Alright, potions! Admittedly, it was one of the more favourable classes for the Gryffindor. This was in part because of all the remedial lessons he'd had with the professor over the years and partly because of its practical nature. There was always a decent chance that when he showed up, he would be DOING something and that went a long way with this one. It was for this reason that Kodee Chosen wasn't dragging his feet as he walked into the lab.

Lab coat and glasses? Got it.

Kodee shrugged into the coat before slapping the glasses like a real scientist. Snort. As if.

"Hey, bestfriend." He greeted with a wide grin as he turned to face Noble. People may not have known it, but they'd been buds for literal years...whether the man chose to admit it or not.

"Not sure where this is going but if we gotta suit up, it's gotta be good."

Consider him READY.

Hmm hmm hmm, this place was awfully bright today, wasn't it? Bernie blinked more than a few times as she picked up her lab coat, slipped it on, and then grabbed her pair of safety goggles. She didn't put those on yet, though, as she made her way to a seat near the front. NEAR the front but NOT near Kodee Chosen, whom she merely EYED and AVOIDED.

"G'day, professor," she greeted the Potions expert, fully determined to NOT lose House Points today. Hadn't she had a rocky enough year already?

Claudine was always grateful that the professors took their time to make sure that their classrooms were sufficiently warm. Was it just her or was it a little too bright in here? She squinted a bit in Noble’s direction. “Hi, Professor.’’ Noble was a good man, an even better professor (even if he did look extra serious today). Claudine enjoyed the lessons very much. Potions was her best subject.

As she made her way to the near back of the classroom (after taking the coat and glasses), the Snakette wondered what was in that box. Some exotic potion? Exotic Potion ingredients?? Who knew. Claudine couldn’t wait to find out what it was and she took her seat with high expectations.

Isla made her way into the potions classroom, not expecting anything different or out of the ordinary. It was a somewhat welcome change to see a little more light, even though as a Slytherin and now a dungeon-dweller, she'd kind of gotten used to a little darkness.

There was something about the professor's gaze that said 'don't talk to me', but Isla decided to at least say hello anyway. "Hello, Professor," she said, just as she passed him by. Her eyes also caught sight of the box beside him, but she didn't really pay it any extra attention for now. Wasn't there always some kind of hidden something in most of her classes? She'd find out in all good time.

Before taking her seat, she picked up a lab coat and some safety glasses. What exactly were they doing today? Extra light? Coats and safety glasses? Sounded awesome! She didn't say another word as she took a seat and waited for things to get started.

Nina truly enjoyed potions, though she wasn't so much a fan of their Professor. Noble was a decent Professor, but his stern temperament was not one Nina liked. She enjoyed being treated like a princess and he did not treat her as such, which was quite upsetting. It also didn't help that she had pretended to be terrible at potions ever since she transferred to Hogwarts in her third year. Of course, Nina was quite good at the subject (as was reflected in her recent examination scores).

Unfortunately, Professors received a copy of their scores... Which meant that the act was over and Noble knew. This made Nina highly uncomfortable, which was likely why she hurried her way into the classroom and grabbed a coat and glasses without saying a single word. Not that she would have said a word otherwise, but she also tried to avoid eye contact. Once she found an empty workstation, she set her things down and carefully put her coat on. She'd save the glasses for when they actually began because surely they would make her look absolutely ridiculous and she did not want to wear them a moment longer than she had to.

Lab coat. Check.

Safety glasses. Check.

Phoebe bundled the items under her arm as she looked for a good seat. Somewhere she was unlikely to get too much or too little attention. She finally plunked into a seat in the middle of the room and struggled into her glasses and coat.

And greeted the professor. "Hello, Professor Noble! That's a nice box you have there. Bet it's full of somethin' exciting."

Avalon was pretty proud of herself. She had made it through the term so far without looking like a complete fool in Potions class. She supposed the extra studying she had done over the summer helped slightly with her potion-making abilities. Although she couldn't quite say yet that she actually enjoyed the class.

