You're not on the ground floor, not in the basement and in fact not in the upper corridors of the dungeon either. No, this room is buried deep down in the castle, beyond Merlin's eye if you will. So far down, you hear no sounds, not even the scampering of rats.
This room has been magically extended to fit the brood that will be locked away and forgotten and left intentionally bare besides.
Guards are posted outside the room, changing at irregular intervals. Others guard the rooms on either side of this one to prevent any bright ideas...not that any are expected. At this point, if the students haven't learned better, they will earn themselves a one way ticket to the other side. Free of cost, first class, red eye flight and everything.
Welcome to your new life, you have some of your classmates to thank for that, and some of you have your family.
Throughout this room, you are plagued with the feeling you are being watched. It's an eerie feeling you can't shake...except maybe in the corners.
This is how this works:
Quote:
Students will be taken out twice a day for sunlight and fresh air. This will always be supervised (a little like when you have to take your cruppy for a walk) and will occur at 12pm then at 4 pm.
Meals will be had IN this room. All meals, no exceptions. The Great Hall needs the extra space anyway.
Students will be escorted to and from lessons. Guards will collect them and usher them from class to class. At the end of the last class--and during meal times--they will be taken back to the room. Running is not encouraged but if you're that tired of being here, understand the Headmaster is doubly so and will happily oblige.
Bathroom trips will be done in monitored groups. These will be at regular intervals so you'd best hold it until the next trip. Bath times are separate and will be monitored differently.
The door is guarded day and night, as are the rooms on either side. Guards are not posted IN the room itself.
Wands are collected and returned upon entering and leaving the rooms (where they are collected about returning and given back upon leaving for classes--not for walks).
OOC: If you wish to play your students out during one of the "walks", please understand you MUST assume they are being supervised and on time constraints. They wouldn't be allowed free roam but wouldn't be stopped from talking with peers depending on the subject matter. The alliance is always watching.
If you would like to know if your charrie would be on this list: reported troublemakers (this would’ve had to be played in the field trip thread and not assumed), and those with muggle heritage (muggleborn, one muggle parent or possessing a muggle grandparent, nothing further back than grandparents) are the ones who have been taken in. If you want to assume your charrie kicked up a fuss and got thrown in here, you must run it by me (DaniDiNardo) first, as depending on what you say they did, they may get a different punishment entirely.
He would give the students who told him they didn't have their wands the benefit of the doubt. Surely, with everything going on, they would not lie. Equally, if they were lying, he would find out soon enough. The man simply nodded them into the room. The wands handed over were put into the box.
When the last of them got inside, he spoke. "The elves will be along with your trunks," So they could be properly dressed and ready for their lessons. "They merely need to go through a bit of...inspection." Just a bit of ransacking. "You may pick a spot and put your trunk there. Call it your own little space. It's as much as you'll get." There were no beds, they would have to find their own comfort.
"Meals will be had in here, but you will be escorted out for lessons, bathroom breaks and fresh air." Just enough to keep them alive should they make useful bargaining chips later.
"Welcome to your new home. This is it." And with that, he turned and left, his men shutting the door behind him. Not once did he look at Williamson. He did not care what became of the man and had ample replacements on hand.
Ash rolled over to face Claudine after some time. Sleeping had not been productive. "Claudine? Can our spots be next to each other?" Preferably far away from Emmerson. Her eyes weren't pleading. Her eyes were just eyes. They were just empty. She had brown eyes. That was about it. She spoke up again, quietly, still lying staring straight in the direction of wherever her eyes were pointing. "Do you think I can still have markers? I wanna draw something on my arms." She rolled onto her back and sighed. "When I grow up, I'm gonna have markers whenever I want." Namely, whenever she was doing mentally badly. "I'm gonna draw stripes. On my arm. They're gonna be red and blue stripes, Claudine." She knew she sounded crazy, and also like someone who was currently dying, but she had hope and she was gonna cling to it. "Diagonal stripes." Her voice sounded all small and sad. She just wanted markers. She also wanted her best friend, but that was out of the question. Also, she sounded all wrong. Like someone who was not gonna grow up talking about what they would do when they grow up. Didn't make logical sense, did it? But nobody could judge her for believing.

