 Whether you are brand new to Hogwarts or have been here a while, the Entrance Hall is always a breath-taking sight to see. Always memorable are the high ceilings, the colourful portraits on the walls, and the grand marble staircase. Various torches light the large room, keeping it nice and cozy at all times of the year. Arched windows atop the staircase, featuring the four Hogwarts Founders in all of their glory, bring in natural lighting as well.
This room is the gateway to the rest of the castle; however, those parts are temporarily off-limits until Headmaster Trent dismisses the student body from the Start-of-Term Feast for bed. Of course, you are more than welcome to slip out of the Great Hall to use the restroom in the corridor a few doors down or take a short break from the crowded room after the speech has been given. Not much is happening out here besides a team of house-elves taking everyone's luggage to the appropriate dormitories. Don't linger out here too long; you have a feast to enjoy.

Hello, hello, hello Hogwarts! It was relief which filled Yoyo's bright heart as her eyes, ears and nose feasted on the sights, sounds and smells pouring out from the Great Hall. Red, Blue, Yellow and Green tables neatly arranged to welcome them back. It eas going to be a golden year. a year of kept promises and new decisons.
Absent friends.
Yoyo could not help but feel guilty, she was so happy to be back but Tavie was still home, happy and safe with her parents but surely feeling lonely without the other elder Starkies. She could have kept her mouth shut when her parents had asked her for a final decision- a tie breaker to end all tie breakers- but Emms was doing her first year and while her little sister was very smart, and very good at taking care of herself, Yoyo never would have forgave herself for letting her face Hogwarts and all it's wonders alone.
and... of course, there were so many other reasons. Like Nem's secret smile, or Teddy's giggles. Phoebe's ingenius ramblings and Cece's gentle, but firm presence.. Flynnie's arms, Cobe's Cobiness, and Ruby's brave influence, and Kale! How could she have gone a year without Kale's dancing charms? Yoyo held the names on the tip of her tongue, talismen to keep her guilt at bay. She stood on the threshold, finger in curl, trying to memorize every itty bitty thing.

That was the most beautiful vision in the entire world. That was the prettiest and best thing at Hogwarts, aside from Teddy and Cece and Kiz and Flynn and Emms, of course. But best because it was UNEXPECTED. It was Yolanda. The magnificent, the gorgeous, the talented.
"YOYO," Phoebe threw herself at her friend, arms out and ready for hugging. She was going to hug the HEAD off this girl. "I didn't see you on the train and I didn't know you were going to come back, but I was really hoping that you were. Emm didn't say. I saw her on the train, though, but she didn't even mention you'd be here!" More hugging. "I kissed Josh Miller on the train. Just a little. I have so many things to tell you!"

"I looked for you guys but I couldn't find anyone!" It had been the most hectic train ride of her life, all very last minute, all very dramatic and not in the way she liked. "I almost worried you guys hadn't come back but then I asked around and Aleks Barton said she'd seen you, and Teds, and Kizzy- I didn't know I was coming until today, my dad looked positively furious the whole time he was dropping me off but I don't care, I'm furious with him, I couldn't even get new robes! Or books! I'll have to share with you lot until the order comes in- but I don't care! I don't care! I'm so happy to be back!" She stopped there, a tiny bit out of breath as she lunged forward, wrapping her beautiful, wonderful, funny best friend in a fierce hug. A hug which had been a long time coming. She squeezed extra tight, only letting go when PB&J mentioned Joshua Miller- "You kissed him? He kissed you? That adorable Gryffindor with the funny accent? I can't believe! You've kissed so many people!" Yoyo was impressed, and jealous- jealous? That was new, she'd only really felt that why when it came to Tavie and Flynn and that was...complicated.

No, don't let go! Phoebe grabbed hold of Yoyo and decided to never ever let go. Last time she let go, there had been a very real threat of Yoyo disappearing from her life. Or from her Hogwarts life. She wanted to move Yoyo into her dorm, attend all her classes with her, never let her out of her eyesight. NEVER.
"I thought you weren't going to come back and my heart... broken. I have so much to tell you and ask you and plan for the future. I cried. Teddy cried. Kizzy cried. Merlin, my mum was so mad at us for all the crying." She finally let Yoyo ease back, but there was no way she was going to really let her go. "I only kissed him on the nose, but I offered to give him a second chance later. If he shows up." Really, so much to tell her. The realization she had about Kale, the plan with Meeks at Diagon...