Making her way into the dungeons, she was surprised to find that the classroom was unusually bright. That was definitely a good thing. With winter approaching, the days had been getting more dreary, so the young Ravenclaw was thankful for any type of extra light and warmth. She picked up a lab coat and safety goggles, a sure sign that today's lesson might be extra difficult, she supposed.

"Good day, Professor," Avalon said politely, taking her seat. She gave Professor Noble an uneasy smile, noticing the particularly unhappy expression on his face. If Noble was as displeased already as he appeared, today might be a tough lesson indeed.

Potions was the one of those subjects that Jillian just can't get enough of. She comes into this class almost ready and positive.... must be the potion fumes lol. Since the classroom was near their common room, she did have an ample time to get ready- mainly just bringing the necessary things like her book and maybe extra parchment in case she needs to write stuff down.

Upon arrival she took spotted the professor at his desk, with a polite smile she greeted the man "Hello, Professor" before moving to get a coat and a pair of goggles then sat on one of the chairs. She tidied up her hair into a ponytail before wearing the goggles. She hates having all the hair in her face, it was better this way.

Potions was a class that could always lift Eiji's spirits. Almost no matter what. He was hoping today would be the case. Though the brightness of the room took him aback when he first stepped inside, causing him to think for a moment that he had stepped into the wrong space. It felt...sterile, that sort of bright light, and the sixth year was not sure what to make of it all.

"Professor Noble," he greeted the man with a curt nod of the head as he collected a lab coat and safety glasses as instructed. Curious indeed, Eiji had a hunch that today he would need to be even more selective about who he sat with. Which ruled out a few of his usual suspects and drew his green hazel-green eyes to his housemate.

"Jillian," he greeted as he slid into the spot beside her when he was suddenly reminded of a key bit of information his grandpa had let slip one day over the summer, something he had forgotten until just now. "....did you know that your dad and my parents were at Hogwarts together?"

It was unusual for him to be chatty, to say the least, but this had tickled his curiosity a bit too much.

Walking into the potion’s classroom was somewhat of a relief for the tall Ravenclaw prefect. Surprisingly, it wasn’t as cold as anticipated which was always an added bonus, especially this time of year at Hogwarts. With the usual dark, gloomy classroom brighter than usual, he couldn’t help but wonder what they were going to be doing today as he went and picked up a lab coat and safety glasses at once before finally going to join the rest of the students. Throwing them on at once, not really bothering to think twice about if he looked stupid or not, his mind turned to the lesson at hand. If they needed safety equipment like this, it must be something a little dangerous.

“Good morning Professor” his eyes sliding from the potion masters face to the large polystyrene lidded box for a moment. “Do you need a hand with anything sir?” Potions had been one of his better classes and his OWL results had shown this. He’d been happy with them at least. Besides that, he actually enjoyed it. Reading the ridged set of instructions, placing the ingredients in a set order and following the minute details. There was just something about it that gave him an odd satisfaction. So, was it strange for him to offer help? Not really. Part of him was curious to know what was inside the box, half guessing it was something that they would have to come and collect when the lesson starts. The other half just wanted to be helpful because, that is what prefects are for.

Potions was a class that Cole dreaded. He always felt nervous when it came to potion making. He always feared that he'd mix the wrong amount of ingredients and cause a great mess of his cauldron or somebody elses. Luckily he had so far not managed to melt his cauldron, but he did still have some burn scars from last year's mess up. "Good day Professor Noble!" Cole greeted their potions master upon entrance to the classroom with a plastered on bright smile. Fetching a pair of safety goggles and lab coat Cole made his way over to where Ewan was sitting. After putting on the lab coat, he placed the goggles on the desk before sitting down next to the slightly older prefect. Turning to the other boy Cole asked in a low whisper "Ewan, can you help me not mess up this lesson? I don't want to burn anymore fingers."