Rosier spoke to them again, explaining the rules one more time before leaving them all alone in this room. Noah found his feet moving quicker than his own thoughts and hit his fist against the nearest wall out of frustration. This was dragon..... NO! Worse than that. Ugh. He couldn’t find the right word for it which made him even more upset.
They were losing... there was no fairy tale. No happy ending. Just despair and....
He felt his eyes grew wetter with the realization and blinked away the tears before glancing around the room. His eyes halted on a few first years before on his fellow seventh year.... this was it? He chuckled quietly to himself, remembering what Minjae and he had joked about seventh year being the worst year back over the summer. Oh how those words haunted them now in this moment...... It was the end, wasn’t it? They had lost?
NO!! This is what they wanted. This is what Rosier wanted to strip them of their humanity and make them nothing but worms beneath his feet that he could crush in the dirt. He would not..... but if they didn’t comply... they’d never survive or see their siblings.... Who was he kidding? They probably weren’t going to make it home at this rate. No. No. Cant think that way.
He removed his hand from the wall and ran it through his hair (still a nervous habit he retained even in times of distress) as he made his way back over to the group of students around WWW. They were attempting to flip him over. “Careful now... I can help too.” he spoke quietly to the girls near there (Kinsay, Phoebe, Avalon, Louise, and Violet). Before he made haste to help, he overheard the younger years talking about sleeping arrangements and markers which brought a smile and more tears to his eyes. He missed his younger siblings. ;_; He wouldn’t be there to protect them. He turned his gaze away and back to WWW. Ahem. Focus.....

Gosh. Rosier would really look better with a shoe hurtling toward his face, huh? Kale knew that for a fact, as he'd done it at the start of the term. So much had changed since then. But the hatred remained. He wasn't sure if it would ever go away.
Likely was he was in this dingy cave.
With a kiss to his sister's head, he looked at the rest of the room and his wearied peers. The younger kids cracked his chest wide open. "Okay," he said, as the door shut. "Older kids, we should pool what cloaks and things we have and create a cuddle pile to keep warm until the trunks arrive." It wasn't a long-term solution, but it would be an adequate stop gap. "Everyone is going to be okay," he reassured the room.
Then he crossed over to where Phoebe and MF and a few others were gathered around Williamson. "We should keep him on his side in case he vomits." Kale had caught the nasty end of a cruciatus curse once and it nearly made him vomit. If WWW heaved, he'd wanna be on his side.

