| | Bellefeuille Table Here at the table of green and floral patterns, you have the pleasure of being seated where students of Bellefeuille call their own. It's a night of extravagance and excellence within the wide Dining Chamber of Beauxbatons. A gentle music floats through the room, just loud enough to be soothing without drowning out the little pockets of conversation here and there. The table cloths have been laid and straighten to perfection--do mind that you don't tug or displace them.
Each table is fitted with it's own wares; goblets, ceramic plates with intricate designs, pitchers of both water and and chilled pumpkin juice. There is to be no roughhousing at the feast. The Headmistress has every intention of having a serene evening as she graciously welcomes you to L'Académie de Magie Beauxbâtons.
This is not Hogwarts and you will not treat it like Hogwarts. Avoid loud noises, refrain from banging the tables or gnawing on your fell schoolmates. There's quite a bit of room, as the students of Beauxbatons have already had their own feast the day before. Remain standing until the Headmistress has entered and taken her seat. It's a sign of respect. The speech will be along shortly. Year: 6 - 7

| A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
This was it. His final year. And he was going to make the best of it. Dorian could not stop looking around the room as he entered the Great Hall for their welcome feast. This was nothing like Hogwarts and he suddenly felt extremely out of place as he wore his second hand Ravenclaw robe. He sighed as he looked down at his robe and straightened it with his hands before he unpinned his Head Boy badge and put it back on properly.
The sixth and seventh years were to be seated at the Bellefeuille table and as he walked towards it, he could hear a gentle kind of music playing in the background. Even the table cloth neatly placed on top of the table was straightened to perfection. He could actually like Beauxbaton because of this.
Remembering what they had been told on how things worked at Beauxbaton, Dorian found a place where he wanted to sit and stood behind his seat as he waited for the Headmistress to enter. He was extremely curious about this woman.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Jacoby Rivers Hufflepuff Sixth Year Hogwarts RPG Name: Callista Rivers Gryffindor Second Year | Stealthy Ninja Queen | Snake For Life | waddling baker | binge royalty ♚ After making sure all of the straggling students of Hogwarts made it through the foyer he entered the room where they were to eat. His blue eyes were looking all around. This place was nice. He had been a few places that were this nice and they were usually the kind of places that his mama was teaching at for the term. He had been informed that the tables were by year... which felt weird but he wasn’t going to ever say no to hanging out with his older friends from other houses. He just wished he could put the first year snakes at ease once they were sorted but figured the second year snakes would be able to do that themselves.
He noticed Dorian was standing down the way. He figured now was as good of time as any to talk to him. “Hey man. Congrats on head boy. You’ll do amazing, even if things are a bit weird this term.” he tried to smile and sound friendly because Patrick Dooley felt like even more of a fish out of water. His American accent wasn’t weird anymore at Hogwarts, but here, well here he was fairly certain he was going to get asked to repeat things left and right.
Grabbing a seat across from Dorian and a few down he stood behind the seat not really understanding why they had to stand until the Headmistress came in. Obviously he’d do it anyways because he had a badge on his chest that said prefect.

| Lovely™ | Captain Hurted | Ariana's Bane | Resident Antagonist | Unparalleled Delight Just when Kaiser thought nothing else was going to make him feel so utterly out of place, something new cropped up. Just to keep from giving himself anymore unpleasant surprises, he had decided that from this moment on, he was only going to expect extravagance and grandeur of the highest order.
Anyway, this Great Hall- or, er... Dining Chamber? Too much. Aside from the fact that the very little of the building he'd seen already made him feel even more like he didn't belong, he also just couldn't help but think that the extravagance was completely unnecessary. Like, to the extent that it was starting to tick him off. How he was going to get through an entire term of this, he would never know.
Entering the Dining Chamber, Kaiser headed to the Bellefeuille house table with the other sixth and seven years. Beautiful leaf. There were only two other houses, Papillonlisse (smooth butterfly) and Ombrelune (moon shadow). Kaiser didn't know anything about the actual house traits to figure which he would have been sorted into had he attended Beauxbatons, but going by names and house colours alone, he preferred Ombrelune. He had to sit at Bellefeuille, though, so here he was.
Reaching the table, Kaiser glanced towards the staff table and noted both throne-like chairs were occupied. Assuming this meant that the non-Trent one held the Beauxbatons headmistress, Kaiser went ahead and sat right down.
Which was good, because he especially disliked the whole literal standing on ceremony thing.
He wasn't the first at the table either, Patrick was here, and so was Dorian who he'd paired with in that one Defence Against the Dark Arts class last year, and who was now - squint - the new Head Boy. Kaiser nodded at them both. "Hey."

