Located just south of the castle is a large body of water known as the Great Lake or the Black Lake. This is where the first years encounter the school for the first time when the Groundskeeper takes them there by boat. After seven years they will leave the castle, their individual house and their home behind as they sail back across the Great Lake to embark on new adventures.
If you decide to dip your toes in the water, be careful of the many magical creatures inhibiting the lake that might mistake a little student’s toe for a tasty treat. For in the Great Lake lives everything from merpeople to grindylows. Bartholomew Henry, the Giant Squid, however is not interested in nibbling on toes, but would much rather have someone tickle his tentacles while he soaks up some sun.
Why don’t you follow his lead and do the same? Do some homework in the sun heated grass, take that well deserved nap before Ancient Runes or catch up on that reading. Enjoy your time at the Great Lake!
Jina had forgotten about the jazzercise activity until she noticed that the Ravenclaw common room was less crowded than usual. When she realised what she had missed, she thought for a moment whether she really wanted to join, because she didn't know what jazzercise is and usually preferred to exercise by herself. But while she could not think of any good reason to opt out, there were potentially a lot of benefits to exercising together with her housemates and head of house. So she quickly got dressed into a comfortable T-shirt and shorts, tied her hair into a ponytail, put on her running shoes and rushed down to the lake.
"Hi! Sorry I'm late," she said to Professor Schmoe as she stopped at the back of the group and began the stretches. The jazz music was really nice. So were they just stretching and jogging along to the tunes? That would be great! As she stretched, she glanced around and noticed Missa, Avalon and Ewan, as well as Professor Kitridge and - were those students from other houses spying on them? There were kids she knew from Ilvermorny, Noah and Kimberly too. Well this was going to be a bit embarrassing ...
Noah's disturbance to her silence just made her chuckle. "I think the Ravenclaws are about the jazz!dance around...I wish we had popcorn for the entertainment," she smirked and stayed lounged about, leaned back on her elbows. "Come sit - there's definitely enough room on my blanket," she said with a grin. Islay had joined them too. Aboli hadn't gotten a chance to get to know the girl beyond Noah....but she seemed all right.
"I am not cheering anyone on. You two can but," she shrugged. "I'm relaxing. I was watching the clouds, but Professor Schmoe kinda ruined it. I don't mind. He looks FUNNY," she grinned.

Getting closer, she could see Professor Schmoe. The girl had to quickly clamp a hand over her mouth in order to stifle any giggle or laugh that was threatening. It wasn't polite to laugh at her Professors especially not where they could NOTICE. What in merlin's beard were they all doing though?
Looking around at the others crowded around the lake, K could see Islay and Noah with another girl she had yet to meet, and jogged over their way. "Is Professor Schmoe always so... eclectic?" Because that felt a safe word.

Fingers crossed. "Kimmie! Hey!" he said, trying to not appear too excited around Islay and Aboli; otherwise, there could be looks. Yes, loooks. Play it cool, Nam. Ah the Professor... "I'm starting to think so... Eclectic yet enthusiastic?"
"So do you guys all know each other? Aboli, this is Islay and Kimmie. Islay, Aboli and Kimmie. Kimmie, Aboli and Islay," he said motioning to each girl before biting his lip to avoid adding, And I'm Noah!
Islay just grinned over to Aboli as she spoke, ”ooh what are you doing to relax?” she asked out of curiosity, and well, maybe she could offer some help – she did after all luxuriate in the art of tranquility whenever she could. ”oh, he does – but its interesting seeing him out of his habitat like we’re all anthropologists studying something rare and exotic” she just grinned over to her for a moment before turning her head toward the crowd of jazzercizers for a moment.
”hey Noah, having fun?” she asked as she reached into her bag and pulled out a small baggy of sour patch kids, ”anyone want any?” she asked as she held out the confection.
”oh come on – they might like it…oh, OOOH it looks like they’re starting” she grinned and looked toward the crowd and then she saw Kimmie jogging over and couldn’t help but wave at the younger girl. ”heeey Kimmie” she smiled softly, ”wanna candy?” and of course she heard Noah’s question and just sort of balked at him – ”oh yeah I met Kimmie the first week of school we had a little adventure in the library and I offered to give a tour of the school whenever we had freetime” she smiled happily. SEE SHE WAS NICE and helpful. Turning to Aboli however Islay just grinned, "its nice to officially y'know meet you in a non-class situation" she gave the Slytherin girl a grin.