Claim a spot.
Done. Corner spot claimed. Eden didn't move when Kale Trent spoke - his cuddle pile would have to get by without her. She'd rather eat the pile of dust and cobwebs next to her than partake.
She wasn't going to check on Williamson, either. She felt a pang of guilt over that decision, but Eden wasn't in the mood for trying to interact with so many people, especially so many Gryffindors. She'd stay here and do her thing. Stare at a wall. Ignore the kids having full-blown meltdowns over this.
For now, the wheels turning in Eden's head became occupied with how she would set her space up. It was about as deep as she could think right now without poking at her anger. The first step would be to clean it, and then she'd make a nice sweater! pillow. If her thread was still in her trunk when the house elves brought it down she'd make a little friendship bracelet wall hanging and some cute things for the people she liked. Maybe Quinn would let her do his nails? Or Ashley could teach her how to draw?
While her mind was trying to go to a happy place, her facial expression remained...vacant. Uncharacteristically hard and expressionless. Heaven help anyone who tried to sit directly next to her (luckily her neighbor on one side would be the WALL) besides Quinn or another phoeven.
Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.
So they were going to get their things? Or well some of their things from the trunks in their dorm rooms. Moose tried to think of what things they would ransack from him that they hadn't already when they did at the start of the year. He looked up and over at some of the others still crowding the Professor then saw directly beside him was another kid (Cathal). He looked just as defeated as he did. Don't sit beside him. Don't come near him. Don't even think he wanted to be comforted. He wanted to be left alone, but ehdidn't tell him to go away yet.
Just don't talk to him.
As soon as Rosier left that Pink-haired-Cabbage-Named-mess-of-a-Trent (Kale), who was Mavis' older brother started barking orders and tried to be reassuring to them all too. Moose was not going to comply to this.
Leave him alone.
He pulled his robes over himself and tried to hide from everyone. "We're doomed." He said softly to no one in particular. Though the other kid who sat beside him might have heard it.
Quinn breathed out a sigh of relief as the Headmaster let him off. Emmerson, too, it seemed, but he didn't much look at her before he hurried after Eden. He stole a glance at the Professor as he passed by; it seemed like a lot of the other kids were helping him already, so... he would probably be fine, right? Right. He would be fine, and Quinn would go see him after he woke up.
Quinn sat down next to Eden, still shivering slightly; the dankness and dreariness of the room didn't help to warm him up much, especially since he was still in his pajamas with no shoes or socks. "W-well... this is just g-great..." he mumbled. He was honestly getting more angry than anything at this point, but he also understood the imminent danger they were in—no magic, no defense, one knocked out professor. Any of the Alliance people could waltz in, kill someone for absolutely no reason and none of them could so a smidge about it. This was, essentially, the worst environment to incite a rebellion in.
Quinn's head perked up at the mention of the cuddle pile; he was in the mood for hugs and warmth, but Eden showed no signs of getting up. He didn't want to just leave her right now...
it's either adhd or wrackspurts <3 <3 lily luna's mom has got it going on
Finally (girl it's been so little time I- )Quinn was here and she could relax a little bit, tucked between the wall and her not-so-secret favorite. Eden didn't move or say anything when he sat next to her, but she did reach out and grab his hand. Only because she thought he'd find it reassuring. She was trying to be a better friend ever since she'd almost lost him at the boars. Even though THAT had been all Emmerson's fault.
"Bro," Eden spoke quietly, looking at his sad, red, toes. Still feeling empty, albeit less so. "Can I give you my socks?" They were clean. Ish. She had shoes and long sweatpants.
Eden didn't notice Quinn's little perk-up at the cuddle pile. But she'd tell him to live his dreams if she had. He'd done what was important and claimed the correct spot on the floor (next to her!).
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
From one of the corners of the room, Minjae had hugged his knees and placed his chin on top of them as he stared at the group of students surrounding Professor Williamson. He was worried, very worried for the man but also wanted to give them some space because what could he do?! He had never even witnessed a cruciatus curse being used up until today.
And then Rosier spoke and Minjae lifted his head up just slightly to hear what he had to say and after the man had left he went back to thinking. If this was one of his video games there HAD to be a way out. But this was reality and not a locked room escape game. There were no hidden hints. As for finding a spot to claim, the seventh year would take where he sat. He spotted Noah punching the wall with his fist and he quickly stood up and walked over to him to check if he was alright. "You idiot, what was that for?" he asked. Was his hand ok?
At Kale Trent's words, Minjae felt annoyed. In the back of his mind he understood that the Gryffindor was just trying to help and ease the tension but being ordered what to do by a younger kid did not go well with him at the moment. "And who went and made you boss?" he asked as he turned his head away from his friend to look at the other Gryffindor . It wasn't known to many but the Hufflepuff had quite a temper under his friendliness and usually he'd release it in the form of video games, crying in empty classrooms or ranting to his close friends or in poor Professor Schmoe's office but all of that wouldn't be possible anymore.
Why was everywhere spinning? Oh, because she’d been dragged every which way and thrown into some weird room. One thing was for sure, it was dark and dreary. Handing her wand over as she entered, she stumbled in, pyjamas still on as she looked around, a little confused. Why…were they here? Gingerly, she rubbed the lump that was still forming on the back of her head where she’d been sent flying by that stooge of the headmaster.
So many of her friends were already here. It was heart breaking. Or maybe that was the pain. Something was causing her to tear up though. One bit of good news though was the fact that she’d have her trunk soon and they were allowed to go to lessons to! Or was it good news? They were humans too and deserved more than being treated like rats. No, rats were treated better than this.
Quietly, the little Ravenclaw moved to a space on the floor and set and rested her throbbing head on her knees. All she wanted was to be alone. She knew the rest of her family would be in here shortly if they weren’t already but even then, being alone was preferable. If she was alone, that would mean that the rest of them weren’t there! As for her clothes, they could take whatever they wanted from her trunk.
Violet was already in the corner next to Williamson and had decided that she would remain there--she wanted to feel protected on as many sides as possible.