| Unforgivably Cursed | adultescent Beauxbatons was already a sight to behold, and Gunnar reminded himself that if he and his siblings had never been sent to Hogwarts, then this would have been the school that they'd attend. A good deal of his extended family went here at some point or another. And he thought it pretty cool that his cousins had transferred here. But none of this was something he'd dwell on much right now. There was far too much on his mind.
And he tried not to think about who may or may not be returning to school with them. But by the looks of it and as the day went further on, it appeared that he really wouldn't be coming back.
But Gunnar had prefect duties to attend to, a new school to become accustomed with, and a little brother to look out for, now that he was a first year this term. He'd have to deal with other things later. And once he finally caught up to Morgan to make sure he was with the other first years waiting to be sorted, the newly appointed prefect headed over to the Bellefeuille table.
This was a weird way of being seated if anyone asked him, but he did have to admit that their table was lovely with the organic greenery theme. But was it really a good idea for all the youngest ones to be seated together without a prefect or at least some older students to help make sure they were keeping in line? It seemed like a disaster waiting to happen, but it wasn't his decision. "Patrick... Dorian.." Gunnar gave them both an acknowledging greeting, though raised an eyebrow as he noticed them standing. Yeah, he knew about the whole respect for the Headmistress thing, which honestly seemed so reminiscent of that one term at Hogwarts where the staff was over the top with their authority. But a quick glance at the staff table told him that was not currently necessary. "Why are they standing?" he asked Kaiser in German as he took a seat next to his friend. "Don't they see the Headmistress sitting there?"He was certainly pretty sure she was the Headmistress at least, considering the chair she was in. Or was he missing something? Weird.

| Bathes in Maple Syrup | Dancing Lobster | Mrs. Charlie Weasley | Seneca's Beard | That's So Fetch All that ballet dancing and sitting and more dancing and even more sitting did a number of Belle. The beret that she had been wearing on her head was now askew, and her hair was even more of a mess than it normally was. Plus, having avoided munching on snacks on the carriage, quite an appetite had been worked up. However, none of that was going to stop her from being her bubbly self.
"Bonj-hour!" she loudly exclaimed when she arrived at the table (which had her name in it, so she was clearly destined to be there) she and the other kids her age were to sit at. "Isn't this place just mag-nifi-que?"
The fiery red head then plopped down into a seat and looked up at the staff table. There were certainly a lot of new faces up there, but she found comfort in noticing some familiar ones.
As she was about to wave her hand up at them, her stomach loudly GROWLED at her. The grumbling noise certainly wasn't going to go unheard by her neighbours, but she paid no mind to it as it was just her stomach's way of communicating. Belle simply set her elbows on the table and folded her hands, displaying her ever-patient manners as she wondered whether there would be chicken legs at this feast.

| Arts TRANSPONSTER! Had this been after any other school year Anna would probably be feeling much better about the whole Beauxbatons situation. But it wasn't. This was right after the most intense - in a very bad way - of her school years so far for more than one reason. On top of that, it was now her very last year at school and she wouldn't even get to go to her beloved Gryffindor Common Room.
So of course this Gryffindor prefect had been in a bad mood since before getting into those fancy Abraxan carriages. The fact she was in a ridiculously posh palace and in France? Nope, it didn't get her excited one bit.
The seventh year entered the Dining Chamber looking tired and annoyed. One of the few things that wasn't annoying her, however, was the fact she would get to sit with some of her friends from other houses. She supposed there would be a silver lining of sorts. "Hey." She greeted those already at the table, mainly Patrick, in a very unenthusiastic tone. She sent a quick look at the head table and noticed there was a big group of adults already there, including a few she didn't know. Assuming the one sitting at the fanciest chair was the Head of Beauxbatons, Anna took her seat along with the others.
Could they get the year started yet? The sooner the began, the sooner they'd be done, right? If only. |

| Lovely™ | Captain Hurted | Ariana's Bane | Resident Antagonist | Unparalleled Delight Oh, here was Gunnar. Kaiser, who had already started to slump slightly in his seat, found himself sitting up a little straighter again when his friend took the place beside him.
He fought the urge to look at Patrick and Dorian, glanced instead up at the staff table, and then back to Gunnar again. Breaking into a smile, Kaiser shrugged his shoulders and replied, in German (naturally), "I don't know, maybe they want to be extra 'respectful'." That part was complete with air quotes, by the way, and with a bit of a smirk that conveyed more amusement than he felt. "A bit of a ridiculous rule, if you ask me. If I wanted to follow Beauxbatons rules I'd be a Beauxbatons student." Now that he thought about it he probably would have easily qualified for admission, unlike all the figurative hoops he had had to jump through to get into Hogwarts.
But anyway, back to those two. "How long before they realise, do you think?"