Gus had been ready to leave his office when the urge to use the bathroom had happened so he'd had to take a detour. AND THEN he remembered when Finneas had mentioned this and Cassie had piped up to say she was going to join too. Oh no. She was going to be in pink and snapping, wasn't she? Did he have it in his energy levels to cope with her during this? NOPE. But he had a plan of ATTACK.
Gus had rooted through one of his cupboards and dragged out juuuuuuuust what he was looking for before running to join down near the lake. "I'M HERE I'M HERE. ARE WE STRETCHING?! WE'RE STRETCHING!!" The plant man put down his bag and copied the move Finneas was getting them to do. WITH EASE.

She was so excited to see all these students. Snapping for each of them and saying hello as she found her spot. Her eyes looking for her own children or even Hope. She hoped they'd be coming down o join, exercise was very important.
As they got started she started doing her lunges just as he was showing. This was sooooo much fun and she snapped as they kept doing the work. "Woooohoooo" Oh what fun this was and it was just the beginning.
Just as she was about to do another lunge she saw Gus coming, "Oooooh you can come over here. There is plenty of room right here Professor Rainwater." Giving snaps to Gus and waving to make sure he saw that he could easily come workout near her.

Aaaaand here came another one of Noah's million friends. Aboli waved at her, too, and knew it to be none other than Kimberly Amstern. She just nodded at Kim. "I...only just started here, but I believe so. He's funny, isn't he," she said as she watched him...begin. Merlin. He was so awkward it was endearing a bit.
"What're you waiting for, Noah?! Pass the bloody crisps!" she said as she remained in her VERY comfy position. The Ravenclaws in general were an eclectic lot, she thought. Oh look, here came Professor Rainwater as well. This was a hoot! Aboli wasn't even grumpy about her cloud gazing going interrupted! Noah did introductions, and Aboli turned her falsely!Blue eyes on the other girls. "I know them. At least by name," she said with a shrug, much more aloof than she would be if she were with Noah by himself. "Noah, you're officially a GLUE person....bringing people together," she sent a smile his way.
"Um..I WAS cloud gazing and journaling their placements and shapes," she explained to Islay, gesturing vaguely at the smoothly-bound journal next to her. She managed a chuckled... "You're right. It's like we're at the zoo." Watching a RARE SCHMOE in his UNNATURAL HABITAT. She cleared her throat and put on a voice, like a documentarian. "It's a RARE sighting of a Schmoe in the OUTDOORS, his unnatural habitat - see how he STRETCHES and performs actions to keep in shape - and joined by a VERY natural Rainwater in HIS natural habitat... professors at play, if you will, will always be a sight to seeEEeeeEEeeEEe -" she burst into small chuckles as she finished her parody.

"Wait, whaaaaaaat?" Bernie let out a loud laugh at the mental image of Claudine, her fORmEr bEsT fRiEnD, dropping jam all over Blake's head. "Why? What was the purpose of that?" And bless Blake for somehow managing to get that all out of his hair. He had nice hair, you know; it was getting kind of long, but it looked soft, and it was a good brown color... clearly Blake took care of his hair. He probably brushed it like EVERY DAY.
As for avoiding Blaze.... Bernie sighed. Yep, she would do that, even though Claudine was her go-to partner in all her classes.... she sniffed a little. "Classes are okay. Obviously I'm VERY busy being the teaching assistant (TA) in Muggle Studies..." And speaking of Muggle Stuides... were her eyes deceiving her or was Finneas Schmoe out here, by the lake, starting an exercise club of some sort?! "Look, Blake!" Bernie lept up from the ground, Blake's hand still in hers as she took off running toward Schmoe. Yes, yes she was pulling the scaredy snake along with her.
"PROFESSOR SCHMOEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Bernie was now waving hers and Blake's joined hands in the air like she just didn't care. HI HEY HI. "Can we join your exercise class?!"
"I can't remember what caused the issue, she was being her usual rude self I'm sure." Blake added, he truly couldn't remember what the argument had been about. And that's when Blake noticed that the the lake was getting rather busy, lots and lots and LOTS of people showing up for what appeared to be an exercise class. ugh ....
And then Blake felt his hand being waved about. "Bernadette, I don't know about this ...." Blake added using a little extra force to lower their hands together. He didn't really want to do this class .... was it like yoga or zumba ... whatever that thing was, his mom often did them and it didn't sound like a very manly thing to do ... other than Schmoe appearing to teach the class.