CUDDLE pile?! Oh no no no no no. Violet did not cuddle, and she was not quite that cold yet, thanks to the flannel nightgown she was wearing under her robes.

Exactly what Violet had been thinking, and the reason why she had not turned the professor over on his back herself. But if they turned him on his side, she intended to make sure they turned him facing away from her spot. "Yes, and you should try not to move him around too much more than necessary; his muscles will be sore from that curse and may spasm." She heard herself, sounding like an authority on the Cruciatus Curse, even though she only had heard about it from her Uncle Hamlet.

One moment she was in the courtyard, the next Ivy was here. At least that was what it felt like. In the time between then and now, she'd sort of shut down, a numbness overtaking her and the wild range of emotions that had been running through her.
She handed over her wand and then her feet took her to an empty spot against the wall to sit down, her back against the wall, her knees pulled up to her chest, her arms wrapped around them, just...staring.
A part of her mind noticed the group gathered around Williamson and listened to Rosier's words - and registered the fact they were going to go through their trunks again. What were they looking for that they hadn't already found? Would they find her camera? Her journal?
Did it even matter if they did?
Maybe not. Maybe nothing did.
So she didn't pay attention to what the other students were saying, not even Kale as he tried to help and make the most of this horrible situation. Ivy admired him for it. But still she remained seated, her grey eyes staring at the ground, both lost in thought and not thinking about anything at all.

RIGHT?
Louise sniffled as she approached the room, dropping her wand wordlessly into Rosier's hand. She entered the room and saw Willy crumpled on the ground and she rushed over there as Phoebe felt his neck. "Is he okay?" she whispered in urgency. "Willy?" (again, perhaps he'd be mad about her calling him Uncle Willy in front of others, but it wasn't like she was going to be FORMAL if she was asking a man if they were DEAD)

It was all too much. Even then.
Upon entering the room, she looked for Emm, beckoning her to follow as Kizzy moved to sit next to her sister (near Mamie, Violet, Louise, and Noah). With her legs folded underneath her, she slipped her hand into Professor Williamson's, interlacing her fingers with his. She had the very same question as Louise. "Wake up, please wake up. Please wake up. Please wake up. Please wake up. Please." She whispered these words, under her breath, over and over and over again until her throat went dry. Her heart couldn't take another casualty.
She didn't have any connection to the muggle and that scene still kept her up every night. But Professor Williamson? He was their protector. If he didn't wake up, Kinsay wouldn't know what to do with herself. It was too much. Everything was too much.
Please wake up. Please wake up. Please wake up.
Please.

Not to mention that he was pretty much the only professor who was visibly trying to protect them.
Avalon just wanted him to be okay. Please, let him be okay.
She hurried over to the creatures professor, kneeling down next to Kinsay, Louise, and Phoebe to get a closer look. "Here, I'll help you roll him over," she suggested hesitantly to the girls. Professor Williamson was a big guy, but with all of them helping, they could probably get him onto his back. At least then he could breathe.

She looked over at his face after they turned him to see if he was awake yet, because she had remembered that she still had the Strengthening Solution in her pocket that she had showed Professor Varma, which she originally intended to give to Professor Schmoe. Varma said at that time that her potion was perfectly fine, but that it was against the rules to give out potions without going through the Healer and getting permission, blah, blah, blah. So Violet had just stuck in an inner pocket of her robes and forgotten about it. But now Williamson looked like he could probably use some strengthening, as soon as he woke up, that is. And Violet was done with following the rules.

