky since I'm still a nobody to the majority of the music industry minus the studio I work with and the manager and the couple of people we spoke to over at the WWN and whatever about playing it...but my first single is finished. Like...I DID it, Phoebe! It's just wild and I am totally going to pass out hearing it on the WWN. Hopefully you'll be able to patch me up again if I knock my head or something. You're still pursuing healing things, right? You're a natural at it, so I hope you are!
So, yeah! Here is my single and...I hope you like it. There should be something you can play it in in the common room...but when in doubt, try the Room of Requirement?
Hope you're well. Miss being around your spunk! If you are going home for the holiday break...hit me up. Maybe we can hang.
- Josh Furmgoat waited with WIDE and expecting eyes.