K was having difficulty not balking at the atrocity of the Professor's workout wears. Because while looking at the Divination professor and the Muggle Studies professor, they both definitely had their own unique senses of fashion. If one could call it that. She eyed the rest of the Ravenclaws, spotting Avalon in the group as well and making note to ask her later exactly what she thought of the work out ensembles, considering fashion was kind of her thing.
She turned her attention back Noah and the other girls when she heard pleasantries begin to be exchanged and smiled at each of them. She tried to make sure all of the smiles were equal so as not to embarrass herself, but she probably beamed bigger at Noah. Oops? She chuckled hearing him say her name in greeting twice, and gave a small wave in his direction. "Hey, Noah!" Hearing his response, she gave a nod, "I mean... at least we'll probably never have a dull moment in his class?" Small blessings.
Hearing the introductions, she did not bother to confirm she did already know Islay, as the older girl was already clarifying, but she did focus her attention on the other and gave a wave in her direction. "It's nice to meet you, Aboli."
Turning her attention to Islay, K responded with a wave of her own, "Hi Islay! Good to see you," You know, not in class or from underneath a desk. Heh. And then the older girl was offering a bag of candy, and K was never one to refuse food, so she reached out and plucked a random piece from the bag. "Thanks!" She popped the treat into her mouth and tried not to make a face at the sudden sour taste. Hearing the older girl explain how they met, she flashed a quick thumbs up for confirming, since she was chewing, before adding, "Which by the way, would still GLADLY take that offer whenever you have time. I found a swamp the other day in a corridor and now I'm hesitant to explore depending on what else is hiding around here." Because thankfully she had not fallen into the swamp this time, but who knew if there was something worse somewhere?
Hearing Aboli mention that she hadn't been at this school long, K turned her attention back to her for a moment and nodded in clear understanding. "Did you just transfer as well? Where are you originally from?" She glanced back at Schmoe, watching as the crowd now was doing their warm of stretches. At least it looked like most of them had decent form? "Definitely funny, but doesn't seem to be in a bad way at least..."
Hearing Aboli's further commentary, K couldn't help but laugh as she watched the Ravenclaw and Professor grouping. One of the Professor's did seem MUCH more at home that his other companions. "Don't forget Professor Kitridge and her on point finger work out..." K gave a quick couple of snaps with her fingers for emphasis.

Had he seen too eager with his greeting? He did greet her twice but it was because he was excited to see her again. Her comment about classes being amusing with Schmoe made him grin. "I'll hold you to that," he said, winking at her comment. He paused, replaying their interaction back in his mind. Hmmm... Noah could have sworn that Kimmie's smile at him was just a little bit loooonger than the rest of the girl's. He flashed her a smile before he heard... Was that a whine?
Yep. It was coming from Aboli. Aboli's demand (or whine?) for the chips made him chuckle and he passed them to her. That was amusing, he thought. Introductions were done and he heard Aboli say that she already knew them by name. Oh? He glanced at his friend, noting that she was acting with the aloofness of some of the Hogwart's kneazles. She wasn't always this guarded around him, right? Ohh.. It dawned upon him and he remembered how she had been a little aloof with him on the train. That probably meant that she just didn't know what to make of them yet.
Then Islay admitted that she and Kimmie had met prior too. He cringed and turned red when she mentioned he was the GLUE. is that a good thing?" he thought at first before dismissing the thought. No. It was good. He flashed Aboli a carefree smile. "I suppose so. Hopefully its permanent like super glue." He'd tease Aboli later about this moment as a good friend would but he didn't want to give anyone the wrong impression... His eyes flicked back to the Ravenclaws down there and he spotted Jina, a former housemate of his at Ilvermorny. He'd have to catch up with her at some point. She had warned him about how dangerous Hogwarts could be after all and he wanted to ask her more questions about this place.
"I'll take a sour patch," he said, reaching over to Islay to grab a few from the bag. He turned his gaze towards the Ravenclaw group who was beginning to stretch and get ready. "I'd also cheer on, Jina. She's a former housemate of mine."
He fought back a chuckle when Aboli started narrating the wild Schmoe and his ravens in their habitat. She had nailed the narrator's voice on every animal documentary he had heard when he was growing up. He chuckled slightly at Kimmie's comment on Professor Kitridge's finger pointing. "She is on point..." He closed his eyes momentarily, absorbing himself into the music, and then tapped his foot to the beat. "Y'know the music isn't half bad."