Williamson could hear, faintly, everything that was going on around him. He could tell someone was touching him, someone else was scheming about poking him or roling him over; he couldn't tell which, as he was, still, pretty woozy.
But it was the little cry from his pseudo-niece Louise that made him lift his head. "How many times have I told you not to call me Uncle Willy?" he croaked, popping open one (1) eye only to stare at the sixth year Gryffindor. "'M fine, James, Jameses, I guess, I woke up, alright?" Guess he'd heard more than he wanted to admit, huh.
Williamson gave a loud old-man groan of exhaustion again and forced himself to his elbows, then rolled himself over with a big, sad flop. "WE'RE FINE, KIDS." He stared, bleary-eyed but with one eye only, at the dingy ceiling in here. Disgusting. This place was disgusting. And this was coming from the man who would take regular naps in the bar next to the kneazles and puffskeins if he felt like sneaking a kip.
"The good news is," Williamson was half-talking to himself and half-talking to any of the students nearby, "we can at least speak freely in here, because who cares anymore?" Ope, maybe he should have kept that last thought to himself.

"Yeah." Phoebe wiped her hands decisively against her pajama bottoms and shoved to her feet. Williamson was fine, and she was feeling a little crowded by all her co-helpers. Still, it was good to see who jumped in to help and who went off to sulk. She wrapped an arm around Kizzy for a moment. And gave Morgan's hand a squeeze, because she appreciated his solid presence right now.
"Listen to the Senior Reprobate. The good news is that you can hug your favorite Muggleborn because we're already in this gross place. Now." She gave Kale that beam-y James smile. "I don't have a cloak to give you, Cutie Kaley, but maybe when we get our trunks, we can stack them to sort of section off the room. Create some space for privacy and sleeping?" And a barrier from the door, should they ever need it. Just saying. For changing clothes, right???!?!

Because who cares anymore?
.....
Cece lifted her head and stared at the professor, brow furrowed. She did... But she was realizing she’d been so stupid to think that things could get better. She’d had hope this whole time, trying to talk Kale into being careful and promising Emmerson that the younger kids would be fine because she’d be there to protect them. As if she could protect them. And now here they were in a prison and Professor Williamson was proving that this was a losing battle and that all of her hope was for nothing. It was fine. This was fine. Maybe she’d needed to hear this.
Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.
Poking his head out from under his robe he heard the Professor stir, and move firstly reassuring them that they'd be fine. Which he highly doubted. Did you see their living arrangements now Professor? Probably not, the man still looked especially groggy with his current circumstances. The only positive was he wasn't dead yet.
The 2nd Year Slytherin both agreed and disagreed with the Professor in his next statement. There really was nothing left to care about not even themselves. He would continue to hold onto the little meant words from Schmoe just before he was dragged off, but Williamson was no longer lying and he preferred that. Speaking freely though? They still couldn't even do that. They were being guarded from the outside of their cell, and there were guards in the room as well. Speaking Freely? Not likely. They weren't even free enough to do that.
He slipped back under his school robe and hide away from everyone once again.

