There is a section of the common room to the left of the entrance that is always partitioned off both physically and with noise cancelling charms. This is the loudest area and also the most useful to any and all Ombrelune students - the wall of famous Ombrelune alumni. The portraits exist to keep the old ways of Ombrelune house alive in the young generations, and students are welcome to ask about anything they may fancy. Whether it be help with a particularly difficult astronomical chart, study advice from great potioneers of old or any deep discussions about the renowned Maison D'Ombrelune, these portraits are happy to be of service. Mostly. It is wise to remind them, on occasion, that they did volunteer to have their portrait be placed on this esteemed wall.

There are several armchairs dotting the sectioned off space, and some ladder stools in case the portraits you wish to speak with are higher up. In addition, the portraits insist that students please schedule appointments with them. They're all incredibly important you see, and cannot be expected to be present at the school every hour of every day. When the alumni are absent, the area is utterly silent and can be utilized by any student looking for some quiet minutes of solitude.

In an effort to be accommodating to the Ravenclaw guests, the portraits belonging to the witches and wizards able to speak the English language have agreed (begrudgingly) to do so should any student request it.
