Hufflepuff Table https://s26.postimg.cc/ookwdev89/huf...ble-banner.jpg For those who belong in Hufflepuff House, in the middle of the Great Hall is where your table awaits. Gold banners containing an embroidered black badger float above the polished table in honour of the loyal Helga Hufflepuff. Already placed on the tables are silver plates with accompanying cutlery and goblets. All that is missing right now are the mountains of food and pitchers containing your favourite beverages. |
Daisy was the first to head towards her house table for her final start-of-term feast. The seventeen-year-old student carefully adjusted her uniform so that her tie was straight and her robes were free of creases and then sat down. She was curious as to who would be joining Hufflepuff this term and who would be the Prefects for Hufflepuff. Her eyes looked towards the staff table and she was amazed to see the number of staff changes, especially the sight of a centaur. Well, it was certainly going to be yet another very interesting year in her mind. |
Also mentions Staff Table Quote:
Anyway, she finally made her way to the Hufflepuff table after separating a couple of firsties who'd been fighting in the entrance hall with a "Jeez guys, at least wait until you've been sorted!" followed by one of her trademark chuckles. Only to discover that she was only the second person at the table. Odd. "Hey, Daisy!" Archer greeted, plopping onto the bench opposite. Taking a glimpse at the staff table, she spotted an interesting face. No, not the centaur (though that was an interesting development too), a certain Quidditch player. Welp, there went all her cool.... |

At Archer's exclamation, Daisy looked at the staff table yet again. "Wow! It is!" |
Maxie was twiddling his thumbs. it was very much his birthday and he was eagerly awaiting the ending of the feast so he could hurry up to the dorm and open his presents and bask in being 13. Because he was 13. a young man, no longer a little kid to be looked down on. His chest swelled with pride. Maybe this year.. would be even better than last. Sure, they'd won the cup and he'd done well on his exams but he still felt rather alone here. Was that his own doing? Yes. Did that change matters? No. Wriggling, Maxie peeked up as Daisy and Sterling spoke, pointing out the very famous qudditch player on the staff dias. Maxie, as if the man could see him, turned a very vivid shade of violent red. .................. Please, oh please don't let him be teaching flying this term. please. |
Hi hi! Kamryn was hesitant to go sit at the Hufflepuff table, part of her wanted to head over to Slytherin and see if she could find Trigger. But she knew she couldn’t abandon Bast, and so she headed over and slid into a spot and waved at everyone there. “Hey Daisy, Archer, Maxie.” She said as she greeted her fellow Hufflepuff’s. Her eyes also swung to the head table, curious about who they were talking about. .... Had she missed something? Who was at the head table? She bit her lip a little, feeling a bit out of touch with the whole Quidditch stuff. Her blue eyes scanned the table and she noticeably started as she saw who wasn’t there. Wait.. why.. She bit her lip as she looked around for Bast! |
<open> Eniola walked up to her house table and took a seat. She was so tired from the journey and couldn't wait to start the feast. It always takes so long to get everyone sorted and for the headmaster to give his speech. Longer than her stomach cares for. Eni saw the other Hufflepuffs at the table and though tired, she certainly wasn't rude. Her mother taught her how to have a conversation in a crowd. "Hey guys, how's it going? Excited to be back?" She smiled in an effort to cover up her exhaustion. |
Sebastian walked into the Great Hall, the two letters securely in his robe pocket, and made his way towards the Hufflepuff table. He looked up at the staff table for a certain face.... A certain face that wasn't there. He wasn't here anymore? What? WHY? When did he decide not to come back. Oh...man. What was he going to do now? He had to find out more information, but he would have to do that later. The feast would be starting soon. He quickly found Kam, "Hey Daisy, Archer, Maxie, Eniola! It's great to see you all. How were your summers?" He said with a genuine smile before slumping down in the seat next to Kam. Hopefully they hadn't noticed his quick mood change. "He's not here, Kam!" He whispered worriedly. "What am I going to do now?" He was thoroughly freaked...the slight anxiety that he had kicking up a notch. He rubbed his hands over his face, like he always did when he was stressed out. This was not what he was expecting at all! |