"Come on, Blaaaaaaaake," she gave him a LOOK. "You're always saying no to every idea I have, and I'm not even the one who ORGANIZED this class." Plus, look! She pointed to Schmoe, in his embarrassingly short shorts, who had YELLED BACK that they were welcome to join in. "We can't let Schmoe down! You'll hurt his feelings!"
So, of course she dropped into a bow, streeeeeeeeeetching her arms dowwwwwwwn down down in a swan dive, and then up up up up to the sky. What fun THIS was! "It feels good in the sun!" Let them enjoy it before it became winter!!!

Noah did introductions, and Aboli turned her falsely!Blue eyes on the other girls. "I know them. At least by name," she said with a shrug, much more aloof than she would be if she were with Noah by himself. "Noah, you're officially a GLUE person....bringing people together," she sent a smile his way.
"Um..I WAS cloud gazing and journaling their placements and shapes," she explained to Islay, gesturing vaguely at the smoothly-bound journal next to her. She managed a chuckled... "You're right. It's like we're at the zoo." Watching a RARE SCHMOE in his UNNATURAL HABITAT. She cleared her throat and put on a voice, like a documentarian. "It's a RARE sighting of a Schmoe in the OUTDOORS, his unnatural habitat - see how he STRETCHES and performs actions to keep in shape - and joined by a VERY natural Rainwater in HIS natural habitat... professors at play, if you will, will always be a sight to seeEEeeeEEeeEEe -" she burst into small chuckles as she finished her parody.

Because while looking at the Divination professor and the Muggle Studies professor, they both definitely had their own unique senses of fashion. If one could call it that. She popped the treat into her mouth and tried not to make a face at the sudden sour taste. Hearing the older girl explain how they met, she flashed a quick thumbs up for confirming, since she was chewing, before adding, "Which by the way, would still GLADLY take that offer whenever you have time. I found a swamp the other day in a corridor and now I'm hesitant to explore depending on what else is hiding around here." Because thankfully she had not fallen into the swamp this time, but who knew if there was something worse somewhere?
Hearing Aboli mention that she hadn't been at this school long, K turned her attention back to her for a moment and nodded in clear understanding. "Did you just transfer as well? Where are you originally from?" She glanced back at Schmoe, watching as the crowd now was doing their warm of stretches. At least it looked like most of them had decent form? He fought back a chuckle when Aboli started narrating the wild Schmoe and his ravens in their habitat. She had nailed the narrator's voice on every animal documentary he had heard when he was growing up. He chuckled slightly at Kimmie's comment on Professor Kitridge's finger pointing. "She is on point..." He closed his eyes momentarily, absorbing himself into the music, and then tapped his foot to the beat. "Y'know the music isn't half bad."

Professor Kitridge’s PINK ensemble was almost blindingly bright, but it wasn’t at all bad. “I think its good, it means you’d likely keep friendships together? It’s a super power” Islay nodded and grinned over to him as she passed him the bag of sour candies.
Aboli’s commentary was BRILLIANT, and Noah – well. He wasn’t wrong about the music. It made you want to move. “maybe we could do our own dance thing together sometime?” she offered as she shrugged her shoulder.

Missa would have normally passed a smile to the group but today she found herself AVOIDING anyone’s eyes who would make fun of her. Professor Schmoe was great but his threshold for embarrassment stretched much more than hers did.
When the music started, Missa found herself amused, and less embarrassed when Professor Gus showed up too. If the professors could do it, she could too. Following her head of house, Missa attempted to stretch - forgetting the stares, UNTIL she heard Aboli.

Feeling just as cheeky, she turned around to look at the girl, and smirked.
“YOU are joining us” she decided, not taking no for an answer at all - before moving toward the girl, and holding out her hands to pull her up. “You look like you have awesome legs, and you really should stretch them if you want them to stay that way”

She made a face as she stood up and felt herself being leaaaaaad into the midst of the jazzercise. "How would you know? You've never even SEEN my legs..." And.

