Stack of Barrels https://s26.postimg.cc/jsbnu5iu1/sta...els-banner.jpg In a nook on the right-hand side of the basement corridor stands a large stack of barrels. To most students, such a sight might seem unimportant. However, to those who were sorted into Hufflepuff, these barrels are invaluable. Concealed behind one of these barrels is the entrance to their common room, which has not been seen by a student belonging to another house in over a thousand years. |
What had been an excellent day so far was turning out to be a bummer quickly. Gemma was all excited to get all her homework done and all her lessons done to hangout with some friends only to find herself alone in the corridor. She hadn't found a single friend while she was out looking and now she felt like just giving up. Headed towards the barrels she was just about to head into the common room when something caught her eyes. It was something shiny and it was down in between two of the barrels. Now it was most likely an earring or something, but who was Gemma if she wasn't someone who tried to help others out, so down on her knees she went to try to get the mystery object. |
Ivy was headed back to the common room, finished with practicing some charms in one of the empty classrooms. It had been a pretty okay day. She was happy she’d be able to spend time outside again soon. She thought winters were bad back home, but it was nothing compared to here. Coming upon the barrels, she spotted a girl on her knees trying to get to something. Curiosity getting the better of her, she came closer to see it was Gemma. Standing over her, she tried to see what the girl was trying to get to. ”What are you doing?” she asked from somewhere over Gemma’s head. |

She was just about to pull out her hand when she made a face and starting tugging frantically. "Stuck.... stuuuuuuuck..... stuuuuuuuuuuuck!!!" Her arm was stuck where she had pushed it into the barrels and now she could care less about the object, she just wanted her arm out. |

But then Gemma started saying she was stuck, and Ivy looked around in a panic. There was no one else around, and she didn’t know what to do. Running forward, she tried to push one of the barrels, but the girl was barely 70 pounds soaking wet in a fur coat. There was no way she was going to be able to move it. ”Okay... okay just... just don’t panic!” she said, doing her best to sound calm. Think. Thiiiiink. |

Trying really hard to pull her arm out she tugged and tugged until she whimpered from pain. "It's really stuck." She tried to think of ways to get out. "Do you have any butter or know a charm to move these?" Know her housemate was a first year she wasn't sure if the girl would know one or not, if she had neither Gemma was afraid she'd have to wait until an older student or an adult came. |