Eni looked up as the younger boy plopped down in his seat. He seemed worried. Probably just jitters for the new year. She thought to herself as she observed Seb. “Hey Sebastian.” Eniola smiled at him. “Pretty good. France is always beautiful.” She sighed in memory of the warm sun on her skin. Scotland is definitely nothing like France. In fact Eni Can often be seen on particularly frigid days wondering why she ever traded one country for the other for most of the year. ”You doing alright there Sebastian? How was your summer?” |
Hello, guys!!! Admittedly, it had seemed more important to walk back with any stragglers from the train, to make sure no one got lost. Rather than being one of the first to enter the great hall. That's what there were two of them for, right? Anyway, Aaron had forgotten about attaching the Prefect pin to his clothes, and still hadn't done so as he approached the Hufflepuff table. Actually, it wasn't until he caught sight of Archer's that he remember and quickly dug the small bit of metal from his trouser pocket. With a grimace, he carefully pinned it to a spot where it would be most visible and took a seat... He felt a bit ridiculous... Hopefully this went okay. The Hufflepuff table had Aaron's immediate attention, but Archer shouting about Colin MacKenzie.... had his head snapping to the head table where several new faces sat. Colin's... Professor MacKenzie?, was among them. Wow, they were getting some really experienced, seasoned flying instructors as of late (or, at least, Aaron was assuming that was the position he'd been given). And the Botros wasn't as starstruck since.. the guy had managed Hassan's team for ages. Some of the awe wore off after awhile, you know? .... Oh... and there was also a Centaur at the staff table.... Ahem, Aaron would reign in his excitement over that for now... but later... Yes, later. Anyway.... "Hey guys!" He offered warm, open smiles to everyone present (Daisy, Archer, Maxie, Kamryn, Eniola, Sebastian), but mainly Maxie, and winked. "Max, how was your summer?" |
Mention of Eniola but it's for everyone! New kid on the block here! Wow. So this was Hogwarts. It looked grand, just like what she had imagined. It felt nice to go back to real school, although this wasn't Ilvermorny. Still, Aurora Chae felt excited to be here after being homeschooled for half of the term. Dressing herself with the plain black school robe (yeah, this looked boring but later she could mix and match it with other item without breaking the dress code rule), the Korean-American waited for her turn to be sorted and it wouldn't be that long since her surnamed started with C so... it would be soon. She didn't really hope to be in a particular house honestly due to the differences between the housing system at Ilvermorny and Hogwarts, any house would be good. And the moment of truth had arrived, she sorting hat decided to put her in Hufflepuff and Aurora couldn't help but grinned. She walked to the table where all the fellow Hufflepuff sat and smiled at them all. Oh wait, that's Eniola right? Yeah, Aurora had met her before at Sugarplums. "Hello, everyone!" Her cherry-tinted lips curved into a smile and greeted the her fellow. Wow, this would he her family at Hogwarts. Should she make an introduction here later? She wouldn't mind if it's mandatory, obviously she's quite nervous being a new student but also the girl here was also excited. That's normal, right? |
Eniola isn't new to Hogwarts IC :) Aurora? Eniola looked up when the sorting hat called her name. That name sounds familiar. Her eyes found those of the girl that was now walking towards the Hufflepuff table. Oh! “Hey! Aurora right? Welcome to Hufflepuff.” Eniola smiled at the girl. She remembers their meeting client in Diagon Alley and Eni is always happy to see a familiar face. Or at least a friendly one. |
Maxie is so anti-social. V sorry. Quote:
There. Unrude. He'd unruded himself. He was just going to watch the staff table until the food came and then hurry on up stairs- as planned- and celebrate his birthday in peace. Aaron. A good face. A welcome face. His teammate (for whether they got back onto the team or not they had held victory together). Maxie smiled as soon as he saw the older boy. "P-Prefect." He said, the word slipping past his lips before the Hufflepuff even began to soak in the information. "y-y-you're prefect." Maxie's nose was turning red -for a number of reasons, but mostly for the fact that he'd jumped in without asnwering Aaron's question. "I-it was g-good. I read a lot." and practiced his speech therapy a lot. |
Everyone! Phew! So far Kamryn had managed to escape the inevitable “How was your summer” question that always seemed to pop up during the first few weeks of school. She didn’t want to go into how her summer was really. Or her train ride, because other than her time with Bast, it didn’t go so well. She had tried teasing Chase and Maeve but that hadn’t gone over well. And then Chase asked her if she was fine. She was always fine! It was fine! This is fine. She turned her head to look at the new comers to the table. She smiled at Eniola and Aurora, who both seemed to be new. “Welcome to Hufflepuff.” She said with a warm smile as she looked at the two girls, idly wondering if she would get some more dorm mates this year. So far it had just been her and Alanna, and that always got a bit awkward. Though she hoped they had moved past her dorm mate liking her. A smile went to Aaron as she saw the prefect pin he had. “Congrats! ” She said excitedly before turning to Bast who had noticed that Wayland wasn’t there! “Just calm down, okay? We’ll figure this out. Maybe we can find out where he went from the Headmaster yeah? Don’t worry, we will get that letter to him. ” She said as she rubbed her best friends arm reassuringly. |
