THUD.

She had made a decent landing, and on her feet! Remy had landed one foot on the bullseye and one foot off, not bad! She wobbled a little on the spot but managed to stay upright, and was pretty pleased with that. The Gryffindor lifted a foot to see just how sticky this charm was, and it felt weird, but super cool. Remy grinned excitedly.

Now the next task was more like it, it sounded like it was going to be a BLAST. Remy slowly moved her sticky feet towards where the Professor was stood to retrieve the black balloons. Of course she was going to stock up on those. Hehehe…

Remy decided on being in orange team, and she readied herself to climb the walls. This was more fun than… than… ANYTHING SHE HAD DONE IN HER LIFE. The first year tapped her feet once again, to make sure the spell would really stick. See what we did there. “Digiti Viscosi,” she cast confidently.

After her swinging success, Remy felt no nervousness about climbing the wall and went straight for it. She giggled as she started to walk sideways. It was a very strange feeling to do so. She soon came across an orange balloon and popped it easily, flinching as it popped.

No, obviously Violet hadn't remembered that--why couldn't she concentate properly this term? But before she could attempt another practice try, she heard the teacher starting the main activity. At least that didn't involve swinging through space. Violet was confident in her use of the spell and felt pretty good about walking up the walls (and maybe across the ceiling, though she didn't like the idea of hanging upside down).

On her way to a wall, she passed by Professor Peralta and grabbed a couple of the black balloons--just in case, you know. She didn't feel confident trying to carry more, since she needed her hands to pop balloons.

Joining the Teal team (the least objectionable color, in her opinion), she started up a wall of balloons, popping two teal ones on her way to the ceiling.

Claudine had actually tried the swing thing thrice in total by the time Peralta had called for their attention again. Just look at all the balloons! She was instantly attracted to the pink ones, pink being her favourite colour. Her gaze was fixated on them as she listened to the outline of this final activity. It all seemed easy enough, and loads of fun.

The Snakette grabbed three black balloons. Two were held between her left arm and chest while the third was actually clutched in her left hand. She’d be needing her right one for using her wand. She moved to one of the walls. “Digiti Viscosi.” Double taps on each foot? Yes.

Keeping her eyes peeled for any black balloons heading her way as she carefully headed for the first pink balloon in sight. With her free hand, Claudine popped one. POP!

This activity sounded fantastic and, what could be eventually, a little bit chaotic maybe; which just added more fun to it in Kayne's opinion. He was thrilled that the class would be getting to do an actually fun activity. Typically, in the majority of classes, Kayne didn't have as much fun with the activities that they did. This on the other hand, was gonna be a blast. And when the Professor said that they could throw water balloons at others, he knew that he would be doing just that. It was the most mischievous of the options after all.

Casually walking over to where the water balloons have been placed, Kayne casted the spell on himself again. "Digiti Viscosi!" He said, the blue translucent light wrapping around his feet once again. After the charm had been placed upon his feet, the boy picked up as many balloons as he could carry, and swiftly ran up the one wall.

Joining the pink team, the kid looked around to see which other team was currently in the lead. It had appeared to be the teal team. So that's just exactly who Kayne would go after. He wanted to win after all, and seeing that pink only had one balloon popped so far, he definitely needed to slow down the competition somehow. Lining up a shot with the balloon, Kayne waited for the precise moment in which he should throw the balloon at Violet's feet. Seeing his opportunity, Kayne tossed the balloon, adding "Bomb's away!" The water balloon then went hurdling through the air. Hopefully, it would hit it's target.

It hadn’t taken long for Remy to scope out her first victim. She noticed that Slytherin boy who had annoyed her in a recent Muggle Studies class had just thrown a balloon at someone. He seemed like the perfect target for her own black balloon. She took a few more steps up the wall, to get a little more height, and readied herself.

She aimed carefully and threw the balloon at Kayne’s feet, hoping to despell his sticky feet. Remy had a bad feeling about the pink team beating her team, anyway, so it was a perfect selection.

Remy got ready to carry on moving because she had a feeling that Kayne would retaliate.

Kayne became a bit too distracted by throwing one of his own balloons to realize that one was being thrown right at him! It wasn't until the last second that he tried to scurry away when it hit his feet, causing the stickiness to wear off. Before he could tell he was about to fall, the hazel eyed boy quickly swatted at one of the pink balloons on the wall in order to pop it, now tying up the teams. After the balloon had popped, Kayne quickly back flipped mid-air in order to not land right on his face. Regardless of whether or not the ground had been charmed to sponge up the fall, landing on his head was still not something that he had intended on doing. Plus the backflip just added some more style to what he was doing.

Eyes darting back and forth to see who had done that, Kayne's eyes landed upon Remy. She must've still been mad because of Muggle Studies. In the boy's defense, she was the one that started it by almost making that snarky remark; something that he just didn't really appreciate. Waving his wand, Kayne quickly dried off his feet with the hot air spell. Soon, the boy would gain his revenge, but now was not that time. He would need to wait until Remy wasn't expecting retaliation.

Black balloons were flying. Yes, they were. So far, no one was aiming for her though. This was a good thing. Advantage could be taken of this fact. Her wand was swapped for one of the three black balloons in her possession. Now… who to take aim of? Who was not on her team? Claudine quickly surveyed everyone and her gaze fastened on Remy. A perfect target.

The sixth year took aim in the Gryffindor’s direction and let the balloon fly. She didn’t stand around doing nothing though. Nope, for she slowly continued on her way with the pretense of looking for more pink balloons to pop while observing Remy out of her peripheral vision.

Was her shot a hit or a miss?