| Who Am I? Ern's 2460FUN Alessandro made himself scarce on the trip to Beauxbatons. He was still not entirely certain he had made the right choice in coming to the strange Hogwarts-Beauxbatons hybrid. Durmstrang would have been a better fit and perhaps he would have even been happier.
But he had promised his friends to think long and hard about the choice, and he was true to his word. And, in the end, he had let his friends influence his choice. He frowned. Al was getting more sentimental as the years stretched-on. And now, he would be forced to endure the French. Beyond the totally unearned sense of entitlement that seemed to permeate the culture, French was a slippery, unpleasant sort of language that changed as often as the tides. There were always new rules and words and shifts in pronunciation as things flipped in and out of fashion.
However, he handled the expectation of manners leagues better than most of his peers. As he quietly slipped into the room, the Toussaint in him came into full bloom. He was politer than polite and had all the dignified airs of someone wealthy and entirely pureblood. Even if Alessandro resembled only one of those qualifiers.
And without detection, he fell into the seat beside Gunnar, nodding at Kaiser, and joined their conversation seamlessly, “German. At Beauxbatons. Are you two certain you want to isolate the French this early into the term?”

| Kimothée Chalamet • The UWU Agenda • Once Baby, Now Trouble • All Growed Up Sixth year. His first year of NEWT-level classes. In a new place that he knew nothing about, surrounded by strangers whom Drewett was certain didn't like their presence. Not tonight, though, since they had the great hall—dining chamber—all to themselves. He was dreading tomorrow when he'll have to face the rest of the French population. He would survive tonight, even if it meant standing until the speech commenced. Even if he was rather tired from the travel.
Drewett found himself a seat nearby Gunnar, Kaiser, and Al. Who were speaking German from what it seemed, and Drewett's monolingual brain could not cope. The Ravenclaw offered them both a nod of acknowledgment as he glanced around in search for maybe Hudson or Evan. He wanted to flop onto his chair now but considering what everyone was doing, he was...skeptical. "I-I don't think we're allowed to sit yet," he whispered towards his classmates, who were already on their seats apparently. Drewett didn't know why they had to stand, but sticking to the status quo was a thing for him apparently.
Eyes emoji.

| Unforgivably Cursed | adultescent Gunnar hardly took notice of the newest arrivals as more students started filtering through towards their table, but he gave the girls brief nods as they seemed to greet the table as a whole. He was rather engaged at the moment anyway, and returned the smile Kaiser gave him with a fairly amused smile of his own, following his eyes to the staff table. "Perhaps. It is rather considerate of them, as guests of course," he replied in kind, though rather facetiously, turning his eyes back to his dormmate, though keeping the standing students in his peripheral vision. But his amusement faded a bit as Kaiser continued. "True. I wonder if this will be expected the entire year, and not just at the starting feast." Respect and manners Gunnar could definitely do, but he wouldn't be all that pleased if they were unfairly expected to adhere to another school's traditions while tending to their own.
His eyes wandered towards the group of first years momentarily, but his breath soon caught in his throat as he heard the voice at his side, a voice he recognized well. Turning to see Alessandro sitting next to him, he stared at him wordlessly a moment, his expression a mixture of relief and disbelief. "You decided..." He finally said quietly, reverting back to English. Here, and not Durmstrang.
Gunnar was affected by Al's sudden appearance next to him, but he was not about to make that known. He didn't need anyone upset with him or to be upset with himself. Quickly, he glanced over at the first years waiting to be sorted again, momentarily scanning the crowd for his little brother as he willed his self-control. Okay. "I'm saving my French for when I actually speak to French people," he said, turning back to Alessandro with the hint of a smirk. His French was passable, he'd suppose, though it was textbook more than anything. He had a hard time following slang, not to mention the way they left off the ends of words and blended everything together was in such stark contrast to his beloved German language. But he was confident he could have a conversation.
And there was Drew.....also standing. He started to voice a greeting but then raised an eyebrow at his whispered warning. "What makes you so sure...?" The Beauxbatons Headmistress was already there, and that was the only standing rule he had heard of, so... Was it because there were a handful of students throughout the dining chamber still standing in front of their seats? Don't be a sheep, Drewett. He would have said more, but a shriek at another table caught his attention. Was that Chloe?
Gunnar peered at the Ombrelune table a moment, rising up in his seat a bit to try to see better. Trent and Beryl were both over there too, but he couldn't quite tell other than his sister being on the floor what was going on... Maybe he should go over and-- oh, was that vomit? Gross. Make haste with the cleaning spells, yeah?