Whole table! Was it just her, or did no one else seem as excited about having the Colin MacKenzie as a professor? Also, had Maxie just turned red? "Thanks!" Archer replied to Daisy's congrats. Thankfully, it didn't appear there was going to be any awkwardness with that, then. "I did. Had a good time, too!" You know, aside from her 'little' "Hey, Kam, Sebastian, Eniola!" she greeted as the three joined the table. And they were quickly followed by her fellow prefect, Aaron, who a nod since they had just seen each other in the prefect's compartment. Speaking of prefecting, duty called. "Welcome to Hufflepuff!" Wait, was this one (Aurora) another Illvermorny ex-pat? Or an ex-pat, since Archer herself wasn't technically an ex-pat herself |
Daisy looked at Archer. "I am glad to hear you had a good time at the world cup. I couldn't attend as I was busy packing my belongings for next year. I am going to be leaving home and moving into a place of my own or maybe I'll be able to enter wizarding university." After the Headmaster gave his speech, Daisy frowned, trying to process this new information. "Note to self: Ask the Divination teacher how he'd like to be referred to as. Also, be aware of mutant creatures, again." She groaned inwardly at the thought of those pink creatures. |
mention of people is highlighted in blue :) The first person that attracted the newly sorted Hufflepuff was of course the girl from sweets shop. "Eniola! Hiiiii, can't believe we're in the same house now." Did it also mean she would be one of her roomies? Ugh, this would be exciting! Aurora gave her a tiny squeeze of hug, hopefully she wouldn't mind of that. But of course Eniola wasn't the only person on the table and it would be rude to only acknowledge her. Hi... thank you for welcoming me." She said to another girl (Kamryn). "I'm Aurora Chae by the way, just transferred for my sixth year here." She had no idea if this girl was also in her year or not since she seemed so... tall (but again most people were taller than her). Hearing the female prefect (yes, she noticed the badge), Aurora couldn't help but chuckled. "You're really funny." She said in her obvious Boston accent. "But thank you, I feel great and super to be in Hufflepuff. I'm Aurora Chae, by the way." She introduced herself to the miss prefect here. People here were very nice and welcoming and Aurora felt great for that. Honestly, it wasn't easy to be a new student and she might've felt nervous a bit. But, so far her first impression was good so would she survive her year at Hogwarts? Hopefully. |
Sebastian smiled and listened as Eniola spoke. Seemed like she had been abroad just like he had been. “That’s great Eniola. I haven’t actually been to France but I have always wanted to go.” He said with a grin. It was true. Though he had lived in Italy the first few years of his life and visited many times, he hadn’t really been to many other countries in Europe. He had been to Greece a few times, but most of his travels were in the UK and around Italy. Guessing she noticed his sudden change in mood be gave her a winning smile, “Doing just fine. Summer was great. Spent most of it in Italy visiting my grandparents.” And discovering who his biological father was but she didn’t need to know that. “Hey Aaron! Congrats on making Prefect.” Sebastian called out with a smile and a wave. Then a really pretty girl (Aurora) greeted them all and the sudden distraction of her made him forget his worries. “Hello, there. Welcome to Hogwarts.” Sebastian said with one of his famous grins. He could be a really good flirt whenever he wanted to be. Then he was brought back to reality by Kam. He took a deep breath and wiped his hand over his face again, releasing the breath with a great sigh. “Yeah you are probably right. But…I wanted to hand deliver it. Kind of messed up my plans,” he said with another big sigh. Oh, well. Maybe he could send a letter asking if it would be okay to visit him over Christmas. Maybe suggesting that he was thinking about a career in Magizoology…which wasn’t a big fib…he was considering. The thought derailed when Archer greeted them. He sent her a smile and a wave. “Congrats on Prefect.” He said with a wink. Hey…she was pretty too. Honestly there were a lot of pretty girls and really cute guys at this school. He was distracted all the time. |