Noah hadn’t expected Minjae to rush over him or react that strongly. He was grateful to his friend and if he wasn’t too frustrated- he would have thanked him for looking out for him immediately. He peeled his eyes away from the students crowded around WWW to look at his hand and then at his mate. Noah chuckled, offering Minjae a weak smile. “I’m a Gryffindor - that’s what we do...” he explained, trying his best to smile before sighing as he looked at his hand. He was grateful for his friend. His heart was racing so fast that he hadn’t registered the pain when he had struck it. He rubbed his right hand with his left, shrugging his shoulders nonchalantly. “It’s fine.... I did it because I’m frustrated.” It felt like nothing they did was good enough to save anyone. “Aboli’s out...” He ran the hand through his hair and sighed. Not much to do about it now....
Before he could say anything else, Kale was speaking up addressing the “older kids” which Noah assumed to be everyone over their fifth year. It was a sensible idea to keep warm. He was in line with it but raised an eyebrow at Minjae’s reaction. He, too, didn’t like being referred to as an older kid - he had a name thank you very much, spoiled Trent. He did acknowledge that it was a good suggestion. “I thiiiiink that’s a good suggestion, mate. It’s a good one to keep warm....” said Noah and then nodded when he overheard another students (Pheobe’s) suggestion. He looked back between Minjae and Kale. “But let’s.... not fight.... If we fight, we get nowhere. That’s what they want... for us to fight and to give up hope.” His eyes widened suddenly at a realization in his head. Unless..... they wanted them to give up hope and just submit..... But could they fake submission to them? No, no, no... that was just silly.
He paused, finding himself having trouble with what word was the correct one to use. He suddenly got distracted by whispers from first years of being doomed and whatnot. And then WWW must have woke up because all he heard was because who cares anymore? Noah suddenly felt a flash of anger rise within him as he sharply turned back to WWW. How could the man say that in front of everyone?? Wasn’t he a leader and shouldn’t leaders not be afraid in the face of danger? He was about to call out the Professor but paused.... It wasn’t worth the escalation.... “I’m glad you’re awake, Prof. Go ... sleep....” he spoke before quickly adding a little louder. “Well.... He’s clearly *ahem* a little ..... delirious.”
“So make-shift set up? Do you think we can do some cleaning in here too?” he said.
Kale Trent very much wasn't in charge. And he wasn't going to fight. Look, he knew his peers were going through it right now. The shock of this moment was palpable in this room, but Kale had spent all term going through some version of what everyone was feeling now.
His Dad had been killed. He'd been attacked by Hoods and had an unforgivable used on him by Rosier. A man had died as a way to punish him.
The fifth year had already gone through the mourning period that a lot of the other people in this room were now coming to grips with, especially the younger kids. And if his head was a lil more clear, he was gonna try and use that clarity to help.
But no, not be in charge.
He felt bad for Minjae who seemed fit to burst from everything going on around him. And he was grateful that both Noah and Pheebs were amenable to trying to help the room in whatever way the could.
Some of the students were flat out ignoring them, opting instead to curl up in a ball of sadness, and Kale GOT THAT FEELING. So he let them be. The time would come when he'd try to rally everyone again, but tonight if only a few of the older kids helped, maybe it would be enough to stop the little kids from being so bone-crushingly scared.
He counted his little sister among that group.
So no, he wasn't in charge and he wasn't going to fight. He said it out loud so everyone heard him, but especially the near-hystiercal Minjae. "I'm not fighting. And I'm not in charge. I'm helping how I can. You don't have to, if you don't want."
He crossed to Pheebs and returned the smile, even if it was performative, and said, "Good idea. We could stack 'em and use long cloaks as curtains to the changing rooms." It wasn't perfect. But stop gaps could be found to keep some of the misery at bay.
The fifth year straight up ignored his Professor. He was awake. He wasn't going to vomit. Good. He wanted to focus on the younger kids now, thanks.
Mamie was shocked at the sudden influx of people in the corner where Williamson was, where she was standing guard. There were four corners, and it seemed like everyone was here? She shuffled out of the way as people discussed rolling the poor man over, frowning slightly until he woke up! And seemed just as grumpy as normal!
That was good, right?
She shuffled toward Noah and Kale, because somehow the Gryffindor boys were making more sense than any of the Gryffindor girls ever had except maybe Phoebe James. They definitely had more sense than that Bernadette, though. No question to it. Plus, this was scary and honestly they reminded her slightly of her own brothers who she hadn't seen or heard from in...way way way way way too long. Nope, she couldn't think about that right now or she was going to cry, and that wasn't helpful. Plus, Kale was Mavis's brother. Mavis was nice. And Noah...wait, wasn't he friends with Aboli???? Her favorite?!
Mamie wished Aboli were in the room too. Then instantly felt Guilty for wishing something bad on her friend.
"What about homework?" she piped up. She wasn't asking about reading and essays. How were they going to do practical homework if they didn't have their wands? That was the only kind of homework she liked or did, after all.
Williamson gave a loud old-man groan of exhaustion again and forced himself to his elbows, then rolled himself over with a big, sad flop. "WE'RE FINE, KIDS." He stared, bleary-eyed but with one eye only, at the dingy ceiling in here. ...
"The good news is," Williamson was half-talking to himself and half-talking to any of the students nearby, "we can at least speak freely in here, because who cares anymore?" Ope, maybe he should have kept that last thought to himself.
Violet had been waiting for Williamson to show signs of regaining consciousness and immediately leaned over to him when he showed signs of reviving. "I wouldn't be too sure about that, they might be spying on us," she said in a low voice. Then she slipped the small potion vial she had been carrying around in her school robes pocket ever since that meeting with Professor Varma into one of Williamson's hands and closed his fingers over it as she leaned closer and whispered to him, "Please, Professor, take it, it's a Strengthening Solution, it'll make you feel better. Hurry, before someone comes in and takes it away from us."