She gave a fake groan at his words, "Does that mean it's not my responsibility to make muggle studies interesting if Professor Schmoe doesn't?" Not that she thought the Professor would ever be boring -- but also, she didn't mind the idea of trying to make the class fun on occasion. Especially if it gave her an excuse to hang out with him.
She laughed again when Islay commented on the swamp and how she had possibly fallen into in her first year at Hogwarts. "The one up on the upperish floors?" At least, she assumed it was upper floors. But then again, she really had been utterly lost. "I thankfully didn't fall in - but almost." Although, pretty much any of her clothes were disposable. Minus a couple of stolen sweaters she'd prefer to keep. "Are there any other potential dangerous places I should look to avoid? Either for the sake of my body or my clothing?"
Turning her attention to Islay again, she nodded as the girl spoke, answering her previous question regarding background. "Do you have siblings that schooled with you as well?" Being a teacher, K's mom had often offered to let all of the Amstern kids stay home and continue their education with her. And her Dad having home schooled him up until he was in his 4th year, it was an idea he had encouraged as well. She much preferred being out of the house, although maybe it would have been better with her siblings. "At least you're able to try again for a boarding school this time around. You liking it better?" She hoped she was anyways.
Hearing the question about her own background, K grinned at Aboli's accent attempt, giving a small chuckle of appreciation. "I'm actually from America as well, Alaska specifically. Just transferred from Ilvermony too -- although I didn't know Noah there." She flashed him a quick smile. "There's a couple of the professor's that scare me just a little bit", The Headmaster and then K's own Head of House, "But they all seem fairly genuine and interested in actually teaching us." It definitely wasn't just lectures thus far, at least there was that.
Focusing on the group of Ravenclaws again, K nodded her head to Noah's comment about the music. It most definitely was catchy. And she couldn't help but let her foot lightly tap along. She was half wishing she could just go ahead and join, although it did look like a house bonding situation type...
Although, one of the Ravenclaw's was pulling Aboli into the group, and one of the Professor's was also yelling out an invitation to them all. And honestly, that was all the rest K needed to convince her. It's not like she wasn't already wearing her comfy exercise clothes and had her hair tied back. Grinning at the other two, she gave a slight shrug, "I think I actually am going to join. I love to move too much just to observe them."

Wasn't Gus just the funniest? Cassie continued to lunge and stretch just as they were being told and she watched the children with a huge grin. Where was her daughter and son at for this? She would have to speak to them about joining in on healthy activities, but for now she just continued to have fun with everyone around her that included Gus who was talking about her snaps. This only made her laugh and snap more.
"Oh don't be silly, Jazzerices is made for dancing and being loud. Snaps just are a great way to show your excitement instead of crashing your hands together like you do clapping." She had learned at an early age that she liked snapping more than clapping, "You know what else is sooooo fun, saying Wooohooo durning songs. It helps push air out and just makes things sound like a good time."

”No worries, Ms. Morin!” Finneas bellowed as he continued to dive forward. ”It’s never too late to join in,” this was also said for the benefits of those onlookers. Finneas lifted himself all the way up, arms raised to the sky and big smile plastered on his face when he saw Gus running over. Speaking of the sky, was it ..... getting darker? Must just be a trick of the eye. It sure did look like it had a tinge of purple. Huh. Eyes were strange things. No matter, Gus was here and that was where Schmoe shifted his attention to momentarily.
”Professor Rainwater,” he grinned big. ”HULLO, you’re not late at all!” Jazzercise made Finneas feel less awkward than usual. It was working it’s ~magic~ clearly. Fortunately for all, Schmoe hadn’t overheard Aboli’s narration as he was quite busy listening to the music and leading in stretches. ”Mr. Ryan! We’re, er, all friends here!” Yes some encouragement. Finneas could encourage as he lead.
”ARMS TO THE RIGHT EVERYONE,” he called out, moving his arms up in the air and to the right. ”TO THE LEFT!” To the beat. Right. Left. Right. Left. ”Wonderful form, Ms. Grantham!” he noted, power pointing her way, as he moved his arms to the right again.
Finneas was just about in his own little world now. With no idea what was going on between Missa and Aboli. Nor what was being discussed between Cassie and Gus. He was so focused on JAZZERCISE. ”LIFT YOUR KNEES EVERYONE, ONE AT A TIME,” knee kicks. To the beat! OH SONG CHANGE. He wanted to be more calm in calling out the moves, but errrrr the Great Lake did not provide the right acoustics.

