| | Staff Table On a raised dais situated at the farthest point of the Great Hall stands a long table where the members of the Hogwarts staff sit and enjoy their meal while casting a watchful eye out on the four House tables. Each staff member has an assigned, cushioned chair to sit on throughout the duration of the feast, though the more notable out of them all is the throne-like golden chair in the centre reserved for the headmaster.
Keep in mind that you should not be wandering up to the staff table if you are not a staff member before Headmaster Trent has delivered his speech. Doing so will result in the loss of points or worse before you've even made it an hour into the term. If you wish to speak with someone seated up here, you will have to wait until after the speech has been said and there is food and drink on all of the tables. Make sure to keep your visit brief though -- the staff were also waiting on the food to appear and are just as hungry as you.

| Puff by day, snake by night | Mj's bestie | Always UP to Something... Her eyes scanned the tables as the man next to her spoke. SHe tried to make eye contact with her own children as well as a few of the students so that they could know that it would be okay hopefully. She didn't want any of them to panic, though she felt herself twisting with anxiety over it all. She wanted to get the students out of there, but it was obvious that wasn't happening.
Turning she came face to face with the person behind her and she quickly turned back in her seat and picked at her salad. She had to stay calm and stay focused. Feeling her bag move at her feet she pushed it with her toe to get her cats to settle and stay hidden.
Eat fast children, eat fast.

Tabatha Krauss Janus Galloglass | books and cleverness | i like you a latte One moment he was chatting with Shreya about Bali ... the next he learned that the school was taken by a cult.
He watched with horror as Headmaster Trent, no - ROSIER - revealed his true identity and made his speech. It was immediately clear to Camilo that his decision to join the Hogwarts faculty was a terrible mistake. But he was here now and his responsibility was to protect the students. He could see a few children at the red and gold table already being threatened and tortured, which made him clench his fists in fury. How DARE they. It was extremely difficult, but he managed to control himself from pulling out his wand. He knew it would be foolish to try anything with Rosier's many followers dispersed around the hall. Instead, he took deep breaths and began his meal with shaking hands.

| *sappysapper* MAJNOO, YO! June had been busy leaning over the staff table to watch her nephews get sorted. A moment she did not want to miss at all - which is why she completely missed when Headmaster Trent's face melted away. The moment the hat shouted GRYFFINDOR for them both, June stood up - CLAPPING. It was such a PROUD moment for her, a moment she was sure Airey would share too.
But her clapping died down when a few yelps and gasps reached her ear.
What.
Her eyes then finally caught on to the man standing in Trent's place and everything felt less like reality and more like a nightmare.
Everything that happen then made the brunette fall back in her chair, face pale and mind completely blank - unable to comprehend what was happening.
Food was the last thing on her mind but as it appeared, she turned to look at Schmoe - feeling very very scared about what was to come.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Norman A. Carton Graduated Hogwarts RPG Name: Sydney M. L. Masters Slytherin Second Year Diagon Alley Proprietor:
Caledon Roth The Leaky Cauldron | Sorry for the lack of mentions/interactions! Rhibear ~ Madam Solo ~ Dark Brooding Girl ~ Accio Jedi ~ Gryffinclaw ~ Just a doll Norman greeted the two who arrived after him (Cassie and William) with a polite nod. He considered Cassie’s questions for a moment. Yes, he was ready to get started, but whether or not it was a lovely evening remained to be seen. So far it was off to a promising start, but that could change at any moment. Before he had much time to think about it, Finneas’s answer to his question distracted him. “So I see,” he replied, unsure whether bringing a finger trap to a feast was a really odd idea or a really smart one. Leaning toward the former at this point. Either way, were Hogwarts feasts usually so boring that they needed a bit of fun to get through?
Norman’s blue-green eyes scanned the room, observing both students and staff alike. He’d found that he could learn more about people through observation than through conversation. He studied their mannerisms and interactions with each other, making a mental note of a select few students who struck him as potential troublemakers, Something else he made a note of? The headmaster’s absence. He was starting to get mildly concerned. Maybe he’d lost track of time or taken ill or something? Should someone go to his office and check on him?
He was about to ask his colleagues about it when the doors burst open. Oh, there was Trent! It took all of Norman’s self-control not to roll his eyes at that pointlessly dramatic entrance. Starting the term off with a (literal) bang, are we, Trent? He thought to himself, though he had the sense not to say such a thing out loud. But wait - that wasn’t Trent! He turned his attention to the man just in time to see his skin bubbling, and he instantly knew what was happening. Polyjuice potion! Untransfiguration wouldn’t cause one’s skin to bubble like that.
Norman’s mind was going a million miles an hour. His colleagues were asking the wrong questions! Who these people were was inconsequential besides, he was already 99% convinced they were dark wizards. A good person wouldn’t resort to such deception to get into Hogwarts. The real question was what they hoped to accomplish by infiltrating the school. Still, Cassie was onto something. If they could get the students out of the hall, maybe they could make a stand and apprehend these people before things got worse! He surveyed the room, sizing up the goons standing around the tables. A plan of attack was already forming in his mind…
Or not. Norman showed no reaction as the imposter spoke. Rosier… old wizarding name, and if he recalled correctly, historically linked to pureblood supremacists like Grindelwald and Voldemort. He had a pretty good idea what this lunatic’s agenda was, and he wanted no part of it! There was no way he was going to let this Neo-Alliance (or whatever they called themselves) win, but he knew that acting impulsively would only endanger himself and others. No, he had a feeling this was going to be a battle of wits, not wands.
While others might be afraid, Norman was just frustrated, frustrated at Rosier and his goons for their intrusion and frustrated at himself and his coworkers for not seeing that something was off sooner. How had they let this happen?! He mentally shook himself as he began to pile food on his plate. Second guessing himself would do no good. The best thing could do for the students now was give them the tools they’d need to face this, and if the Gryffindors’ antics were any indication, he had his work cut out for him!
