Default Music Classroom

Upon entering this large classroom, it is very obvious what its purpose is. This room is dedicated to teaching Muggle and Wizard Music and is used by members of both the Frog Choir and Orchestra. Instrument cases of all shapes and sizes as well as rows of music stands with accompanying stools fill the inside of this room. In the front, a conductor's stand is positioned in between a polished black piano and a complete drum set.

For many at Hogwarts, students and adults alike, this is one of their favourite places inside the castle. At various hours throughout the day, wonderful music is made and you get to take a break from anything overly theoretical and hone your musical talents. Fortunately for those in Transfiguration or in other parts of the castle, your marvelous melodies cannot disturb them for the room is completely soundproof. So play as loud as you want! This space can also be reserved after scheduled class hours if you and your friends have formed a band and need somewhere appropriate to practice.

If he wasn't going to press on the matter than she wasn't about to give anymore information. He didn't seem like the type that would really care anyhow. Surely, her 'frustrations' as he had called them, weren't nearly as important or large as some of the others around here. Annnnd right back to square one. The drum playing. "Why? I was in here first." Just a small reminder in case he had forgotten.

Lia kept the gentle 'tap tap tap' going for a minute or so longer. A tiny smile began to tug at the corner of her lips when she caught that lopsided smile of his. "What are you reading?" she questioned softly, glancing over at the book on his lap. The calm rhythm continued even as she added in some different sounds with the other drumstick.
"Ilya." He replied automatically, his eyes not leaving the book. Not until her reply, anyway, which was more of a quip than a reply. He looked up at her, studying her face to see if she actually was serious. "Touche." He was going to give her this win, she had potential. He MIGHT be willing to tolerate her drumming further.

Ahem. Anyway. He was back to his book, acting nonchalant and whatnot. "Just a story." Also, he was not going to share since she did not share her frustrations. That could've been a funny conversation--a missed opportunity, as some would call it. "I like to read where there is a background noise sometimes. Especially if it's not about school." So, she could go on with her drumming. "Funnily enough, there is a drummer in this story. He's supposed to be talented, but who could tell through writing, right?" It was stupid, he thought, writing about music? Eh.

Ilya. Easy enough. Maybe. Dahlia repeated it a couple of times in her head. Having older friends was important and remembering someone's name helped stay on their good side. Possibly. In her eyes practically everyone was her friend, even if they themselves didn't know it. There was a hint of a grin that went quite well with the simple incline of her head in the form of a nod. She knew she was right in that aspect and nothing more needed to be said unless he tried to make her leave, which he wasn't doing.

The momentary vagueness Ilya had given made her giggle. Was this payback for her own previous reply about her 'frustrations'? 'Cause if it was, then this time he was one point ahead. Perhaps he wasn't so bad after all. He did have some seriously wicked hair and eyes to match.

Lia stopped the little rhythm she had going, twirling one of the sticks between her fingers giving the hint that maybe she might actually be able to play somewhat. The little smile was back on her lips and she nodded in understanding. "I get that." Background noise was something she was very much used to. Coming from a large family there was always noise. As he started to tell her a little bit about the drummer in his book, she began tapping at the drums once again, this time with more of a true beat. Yes, she was still being quiet about her playing though for the time being. "Music is hard to describe in a story, everyone's interpretation on how well someone can play is very different."