Ah Potions. Of all of the classes at Hogwarts, this one had the greatest potential for disaster. Nonetheless, Naya was determined to make a good show of it today. No matter what. Entering the classroom, she glanced toward the professor. He looked.........rather intense. Hoping that that was not a preview of things to come, she greeted the man cheerfully. ”Hello Professor”. It was going to be okay.

Naya stopped and got her lab coat and goggles before heading toward her seat. Noticing her housemates, Phoebe and Cole, she gave each one a wave before sitting down. She took a few minutes to get her things in order and then waited patiently for class to begin.

Blake was rather excited for potions today! Nearly bouncing with excited he entered the class room. Gave the Professor a friendly smile and a "Hello" Grabbed is lab coat and safety classes as instructed and took a seat looking around.

He wondered if he would see Bernadette or Claudine ... or did he even really want to see them. Where was Isla ... she at least didn't seem to be offended by his dance moves. Also he was beginning to wonder why he only had friends who were girls ...

Jillian was fidgeting the ends of hair while waiting for class to start. It was very quiet just the way Professor Noble likes it. In a way, she did as well. She was caught by surprised when Eiji sat next to him. They barely talk to each other at most and the last time this happened Jillian was at Beauxbaton and she was at awe by how much Potions knowledge the guy knew. Quite impressive.

His question though left her rather silent for a few seconds. She shook her head and thought back if her father mentioned anything about his parents. Apparently none come to mind except for his grandfather. Her father works for him currently. "Not really. My dad and I don't talk a lot. He's busy." she said in a hushed tone. "yes my father used to be a Slytherin. Are yours the same?" she added. Maybe she should ask her father about this when she gets home during the break.

Potion's was Catherine's favourite class, so she was always happy to get there. That and also she really appreciated professor Noble's demeanour and the way he conducted his lessons. So much better than the pointless spectacle some others tried to do for some reason. They didn't need entertainers, they needed serious teachers and professor Noble was one.

He would be the only professor of their school she'd be happy to greet out loud (quietly still, of course), but maybe it was the fact he told them to get ready quickly and quietly that also made him her favourite. She didn't need to speak for no reason, and so she wouldn't.

Catherine got a lab coat and safety glasses and put them on, immediately feeling more proper and ready to work. Moving to her usual seat and the front(ish) and near one of the walls, she got her belongings ready and waited patiently for class to begin.

........... Uh? The room was weirder than normal today, wasn't it?

Clutching a lab coat and a pair of goggles, Lucas stopped to slowly take a look around the room, taking in as much as he could but especially the orbs. They were bright - too bright for the room and too TOO bright to look anywhere near - but there was also something about them that were enough to cause a smile to spread itself across the fifth year's face. Could they touch them? Hold them? Keep one of them?

Something told him that the answer for all three was a simple no. Something like the look on Noble's face.

Uh. Right. Yeah.

"Hey, Professor," he said softly, giving him a small smile as he shuffled over to an empty seat. Setting his things down, he first tugged on the lab coat before strapping on the safety goggles, feeling a little....... better about whatever it is they were going to do. Or safer. Whatever it was, it wasn't likely to hurt them if they had a lab coat and goggles on.......

........ right?

After three months of attending classes at Hogwarts, Heath had gotten used to the professors. Most of the teachers who once frightened him didn't seem quite so scary anymore, but Professor Noble still scared him just as much as the first time he walked through the classroom door. The dark-haired Ravenclaw took a deep breath to steel his nerve as he stepped into the room. "Hello, Professor," he greeted. By some miracle, he was able to get the words out without stuttering!

Heath wasted no time in picking up a lab coat and glasses, as per the professor's instructions. He shrugged into the coat and strapped on the glasses as he scurried off to a seat toward the back. It was only when he was settled that he turned his attention to the box at the front of the room. What was in there? For one fleeting moment, he thought it might be a vicious man-eating creature/plant, but this wasn't DADA or COMC or even Herbology. He figured whatever was in the box probably wouldn't attack him… or at least he hoped it wouldn't!