Now that his feet were finally dry, it was time for Kayne to get back into things. Taking notice that his teammate had already taken the liberty of throwing one of the water balloons at Remy, he would use this opportunity to just go all out on popping the balloons. Feet still thankfully charmed, Kayne ran up the one wall again, popping a balloon as he almost reached the ceiling.

Then, Kayne made his way to the side that was opposite from the other Slytherin girl (Claudine), so that way they could cover more ground and pop balloons quicker. As he made his way over there, he stepped on another balloon with force, causing it to make a loud POP sound.

Digiti Viscosi, Digiti Viscosi, Digiti Viscosi...

Ivy had practiced the pronunciation several times. It was a little bit of a mouthful but also fun to say too. And once she was comfortable with it, she tried it with the wand movement. Double tap on each foot. That was definitely the easy part.

She hadn't been super accurate with her swinging, not once getting close to the bullseye of the target, but her spell had worked...after the first two attempts at least. Those first two times, she'd slipped right off and onto the floor, so thank Merlin it was cushioned.

But now a team activity! And Ivy was of course picking the Purple Team. She would always choose the team that was her favorite color.

"Digiti Viscosi." Double tap on each foot again. She grabbed a couple black balloons before heading up, pleased that her feet stuck easily to the wall. No falling for her! And so she made her way over to a purple balloon. The two black balloons she moved to one hand, which allowed her free hand to grab the purple one and pop it.

One down, and...however many more to go. Let's go, Purple Team!

So far, so good. Neva watched with a hint of a smile, noting which students took to the charm straight away, and which were having a little more trouble getting the hang of walking up the walls. It was an odd thing to experience, but a fun one too.

Noting that the black balloons had come into play, the Charms Professor casually used her wand to send two into the air with impressive speed. She wasn't aiming at anyone in particular, just trying to make the game a little more interesting. Don't mind her.

SCORE!! Her balloon had made impact. She was starting to think more and more that she should be a beater on the Quidditch team. She imagined it would get rid of a lot of stored up anger. Ahem… not that she had TOO much of that. Remy returned her attention to the balloons, and was trying to be as quick as possible especially since it seemed other students had chosen different coloured teams. Was she the only person on the orange team? How was that fair??

With this in mind, Remy popped two more orange balloons and was in the ZONE. So much in the zone, that she did not notice a balloon being thrown at her.

It was a bullseye and hit her right in the ankles. The Gryffindor looked up, scowling at the person responsible. Could they not see that she was a one man band here?? A sixth year was responsible!?!! Picking on a first year. Remy would remember this forever, Claudine.

Heath’s dark head whipped around at the sound of Professor Peralta’s clapping. He acknowledged her approval with a nod and a slight smile. Okay, so… getting down from the target. He took a small cautious step, then another slightly bigger one, and another… Whoa, this was so weird! The good kind of weird. Walking down from the wall made him feel like Spider-man! As his feet touched the floor once more, he made his way to the swing to have another go at the target, but before he could sit on the swing, they were moving on to the next activity. Darn!

He listened to the directions, his dark eyes darting to the wall covered in balloons as Professor Peralta mentioned them. So they were to use the sticky toes charm to climb the walls and ceiling to pop the balloons? Sounded straightforward enough… until the mention of the water balloons. Merlin, he hoped he wouldn’t get hit with any of those! Despite the floor being cushioned, he still didn’t want to fall and embarrass himself in front of everyone!

He went to the front to retrieve some black water balloons. Holding three of them by their ties in his left hand, he debated which team to join. Of the choice, teal was his favorite color, but the girlfriend was on the pink team. No way was he working against her, even for a class activity, so pink team it was! He carefully scaled the wall, taking a moment to get used to his surroundings. Yep, still felt weird to walk on the walls! Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted a pink balloon to his right and squeezed it as hard as he could until it popped.

As Heath’s eyes scanned the way ahead, he saw a couple more pink balloons close together and beelined in that direction. Just before he got near enough to pop either of them, a water balloon sailed through the air and burst at his feet. Blink, blink. Where did that come from? He looked but couldn’t find the culprit. Anyway, he had more important things to worry about, like the stickiness wearing off his feet. Was his charm going to hold? He cautiously lifted a foot. It still stuck to the wall ,but the hold definitely wasn’t as strong as before. He’d have to be careful! One more water balloon, and he’d be on the ground!

Claudine didn't remember the rules of the game specifying that they limit their targets to students in their particular year. She smirked when the balloon hit Remy's ankles and continued on her quest, completely unbothered. A glance opposite to where she was working showed Kayne there. He was on her team so Claudine flashed him a grin.

Spotting another pink balloon, she reached out and quickly popped it. Of course the popping sound did not phase her as Claudine was prepared for it. What she was unprepared for was a black balloon smashing into her feet. Annoyed, she didn’t even bother looking for the culprit and proceeded to use the Hot Air Charm to dry herself.

Was it wrong to be pleased when water balloons you’d tossed at your students didn’t miss or? Neva tried not to look too pleased as she casually moved around the room, watching their progress and updating the scores every so often. Next time maybe she’d play, too. She wasn’t a fan of missing all the fun.

Glancing down at her watch, the Charms Professor noted that it was time to wrap things up. If she let them wait any longer, they’d be late to their next class, and she was trying to make friends on the staff, so that just wouldn’t do.

”That’s time, everyone! Please walk down onto the floor and then you can end your spell!” As for which team won... Pink team, it appears you’re our victors today! Congratulations!” She gave a brief, but appropriate round of applause for their hard work. ”Once you’ve put your shoes back on, you’re dismissed!” And then she’d get started on the clean-up.