Following her head of house’s instructions, she moved her arms to the right, then to the left. She tried to focus on the music and clear her mind just like Professor Schmoe, but it was difficult to do so with so much going on around her.
First of all, when she looked up at the sky to stretch her neck, she noticed that it was already getting dark. Oh it was going to rain again, ugh. The purple tinge to the sky was odd, but she was too annoyed by the thought of rain to question it further. Secondly, Professor Kitridge’s finger snapping was too distracting. Professor Rainwater was arguing with her about it too, adding to the noise. Jina empathised with both of them, and they were great teachers, but she was nevertheless irritated. “Woohoo,” she muttered as she exhaled. It actually did help to push air out, but it did not make her sound like she was having a good time.
And of course there were the spectators. She was already feeling embarrassed about being watched, and now the Slytherin girl was doing a documentary parody. Yes, they should all join jazzercise! Then no one has to feel self-conscious. She smiled and beckoned at Noah and his friends to join too. She then moved on to do knee kicks.

Noah's smile grew larger at Kimmie's comment. "Oh no, it is certainly your responsibility still to make Muggle Studies entertaining. I think Mr. Schmoe may help," he added, throwing her a wink.
"Aboli," whined Noah, pretending to sound like a younger sibling. "Pass the chipssssss." He refused to call them crisps ever since Aboli's cringe-worthy American accent. "Besides, I'm not American. I'm Korean. I speak English with an American accent." Noah glanced over at Islay, offering a kind smile. "I think we should! It'd be fun."
Noah glanced back to Aboli. "C'mon Aboli. If we weren't... I think you'd miss me too much," he admitted wiggling his eyebrows before winking at her so that she knew it was a joke. Ah.. Aboli. What a grand friend indeed. He laughed when she mentioned strong professional spray glue. "Deal, Miss Song."
Noah listened to the girls interact, happily humming to themself as they carried the conversation. He was glad that they seemed to get along. It was refreshing to see that. Then all of a sudden Aboli was being yanked towards the dancing group and Kimmie then made a comment about wanting to join. If Kimmie was joining, oh Noah Nam was certainly in. "Wait. Kim. Wait up," he called out before turning to Islay. "Islaaay. Come on."
And with that he headed over following Aboli being dragged and Kimmier happily joining.
Islay just shrugged her shoulder and grinned, “Oh I would, I mean…I want to practice for my paintings” she smiled and shrugged, and honestly it all made sense to her. The wanting to explore on her own. “Oh no problem, I figured it all out myself when I got here…” she added with a grin.
Islay just grinned, “naaah, he makes it interesting himself,” Islay grinned over to Kimmie “YES, that swamp!” she grinned and when Kimmie asked about sibblings she shrugged, “sort of…my adoptive sister Genvieve went here with me but she’s graduated now” she smiled softly and grinned as she mentioned Alaska. “You know, I’ll join in too” she smiled.
Aboli had a point, superglue was too much. “Oh, ‘course we’ll join Missa,” she smiled over to the Ravenclaw prefect. “OKAY PROFESSOR RAINWATER,” she called back to Professor Rainwater as he called them over as well. SHE COULD DO THIS, she would do this without feeling awkward or embarrassed she was just going to do it.
OH COME ON SHE HAD SAID SHE WAS JOINING, “oh ooooon I said I was coming” Islay laughed as she jumped up and bounded over to join her group of friends. “lets have fun” she said to them with a BIG old grin on her face.
Moving her arms to the right and to the left she followed along with Professor Schmoe's directions and just couldn't HELP smile. THIS was fun.

Wowwwwwww, Claudine. Bernie just shook her head and finally let go of Blake's hand, since he was (as usual) trying to talk her out of her great ideas.
"Come on, Blaaaaaaaake," she gave him a LOOK. "You're always saying no to every idea I have, and I'm not even the one who ORGANIZED this class." Plus, look! She pointed to Schmoe, in his embarrassingly short shorts, who had YELLED BACK that they were welcome to join in. "We can't let Schmoe down! You'll hurt his feelings!"
So, of course she dropped into a bow, streeeeeeeeeetching her arms dowwwwwwwn down down in a swan dive, and then up up up up to the sky. What fun THIS was! "It feels good in the sun!" Let them enjoy it before it became winter!!!
Blake's face feel slightly when she let go of a his hand, okay well what did he expect did they really be holding hands for forever. Blake smiled while Bernadette started doing something of some kind a of yoga.
"I think I'll just watch if you're okay with that?" Blake sat back down on the grass to watch the class, he wasn't the yoga type, he really wasn't.