Lab coat had been shrugged on, goggles placed over her eyes, and Cecelia Summers was ready for some... potioneering...?...!

"Hello Professor," The second year greeted cheerfully on her way to her seat, making quick work of it as the man in charge didn't seem like the type who stood for dawdling. She was excited for this, did he know? It probably wouldn't come as a surprise, but it didn't make it any less true.

Now WHAT was in that box?

Charlie walked into the room. She still wasn’t sure about Professor Nobel but she figured she should at least give it the good ol try to act like she liked it. She heard the instructions about grabbing her coat and goggles. She grabbed her cost and goggles before she did a quick sweep of the classroom.

Realizing her manners she turned to their Professor, “hello Professor” now she could get back tk figuring out where to sit. She actually wasn’t too sure where she should sit today. Letting her eyes sweep the room she took note of the familiar faces. Finally deciding, she sat a seat behind Catherine she still wasn’t so certain that the girl didn’t hate her.

After encountering Helga Hufflepuff earlier in the term near the kitchens, Carys was keeping well aware of her surroundings on the trip down to Potions. Her sister had mentioned seeing Gryffindor, and she’d heard rumors of Slytherin sightings as well, so she was definitely starting to wonder what was going on. Even if she still didn’t believe the theory that it was all some sort of elaborate Polyjuice plot, it was definitely odd. Besides, she figured Professor Noble would know if it was all due to a potion.

Although she wasn’t planning on asking her head of house that question, and his expression would have stopped her even if she had thought about asking it. She wasn’t afraid of the professor at all, but she also knew not to bring up unnecessary topics during a lesson. Instead, she’d merely taken a lab coat and goggles, slipping both on as she headed to her usual workstation, turning to give him a smile as she got herself settled in. “Good day, Professor Noble,” she added, before lapsing into the requested silence again, quietly wondering what was in the box. Were they working on antidotes again maybe?

Valencia blinked a few times as her eyes adjusted to the properly lighted classroom. She was not used to the dungeons being so light.

"Hello Professor." she greeted after adjusting. She then quickly grabbed the safety equipment and took her seat. Something about the Professors expression gave her the distinct impression to get to her seat quickly.

Tom couldn't wait to see what they were going to do today. "Hi Professor." He smiled politely before taking a lab coat and some safety goggles, he then fleed towards his seat... something about the Professor was scaring him a little bit and he didn't want to get into trouble.

Potions, this was a class Chloe enjoyed and she made her way in. "Hello Professor Noble, I hope you are doing... well." Something about his look seemed to say he wasn't doing well and that Chloe should shut up and go find her seat.

Grabbing a lab coat and slipping it on she took her goggles and headed for a seat. Finding one in the middle she set the goggles down and grabbed her necessary items for the day out of her bag. Placing her bag on the floor she sat down and stayed quiet, Noble might be the Hufflepuff ehad of house but he wasn't one that seemed to be in a very puffy mood.. ever really.

Awww man! he wasn't the first in class, AGAIN!

Minjae had RACED towards the potions classroom the moment he found out that he had a lesson there today. He didn't know which subject he liked the best, DADA or Potions. Although he would probably say potions in the potions classroom and DADA in the DADA classroom.

He could not explain why he enjoyed potions so much. Maybe because it was because he was so idle-minded most of the time and this subject actually required him to focus? Or maybe he secretly did like cooking? Whatever the reason, the Hufflepuff was never in a bad mood when he entered the potions classroom.

The fourteen year old had seen the other students grabbing a lab coat and goggles so he followed them and put one on as well. As he was placing his safety glasses on top of his head, he walked past the Professor who looked not very pleased today. Quietly? Did that mean he couldn't speak? or? "Hi Professor Noble" he whispered! Whispering was quietly right?
