| | Underground Chambers Opening a well-hidden door in the dungeons allows you access to the many underground chambers beneath the castle. While this discovery may be exciting, it is important to move forward with caution -- hopefully you've come along with some friends, just in case something should go terribly wrong. No, you've thankfully not stumbled upon the Chamber of Secrets. But only Merlin knows what you'll find here.
You start off in a chamber containing a dusty table where seven bottles once rested. Whether you find that interesting or not, it is the two doors present in the room that play at your curiosity. Going through one door will take you into an antechamber that leads to a much bigger room. Here a large mirror can be found, which will reveal something interesting about yourself if you stand in front of it properly. The other door, however, stems off into a series of chambers. First you find yourself in a spacious room, though there isn't much to be seen besides a thick layer of dust (with a dash of decayed troll bone) on the floor. Carrying onward, a giant chess board is revealed (to play a life-sized game, one need only cast Reparo on the mutilated pieces) and then a room filled with an array of winged keys. Lastly is a chamber that is relatively harmless ... as long as the blue flames remain lit.
Perhaps you've learned about this place once in history class? It all seems oddly familiar. Hmm.

| Roro come hither pls Dalliesa | Ab-Bot | Hogwarts Trojan War | Ilya had discovered this entrance last week in one of his ventures for a private place where he could train for transfiguration in the castle. Training outside was becoming cumbersome with the prying eyes following him everywhere. Couldn't a wizard train to turn his head into a balloon in peace anymore??
Anyway.
He had used this particular chamber twice so far, and guess what? He now became comfortable enough to leave his hand mirror and cloak knowing no one would move them. What a nice corner of paradise if you ignore the dust, the chill feeling that came and went, and the random noise from one of the corners which --if you weren't a tough manly man like he was-- would make you wet your pants. Oh, those spare pants he brought? Just in case he turned into an octopus by accident and ruined the ones he wore, totally not for any wetting-pants accidents. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: TBD Gryffindor Hogwarts RPG Name: Zara H. Bunbury-Foster Slytherin Fifth Year | *follows* :D Professor Pink | Mrs. Bruce Wayne | I'm on a Goat | Glitterpuff | Dumbledore's Defense Squad | BHB She wasn't following Ilya and practicing her stalking techniques! Nooooooo, Bernie had just entered the bowels of Hogwarts behind him on pure coincidence, her steps not even making a sound. She stopped suddenly though and looked around, confused. She...she had been here before, hadn't she? This chamber looked oddly familiar and suddenly she was getting a flashback from last year, from doing a spell with a certain weatherman....
She shivered and pulled her cloak tighter about her, adjusting her hood so just her blue eyes were visible as they caught the chamber's dim light. Bernie crept forward once again. "Boo," she calmly stated as she popped up behind Ilya. "I scared you."

"Boo," she calmly stated as she popped up behind Ilya. "I scared you." His throat jumped temporarily when a voice first spoke but he recognized it immediately. Ilya hated Bernie, did everyone know that? No? He should make this more common knowledge then. He definitely hated her now that she followed him and scared the BEEJEEZUS out of him. Okay, fine, 'hate' was a strong word, and not completely truthful to how he felt towards his friend most of the time. But Merlin was it easy to let himself harbor unpleasant feelings for the Gryffindor sometimes!
"You wish." he gave her a side-eyed look. "What are you doing here creeping in like a blue-eyed rat?" He paused, raising his hand dramatically indicating he had something to correct. "Actually, no. Sorry. A blue-eyed hag." There. |

But at least he was doing better at handling his elf transfiguration abilities? His hair hadn't even changed color this time.
"Thank you," she stated, pausing a moment before giving him her very best, most toothsome and evil grin, "for calling me a hag. I would be FLATTERED to find employment down Knockturn Alley, eating kids for fun, luring them in with caaaaaaaaandy...." she wiggled her fingers at him enticingly. "I could ask you the same thing. What are YOU doing here, you... blue-eyed elf-person?" Hmm, no. She put her hand on her hip. "Actually, no. Sorry. A blue-eyed DEMON."
There. Two could play at this insult game.

There. Two could play at this insult game. Ugh. She's so annoying and funny. Ilya just rolled his eyes up at the ceiling about the hag story she just made up. "You need to work on your luring techniques. You're the worst person to lure someone somewhere." She had no subtleties whatsoever about her. Ilya was actually being sincere in that assessment, thank you very much.
The copycatting was borderline offensive, calling him a demon because he had freakishly unstable face features?? He was growing more sensitive about this every since he turned fourteen. It was weird. "My eyes are not blue today," he countered, his voice full of uncertainty. Were they? They were green before he came down here. Anyway, Ilya turned away from Bernie and moved to where he left his cloak and hand mirror the last time he was here. They were simply perched up on top of what looked like a stony bench.
...
Where are they, though? He bent down reaching around the bench, "Make yourself useful and look for my mirror, will you? I left it here last time." He wasn't panicking yet, it must've fallen over, or one of the ghosts must've played with it. Could they? "It had small red rubies around the handle." It was his grandmother's and obviously a sentimental object. |

Bernie just stared at Ilya, wondering why she hadn't at least brought some candy with her on her stalking mission. "I'm not the one doing the luring here, buddy. YOU'RE the one who keeps coming down here for some reason." Yes, that was right, Belrose. This wasn't his first time disappearing to the bowels of Hogwarts and Bernadette O. Grantham, detective hag, had noticed.
Oh posh, his eyes weren't blue. Well, it was dark down here. They COULD be brown now. She couldn't tell, exactly, but she was not about to admit to being wrong. "Are you sure about that?" she countered, stomping away to look for the mirror. "Why don't you just summon it?" Bernie was feeling lazy, couldn't he tell? She wished she knew how to conjure objects, so she could conjure a chair. This chamber was weirdly lacking in furniture.