Well, this wasn't too bad. At least the moves were fairly simple and easy-to-follow. Avalon had taken some dance lessons as a kid, but not nearly enough to confidently label herself a "dancer." She didn't have too much to worry about, though, because Schmoe certainly wasn't a dancer, either, nor were most of the other Ravenclaws down by the lake. And Professor Rainwater had joined them, too. Avalon gave him a smile in greeting.
Speaking of other people down by the lake, Avalon couldn't help but notice a group of onlookers as she followed Professor Schmoe's dance steps. She gave them a big wave. Professor Rainwater had already encouraged them to join, and it seemed like some of them were making their way over. "Hey guys! Join the fun!" she said to Kimmie, Noah, and Aboli. "We better soak this up, because this will likely be the only time at Hogwarts that we can dance like this without judgment," Avalon added with a laugh.
Oh, they were moving to knee kicks now! Stepping it up a notch. And it was pretty hilarious that Professor Schmoe had taken to screaming out the dance moves.

Oh, no, she shook her head firmly at Blake; he was NOT going to sit this one out. "BLAKE, BLAKE, BLAKE BLAKE RYAN!" Bernie now power-pointed to him in sync with the music, then did a high kick over his head as he sat down. "GET ON UP AND LET'S DANCE!!!!!!!!" She shimmied over in front of him and then around him in a circle, one hundred percent YELLING to be heard over the boombox. "I know you can dance because Schmoe taught us how at Beauxbatons!!!!!!!!!!" He couldn't forget that! She'd given him a bloody nose for it and everything. And if he DIDN'T DANCE WITH HER....
...well, rejection sucked. Bernie tried not to make a wibble face, because she was TRYING to forget about being unfriended by Claudine today. COME ON, BLAKE, DON'T LET HER DOWN.

The sky was darker than usual. A strange tint of purple that is not all too noticeable at first. Perhaps if you concentrate closely, you will notice that the colour is gradually darkening over time. A gradual darkening from dark blue to purple to red.
A red sky? How odd.
After a moment or two the red starts fading away. From red to purple to dark blue. Had the sky really turned red? Or were your eyes playing tricks on you?
K rolled her eyes teasingly when Noah commented that it was actually her job to keep Muggle Studies interesting, and she nearly whined about that meaning she would have to continuously attend before she realized the Professor was probably within hearing distances. So instead she just winked back, "I'll try my hardest to live up to the job."
Turning to Islay, K chuckled again at the idea of Islay actually falling into the swamp, but she tried to stifle it. It probably wasn't very nice to laugh at one's friends was it? "I mean, at least now you know where it is and to avoid it? And so do I!" Because positivity. "How old is your adopted sister? Did you guys have a large age gap?" K and her eldest sisters had a gap of about 7 years, which meant they weren't really at school together.
But then she was already following after Aboli being dragged to the group, but paused when she heard Noah call out her name. Turning she raised an eyebrow as she waited for the two, and when they began to move as well she made her way closer to the large group and found herself a spot to stand near Avalon. She smiled brightly at her friend, giving a small wave, "Hey! I don't know, I think we can all work on our confidence enough to just not care in the future and dance anyways." She could anyways.
K stretched herself out briefly before imitating the rest of the group and following along with the knee lifts. It felt good to be moving, and it was nice to see such a large group participating!
She was having so much fun already, she didn't even notice the change in color to the sky.

That wink.... Merlin. He offered Kimmie a smirk in response before nudging her with his elbow. "I'll hold you to that, Miss Amstern." Now she would HAVE to show up to class. Heh. Mission accomplished.
Suuure... Islay was coming. Well to be honest, he trusted that she would actually show up. Aboli on the other hand... She was the wild card... Sometimes she was just so sweet and warm and then she was cold and aloof like his calico cat. That was exactly how she acted. Noah was convinced of that now. Yes, very convinced.
Noah paused a moment before darting off after Kimmie. When he turned to his right, he saw Islay beside him who was already getting her dance on. Now this was fun. He joined in, losing himself to the instructions and perhaps showing off his sense of rhythm to his fellow dancer Amstern over there. He caught the eye of a train friend - Avalon! "Avalon! Hey!" he grinned, offering her a smile.
He liked the Ravenclaw group. They were a pretty swell group of cool cats.
He continued to dance before he paused slightly and glanced up. Why... Why did the sky look like that? He rubbed his eyes. Must have been something wrong with his eyesight surely...
