| | Windows to the Lake From afar, one might think that the windows in the Slytherin Common Room just haven't been washed in twenty years. But when you get closer or look harder, you might see a fish flash before your eyes. Or maybe a kelpie. Or perhaps a tentacle of the Giant Squid.
The Slytherin Common Room resides in the Dungeons of Hogwarts, meaning they are underground. What else is underground, you may ask? Why, the Lake, of course. These windows give you a marvelous view of the Black Lake. Most creatures in the lake tend to like their privacy, so you won't see them all the time, but you can usually see quite a few mindless fish and other things swimming around. Just don't go tapping on the glass. You never know what might pop up to tap back. |

| Anyone? ^_^ A Poop * k8 *
Aboli plopped down in front of the windows one gloomy evening and shed her school clothes for workout attire. She decided to do some yoga in front of the large, murky windows. It was peaceful. The darkness and cool colors provided her with such clarity, too. Ahhh. She sat in the most basic position, the lotus, and simply monitored her breathing for a few minutes.
It reminded her of her mother, who was back home, probably putting her little brother to sleep. She missed the toddler horribly. Maybe Koko would join her...who knew. But for now, she was alone and in complete peace.
Ahhhhhhhh. IN........
and out.......

and out....... Evening time meant that the common room typically got busier which is what Odaline hated the most. Teenagers talking about crushes, idiots talking about their home life and others trying to make conversation with her. Why, after so many years, did people still try that? Hadn't they learned that she hated them? That she didn't want to be their friends? That she would bite them and would happily take a chunk out of their arm for free? Clearly not.
What Odaline also hated was yoga. She hated the idea that it was this ultimate spiritual thing and that so many people had suggested it to help her wind down.
NO. Odaline preferred to run. To run until her legs throbbed, the wind lashed her cheeks to bright red and until she could barely breathe. Which is what she'd just came back from doing. So, like Aboli, she was in workout clothes and around. But, unlike Aboli, Odaline didn't want to do yoga, see yoga or hear about yoga. So as she walked by, Odaline crouched down and tugged on her hair.
Couldn't practice breathing with a hair tug, could you?

Couldn't practice breathing with a hair tug, could you? In...and OOOOUUUUT. She was at peace. She was relaxing. She would be able to focus her mind on only her breathing soon, and nooooothing would be in her mind, thankfully. She was cloudy today. And with Divination tomorrow, she needed to clear her INNER EYE most likely if she wanted to be successful and all.
When THAT happened, though, Aboli gasped and whipped around and then relaxed. "Oh, it's only you. I should have guessed." She said caaaaaalmly before turning around and wiggled back into her place. There was a threat lurking behind her teeth, but Aboli was still trying to fit in and be nice. She had patience with her lovely roommate, and she knew Odaline was like this to practically everyone, so.
Nothing was personal. No point in getting upset since it isn't personal. Just let her be............she'll fall into the path she's set out to be on...
But, she did manage to add, "I thought it was someone worth gasping over." Hmph.

But, she did manage to add, "I thought it was someone worth gasping over." Hmph. With the tug complete, Oda felt a little bit better about how much she disliked this person (similarly to how much she disliked every person that wasn't Hanna-Belle or Ingrid) and smiled. She knew that a smile looked so unnatural on her features and it felt just that, but that was all the more reason to do it because it unsettled people. And in her experience, unsettling people made them think more was coming and she could lax off. "I don't want to be worth gasping over." And she didn't want to gasped over by Aboringli. Disgusting. "Don't break a bone." Or do. Either way, Oda was smiling.

It didn't mean it didn't bother her - it suuuuuure did, but she kept thinking about ODALINE'S side of things. Why escalate? Why make anything worse? Aboli figured the girl was having a hard time with SOMETHING so...what was the point firing back? Sooo, she just turned to glance at her, that awful smile plastered across her face, and raised an eyebrow. "You know, you're the main reason I don't spend my time in the dorm. I'm not sure what I've done to offend you - but if I have, please tell me." Hmph. "And it's really hard to break a bone in yoga, you know," she was ANNOYED, okay, but her voice remained calm. "I would much rather be friend than foe." Aboli didn't liiiiiiiike animosity, but she'd deal with it if she HAD to. She'd done so for years before starting at Hogwarts at 11, and then had left the school to be home-schooled...and had avoided it at all COSTS.
It just felt bad OK?