| Lovely™ | Captain Hurted | Ariana's Bane | Resident Antagonist | Unparalleled Delight "It had better not be," Kaiser replied ominously. Though, really, what exactly was he going to do about it if that was the case? Nothing, probably, but he supposed he could still voice his dissent. He was just considering whether joking 'if it's expected in classrooms I'm dropping out for real' was an appropriate way to allude to his little wobble before and at the start of the recent summer, when Alessandro arrived.
Fairly oblivious to any sort of significance in Gunnar's reaction to the Hufflepuff's arrival - due in part to the fact that he actually had no idea that Alessandro had needed to make a decision about his schooling - Kaiser returned the nod and leaned back in his own seat.
Oh, hm. Gunnar had slipped back to English, but Kaiser found himself continuing in German. "I'm sure there are some German students here, they won't feel isolated at least." He gave a small smile. "I'll save my Italian for them." Kidding, kidd-...
... Oh. Oh.
Drew was here. Drew. Drew. Kaiser had been trying... very hard not to think about Drew for the past couple of weeks or so, for reasons. He had been planning to go on avoiding him while at school too, but that was before this whole seating arrangement thing.
Though he froze for about a second, Kaiser quickly recovered and took a long drink of water before speaking right after Gunnar, finally back to English again. "It is fine... You can-" ahem "-sit."
The commotion at the other table didn't go unnoticed by Kaiser either, and he glanced that way even as he registered exactly what those retching sounds meant. Yep, vomit. And a yelling kid? But mostly vomit. Unfortunate, but still not enough to dissuade his mind from thinking about how hungry he was getting.
Given that the situation was being handled, Kaiser turned back to his own table, and accidentally immediately looked at Drew again.
...
He drank some more water.

| Who Am I? Ern's 2460FUN Of the two Slytherins, only Gunnar looked surprised at his sudden appearance, which made Alessandro's lip quirk. Just so. Although, to be fair, it was often hard to tell exactly what Kaiser was thinking. He very well could have been surprised by his arrival, but if Al had to guess, he would put his galleons on Kaiser marking the exits and plotting some kind of escape plan. Because, well, the French.
To his stunned friend, Alessandro nodded, "I did." Because, in the end, one tiny, little nagging thought had made the choice between Durmstrang and the Hogwarts-Beauxbatons hybrid simple.
It took Alessandro a moment to place the breathy inquiry. He turned his attention to Drew and raised an eyebrow. "Why are you whispering?" Even if they were supposed to remain standing, which, at this point in the feast, was doubtful, the rest of the hall was speaking at full volume. There was no need to mumble, Drewett. It only made it harder for them to hear you.
When the other tables started to act the fool, Alessandro ignored them. After five terms at Hogwarts he knew better than to investigate every time the younger students made a scene. However, he did take a cursory glance at the staff table and smiled. The Beauxbatons staff looked exasperated already. In light of the chaos, that, at least, was a gift.
Al turned to the Slytherin prefect and coolly pointed out, "Aren't you supposed to be....prefecting?" He wasn't wishing his friend away-- quite the opposite-- but that kind of hysteria was usually handled by prefects, yes?

Hogwarts RPG Name: Jacoby Rivers Hufflepuff Sixth Year Hogwarts RPG Name: Callista Rivers Gryffindor Second Year | Stealthy Ninja Queen | Snake For Life | waddling baker | binge royalty ♚ Patrick had to fight everything in him to not roll his eyes at Gunnar. He was seriously not going to disrespect the school he’d stand until someone in power told him to sit and then he’d sit. Only he hoped it wasn’t like that one term where they were running every day and having a bunch of torture basically. He couldn’t handle that.
Everything seemed to be mellowing out at the table, he was used to hearing Gunnar talk in a different language he didn’t care he was sometimes that guy. His attentions were quickly taken to the younger tables as some intense things began to happen. He was not going to get involved since he saw the Headmaster handling the situation. There was a time and place for the prefect to step in and this was not one of them. He looked at the table and just shook his head before finally taking a seat figuring that that would be more of a distraction than him sitting down.

Quirly suddenly appeared on the table with the trusty spatula in hand andddd... a foot in a pitcher. "Quirly is... here?" BLINKblinkBLINK.
Quirly was not having a good day. Quirly kept getting losted. Now Quirly also had a wet foot. "Quirly is sorry. Quirly can fix this." Quirly said quickly. Quirly awkwardly hopped out of the pitcher. Quirly had to be very very careful. Quirly didn't want to upset the Headmaster by breaking anything. Everything at this new school was could be broken. Quirly might have seen it happen. Quirly might have seen it a few times.