They could threaten, they could harm, they could insult all they wanted but no longer would she let them cower her spirit. Was this how the others had fault when they'd stood up? furious to the point of tears?
Yolanda said nothing to the headmaster as she dropped her wand - her forever companion - into his grubby, ugly little hands. He'd get no polite acknowledgement from her today. Rubbing her naked arms, Yoyo stepped into the miserable little room. Was this where they'd be living from now on? Until Rosier grew further tired of them? She saw no bedding, no furniture, only dirt and darkness and damp.
For a moment, she stood. Indecisive and weak kneed. Phoebe and Morgan seemed to be checking on Williamson, Flynn was in his own world, Kale was comforting poor Mavis and Cece... Cece was against the wall, crumbled and looking so... very.. small.
She wanted to be beside them all. to comfort each one in turn. It was her heart which led her on, and despite no longer being Flynn's girlfriend, it was his shoulder her hand perched on. "Flynnie... " She said, gently trying to pry him from his thoughts.
At first her hand did nothing to shake Flynn from his reverie. It was like he was submerged in a pensieve memory and the sixteen year old had hunched in on himself, making himself small like he had been half a life time ago. After a little while though, his eyes unclouded and he looked at her, immediately flinching. Her jaw. Honestly? Honestly? Flynn couldn't look. It felt like a mirror and he remembered it all.

A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
Minjae was surprised when he saw that professor Williamson stood up from the corner of his eyes. What had happened? He had thought that the effects of the cruciatus curse would last longer than that, had one of the students managed to revive him? Did they have a healer class among them?!
Although he was glad that the man was a bit better because now they had an actual adult with them, Minjae still ignored him by looking away. He still felt shame for his behavior in class and he was scared how frequent his outbursts were becoming these days.
His hand was itching to punch something, just not a wall like Noah had done. One of the guards or maybe Rosier's face? That would be a very satisfying thing to do except that he knew he would be killed in an instant. No, he wouldn't even be able to get remotely close before getting killed.
"I'm not trying to pick a fight" he snapped at Noah's words, feeling guilty the moment he had said the words. It wasn't their fault his emotions were all over the place. He looked over at Kale as he spoke. "I really am not trying to pick a fight here I'm just..." he ran a hand through his hair with a frustrated groan as he told himself to relax "I'm sorry, man"
He wanted to be alone and cry. No one knew he had been crying in empty classrooms, not even Noah who he considered his closest friend in here right now. But now he couldn't be alone anymore. Even if he moved to the other two rooms, the Alliance guards would surely keep an eye on him and he refused to cry in front of them.
He sighed as he wordlessly walked back to the place he had claimed as his own spot, ignoring everyone as he sat against the filthy wall. He didn't want to work right now or thinking about homework really Mamie? Homework??
Tadhg's knees to his chest trying to keep himself warm, his teeth chattering from the coldness in the room, he felt himself getting colder and colder the longer he was in here. Seeing Kale suggest a cuddle pile he looked up shivering and teeth still chattering. "C...Can I join?" He was freezing and the little snake might look tough for speaking out and defending his friends, but now he was broken down and cold to his very core. Was this what Rosier wanted, them broken down physically and emotionally?
He didn't have much on him, other then what he summoned to make himself warmer before he gave his wand up. He wanted to lie and tell the slimeball of a Headmaster he didn't have his wand but just his luck he would've found out. He missed Lia and her cuddles, she always cheered him up but she wasn't here and hopes that she didn't. He didn't want her to be here, okay maybe a little to keep him company but he couldn't bare to see her broken down.
Looking at Kale he bit his lip. "W...We're not going to get in trouble for doing this are we? I don't want you or anyone else to get hurt, I seen you get hurt enough by the Cruciatus Curse, I know that's a painful curse." Although he said it in a whisper but loud enough to where he could hear him. If they were being watched they had to be careful didn't they?

~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
Sitting there quietly beside Ashley, the Snakette glared at Rosier as he explained things. She was used to comforts. Yes, Claudine grew up and lived in a mansion when she wasn’t at Hogwarts. But you know what? She could adjust when needed and if Rosier thought that he was going to throw all of them off with this sort of treatment, he wasn’t going to get any satisfaction from her. Idiot.
Though most of her was concerned for Heath, Claudine kept looking anxiously at Williamson. It was obvious that no one but them cared for him. She hoped he would come-to soon. Already overwhelmed, tired and annoyed of their circumstances, she wasn’t keen on joining in the concerned gathering around her favourite professor. With a soft sigh, Claudine turned her attention to Ashley.
Poor Ashley… this wasn’t the lively girl that the Snakette remembered. “Sure,’’ she replied softly, forcing a little enthusiasm into her voice. It was forced in not because she didn’t want to share a space with the younger girl. Rather, because she hoped to cheer her up a bit. And in that moment, Claudine was remembering how she had made up her mind to look out for Ashley earlier in the School year a the Swamp
“I hope you’ve a few stashed in your trunk or book bag. If not… we’ll I can lend you my wooden crayons and some paper. I know it’s not the same but…” Her sketchpad and crayons were in her own book bag so there was a strong chance she’d be able to repossess those. Hoping to keep Ashley occupied, she continued the conversation, feeling like a protective mother hen. “Why diagonal, red and blue stripes?”
Also, a cuddle pile? Yeah… no, thanks, Kale. This introvert wasn’t ready for that kind of thing though she would consider helping in some other way. But look! Good news! Williamson was awake! Claudine sent him a small but relieved smile.

Noah froze at Minjae’s cold words. Did he just SNAP at him? He blinked and offered to speak once more before closing his mouth. Ummmm? He pouted. It wasn’t very older peson like of him but he didn’t know what else to do other than pout. “I’m sorry...” he said, immediately falling back on what he was good at home.... apologizing. Before he could add another word, Kale spoke up again after Phoebe’s idea. “Good... good... Changing rooms. Some space to sleep.... And some dusting off this floor.” He turned his gaze to the floor, inspecting it as he scrunched his nose. Disgusting.
Homework?
He turned around when he heard that comment to find a younger year (Mamie) asking about homework. The question brought both a smile to his lips and a pang in his chest- his heart to be precise. That was such an Aboli Song question to be asking at this moment and that made him feel like tearing up a little.... Not that he was going too. He glanced away, clearing his throat, to hide the emotions about to bubble over again.
“Homework? Maybe we can figure that out later.... You’re friends with Aboli, right? I’m sorry- remind me of your name, again?” he asked the younger year. He wasn’t the best with names but he remembered faces. And he knew this student was particularly close to Aboli. There was some movement over near WWW that he didn’t pay attention too- he was a little too upset with the Professor and was still pretending that the man was delirious.
As he scanned the room again, his eyes landed on Minjae and he walked over to him. He felt a sudden need to apologize but he didn’t know what about... He just felt bad? “Hey..... I didn’t mean to insinuate that you were fighting.... it’s stressful... and I’m sorry.” The last thing he wanted to do was to offend his friend.
